Nig4Greatness: ..
Lol...So you wanna go back to US just to watch super bowl. What stops you from streaming same online where you are?. I already bought my ticket & wanna witness the action live. Usually the Match ticket plus Airfare & Hotel Accommodation are usually expensive. But since it’s coming to my city, I only had to worry about the Match Ticket. |

lionlee216: In other words, a guy took a lady to the hotel bar I was staying. He was drinking water while the lady was drinking Smirnoff ICE.
I remember those days when u dont have money but want to impress your babe. You drink water while your date will drink juice
Same as when u go Mr Biggs, you see guys eating meat pie while girls eating fried rice with chicken with juice/ice cream and will still do takeaway. Exactly what I witnessed at Mr Biggs today.
Good old days lol This’s very funny. You’ve to impress your date na. Some will even order take away pack for their friends as well. |

Romance › Re: My Wife Is Emasculating Me by Alexandre7: 11:25am On Jan 01, 2020 |
pocohantas: He hasn't recovered, he should be useful for now. Not for his wife, but his kids. I don't care what he does with his wife when he recovers, she probably doesn't care too and if all OP said is the truth, she has waited so long for this moment. Some women just need men for the marriage and (temporary) comfort men can provide. This is a model that is okay for the Nigerian man too, even though they always cry when it backfires.
Nigerian men only win bread, they don't know how to win any other thing- even the hearts and sympathy of their women. Always thinking everything is manee, manee, manee. Lol... You & Nigerian Men. But most Nigerian Women don’t appreciate gifts like flowers & chocolates. They rather have Cash, Cold Stone, Pizza & Chicken. So entirely unfair to place the blame squarely on Nigerian Men. Meanwhile Happy New Year, May this year bring you and your family good tidings. |

I went to the Village Stream with my Cousin.
This Stream is usually where most Villagers get their waters from.
Except you’re one of the lucky few that do have a borehole in your compound.

lionlee216: I have 2 frustrations.
Number 1: People I know in Nigeria be saying when I come home, I need to be very careful(its a good advice). Dont walk, dont take bike, always go with your car BUT the way I saw people driving on the road assured me I can't survive that kind of driving no more without bashing my car and my driving license will even be delivered to my on Wednesday(Jan 1st). My friend that helps with movement had to go on errands and I have places to be. My friends in the US said it's a bad idea to go to the bank alone that I might be kidnapped. I was like how will be kidnapped? Will I walk to the bank and say " Hey people, I'm from the US". I have a very strong ibadan accent just like Aywhy93 so how will someone kidnap me. I'm a full blooded Nigerian and I just want to experience stuffs that I have done before. I walked to the bank smiling hearing the horn of cars, people cursing lol.. I took a bike and was so glad. I enjoyed the breeze as the bike was rolling down iwo road. It reminded me of my roots and how fun it is to be climbing back then AND I wasnt kidnapped..
Frustration Number 2 : When i visited people I had to deliver goods to, Anytime I say "My name is xxxxxx and your son sent me from the US" You see them kneeling down and all kind of stuffs and kinda made me so embarrassed. They were giving me some kind of treatment but I just want to be seen as a person that I am not because of where i come from/lives. I have been asked severally how I'm coping with the hot weather. I'm always quick to remind them that I'm a Nigerian and weather can't do no harm. The weather I have had for over 30 years. I was being treated because of my "status" which I really didnt like at all. We are all human beings before any other things else Why don’t you hire a driver, That’s exactly what I did, Usually he works from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM But most times I usually send him home early whenever I’m done with my tasks. Plus he also drives me out-of-state for official visits. He gets mostly Sundays off to attend to his needs. |

lionlee216: I downloaded Bolt and took a trip from my location access bank to get my account fixed. That was when the reality of Nigeria starts to set. After waiting for 15mins, I was told there is no instant card available. I took bolt to Iwo road(Ecobank) to fix that one too only for the lady to tell me I'll need to wait for 40mins. I was like why do i need to wait for 40 mins.
I walked down to access bank, filled atm request form, told me to go downstairs to verify BVN then bring the form back upstairs. The lady at the customer service dragging her feet. Then I remember how I would request for my atm online and then delivered to my mailbox. Then I started remembering how it used to work.. Wasted over 2hrs because of atm card that I can easily do online within 3 mins. Lol... That’s Naija for you. I opened both a Naira Account as well as a Dorm Account at First Bank since December. So far I haven’t received my ATM Card yet. Today, our ATM Card Printing Machine is down Tomorrow, Our Network is down It has been excuse after excuse, Hopefully, I’ll be able to pick it up before I head back to the states. |

lionlee216: So when i checked into the hotel, I booked in advance with a security deposit of 150k. So when I take table water, food, laundry, i dont have to pay. It will be deducted from my security deposit.
I have 2 plates of jollof rice, 1 poundo yam, 3 bottled water and 3 glasses of "Sex on the beach" and the total came to 18,750N. I was very shocked but when I converted the money back to $$, I realised it wasnt too much.
I have always had that problems when people demand money in naira from me, I always get shocked because I always feel the amount is too much until I convert to $$. Lol... You’re enjoying your vacation. Welcome to Nigeria once again. |

Forget all that.
I'm not saying there is no hunger but I'm saying there is no creativity.
We love shortcuts that takes back to square one. It’s true that we love shortcuts but creative people do exist in Nigeria. Just that there isn’t an encouraging environment for development & advancement. |
