fasterwell: Only 2 of the revelations were revealed and the 3rd one is still kept secret becos of its vital information which vatican has vowed to keep to themselves.
Now u agreed that it has something to do with the Blessed Trinity, so why can't vatican be bold enough to reveal it?
Of we all know that the United Trinity is here on earth but vatican who got the revelations has refused to tell the world the truth becos if they do, that will be the end of catholic and vatican don't want it.
Are u aware that in the 3rd revelations that it said satan will walk into vatican in human form?
Now do u agree with me that the previous pope did not resign because of old age but was actually sacked by God?
Oh my God! This is a complete waste of time. Remain in Ignorance. Bye
So the Islamic was responsible for the assassination attempt on Pope John paul ii?
Islam don suffer!
Let me tell u that the assassination attempt on him was because he wanted to reveal the 3rd revelation and some top official vowed to stop him
So they have to kiss the ground thrice abi?
Continue deceiving urself
I think we all know who the liar is here.
Before Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger ascended to the papacy, the Fatima secret has long been revealed to Saint Pope JohnPaul II.
And please, don't force words into my mouth. Read my previous post well. I said Islamic terrorist and not Islam. I further went ahead to mention Isis. Terrorism and Islam are two separate entities.
Finally, the number three has so many significance. It stands for so many things, the blessed trinity Included.
fasterwell: Liar! Thats what vatican wants the world to believe. Which faith has not faced trials and persecution before?
Why did God sacked previous pope?
Why did they tried to assassinate pope john paul?
Immedately pope john paul land in Nigeria, what did he do as soon as he step down from the plane?
Ignorance.
God did not sack the previous pope. He resigned because of old age and he felt that he could no longer be capable of running the affairs of the Church.
Saint Pope Johnpaul II was shot but thankfully not assassinated by an Islamic terrorist from turkey. I hope you know how those extremist behave. They feel they are doing the world a huge favor by eliminating christians. Even now, Isis is threatening Pope Francis.
Finally, it is a customary duty of popes to kiss the ground of the country they go on pastoral visitation immediately after they alight from the plane. They do that to invoke God's blessings on the country.
I was taught that when you don't know much about anything, you keep quiet, ask and Learn. Think this might be of help.
Please stop confusing yourself. Jesus Christ is very different from Olumba or ogumba, whatever you call. And if you must know, the third Fatima secret was about the trials and persecution that will rock the church and the pope.
blesoh: Bros park well abeg, olumba is dead his son Roland took over from him, meanwhile they was power tussle between Roland and his sister Elizabeth, because of the throne, 34ambo are bowing down to him meanwhile Elizabeth took part of the church with her, who you de lie give abeg
Lol. You harsh sha. See as you give am the bitter history.
The headline is very misleading. He does not want priests getting married, but he raises the prospects of some married men of great faith becoming priests in specific circumstances and even some Anglican priests who came to the catholic faith.
ELLOW CATHOLICS, DON'T BE INTIMIDATED BY WHAT THE PROTESTANTS THINK OF US. It is what we belief and hold to be true that matters. I read the accusations that we catholics do not read the bible. Going through the comments, I decided to open this thread, not for arguments but for the catholics who might have been intimidated by these accusations and hate.
The long held stereotype that we catholics do not read the bible should be debunked and discarded. We can never read the bible enough. it is clearly fallacious to say that a church that determined the canon of the scriptures, a church that ceaselessly promoted the reading and study of the sacred scripture and has spared no means in this regard; a church that affords the word of God a privileged place in her public office,to the point that she understands that Jesus is verily present in HIS WORD, since it is he himself who speaks when the holy Scriptures are read in the church; does not value the scripture.
Leave the protestants to their beliefs and face yours. It does not pay to engage in mindless and time wasting discussions
BluntBoy: My God!!!! Who taught you that nonsense?
That verse meant a lot. In the physical context, Jesus was dying and Mary was soon to be bereaved. There was the possibility that Joseph had died at this time and Mary was a poor widow who was soon to lose her son. Jesus handed her care over to this disciple whom he loved. The disciple thereafter took Mary in.
The term "woman" was not unusual in those days.
