The veteran Nollywood actress Empress Njamah, TV Personality Amb. Rachel Bakam were pictured amongst other female celebrities and beauty queens who had joined the movement, with the novelty match held in Abuja recently.‎

The game had been organised in a bid to create awareness on rape issues as well as the protection of the rights of the #GirlChild.

Queen Serena Amarachukwu Joseph , Former Miss Ambassador For Peace Nigeria(south west ) and reignng Miss Orient Advisor Nigeria who doubles as Girl Child Advocate recently visited Babs Fafunwa Millennium School Ojodu , Lagos State to carry out a Project On "Peace Education Programme for Girl Child / Girl Child Education" and also to celebrate the international Women's Day.

As an Advisor as she spoke and  addressed them on several health and social issues like Personal Hygiene, Etiquette including GirlChild Social Vices such as Prostitution, Indecent Dressing, Lesbianism, Exam Malpractice, Drug Addiction, Alcholism‎, Inter group Violence, Internet Addiction and Cultism.  As An Orient Advisor, her duty is to advise and counsel them against these vices, help them stand against it and avoid it. She further buttressed on the effects, help and guide them to know the right step to take.

The pretty beauty queen targets are the younger girls, teenage girls, underserved girls , teenage mothers in our society. Theprogram was to help them focus on their education, focus in life , educate them on others factors aside from havig a better teenage life, become role models and leaders tomorrow, but assist  them keep a proper hygiene as girls, because ' When you Educate a Girl, You Educate a Nation'

While speaking the journalists at the visitation, she said‎ "I am happy to be educating these young girls on "Personal Hygiene and Etiquette".I distributed exercise books, pen, pencils, carrier bags, sanitary pads to them"

She further added the reason for the project. In her words "‎ My Motivation is to motivate and inspire the African Girl Child and Girls around the world, no matter their background, Religion,education or scars. Give them hope , help them believe in themselves and stand up for themselves. To do a good job and achieve  the desired result, Affecting and touching lives as i work on my project" Queen Serena had been to other schools for the Peace Education program for Girl Child /Girl Child Education and she does not intend to stop now.

Besides the project, she had  also organised a Digital Skill Training recently for Entrepreneurs, Business Owners ,Students in business, Marketing and advertising manager, working class professionals , corps members, fresh graduates ,helping them to promote their business and taking it globally and to those trying to get a desired job.‎

Queen Chizoba Ejike, Miss Intercontinental Africa Speaks At the Police Induction Ceremony


. Reigning Miss Intercontinental Africa, Queen Chizoba Ejike who was recently unveiled as Nigerian Police Ambassador was a guest speaker at the Induction Ceremony of newly recruited and promoted officers of Anambra state Police command last week.

Dana Air has announced that lovers of the Nigerian Professional Football League teams will stand a chance of winning return air tickets at the rescheduled first leg encounter between Akwa united and Heartland fc on 21st March, in uyo the Akwa Ibom state capital.

According to Dana Air’s Media and Communications Manager, Kingsley Ezenwa, the initiative is to encourage more people to follow the Nigerian league teams and also encourage them to visit the venues of these matches to cheer the teams to victory.

Speaking further, Kingsley said, 'we are also going to be promoting the match on all our social media platforms and fans can also win tickets and loads of other prizes when they participate in the predict and win competition.

Following the story online about a 31 year old man raping a small girl of 9 years, US based Nigeria model and Founder of Mary Timms Foundation has reacted over the incidence. 

Read below:

"It breaks my heart to read over the Internet the several cases of Rape of minors and young ladies. Situations like these gave birth to my passion to fight against this inhumanity to man. Where are going to? Tears run down my eyes when I hear these sad stories and the pains these little girls tend to live with forever. Though, Rape can be either way, but cases of underaged ladies are becoming prevelent by the day.

It beats my imagination why a 31 year old man in Bayalsa state will Rape a young girl of 9 year? What a wicked world and diabolic act? The man was said to have lured the minor with N20 as ‎reported yesterday. This act must be discouraged, it is not only babaric but also dehumanizing and trumatic to the victims.

I Mary Timms is calling on the Government to fight for its citizens by way of protecting them more with the help of security agencies. While our