First of all, it's not nonsense. Please choose your words carefully.
Thank you for acknowledging that those words mean a lot, in fact lots more than our feeble human understanding can comprehend. Those words Jesus muttered on the wood of the cross is far more than what we can perceive from the superficial, but it signifies that the Motherhood of her who bore Christ finds a continuation in the church and through the church symbolized and represented by John.
I resolved not to engage in these kinds of arguments again. With all respect sir, I will not reply again. It's been nice sharing views with you
BluntBoy: When did Jesus give his mother to the Church. Please, provide a Bible verse.
Of course I will. John 19:26-27 ..."Woman this is your son... Son this is your Mother..."
The unusual term "Woman" suggests that the Writer (John himself),sees more in this than the gesture of a dutiful son. It is a declaration that Mary, is the mother of all the faithful, in otherword, the church, and John a direct apostle of Jesus, is the representative of the church
BluntBoy: She was and is not the mother of God. She was the mother of the humanity of God. No one asks you to honor Mary. The Bible never asked us to. Jesus Himself never asked us to honor Mary. How many times did He even mention Mary?
One of the greatest mistake of Pentecostalism is to try to separate the divinity from the humanity of Christ while he was on earth. Jesus was fully GOD and fully MAN. United in the one person of Jesus are these two natures. In this sense, Mart is the mother of Jesus who is God so she is the Mother of God. Thus, I echo what the Early church fathers in the year 431 at Ephesus declared: "according to his divinity, born of his Father before all ages, according to his humanity, born of the virgin Mary for us and for our salvation, a union was made of these two natures...in accord with this understanding of the unconfused union, we confess that the holy virgin is the Mother of God..."
There, you have seen it. As early as 431 the early church has already confessed to this truth.
Jesus gave his mother to the church and the church to his mother when he was on the pulpit of the cross. He said " behold your Mother". I don't know about you but I honour my Mother.
As to how many times Jesus mentioned Mary, I think that is besides the point. but so you should know, though the WRITERS mentioned Mary just few times, all of those times have great significant meaning.
That should tell anyone that I have no idea myself. But to jump into the conclusion that the woman is Mary and must thus be bowed down to is plain ridiculous. Mary is dead, just like other mortals like Moses, Aaron and the Twelve Disciples. That God used her as a vessel does not mean she should be worshipped or honoured like a god. She was human. She only found favour and was used. God can use anyone. Even Cyrus, a pagan king was used by God. Wouldn't it be stupid for the Israelites to start bowing down to Cyrus.
And finally, these images you bow down to, how sure are you that they even bear any resemblance to whom you claim to honor?
Yes she was human. But a very special one. One destined by God since the Adamic fall in the economy of salvation. She was a human, but had the highest grace ever received or to be received. We honour her, whom God chose to be born of for the world. We honor her the Godbearer who was worthy of such a noble role. So she was not just an ordinary vessel. She is a vessel of honour, the turris davidica.
philiancoop: This sounds like the idolatry we read in the Bible. Why can't the God that lives in the "blessed" sacrament they bow to protect and fight for himself? How will he now protect them from being kidnapped?
I hope you know that the ark of the covenant was captured many times in the bible?
Its almost 5 years now. Captain was our dog, a german shepherd, who died fighting. Saved us from a dangerous snake, but the venom got to him. Died in my father's arms in front of the vet.
Aizenosa: Lol you are very funny, these your protestant beliefs hold no water, ur founders though they were against the church believed who Mary was yet u their offspring have no idea who she is, u claim that the church sneaked books into the Bible, but history has again showed how lying and persistence in lying has showed dat we shouldn't take your biases as truths. The books in the Bible which you claim that we sneaked in were there before you protestants tried and failed at sneaking them out.
Please grow up and read history of Christianity with an open mind, yes the church has had its ups and downs but the Holy Spirit has been kind enough to help her overcome, that is why it's still standing and waxing strong and winning souls for Christ.
So I employ u learn with an open mind and seek the Holy Spirit for wisdom and understanding and He shall reveal all things.
Hello bro! I am a full fledged Catholic. I was only answering him in a sacarstic manner. But I appreciate your gentle manner of addressing issues. you are a good man
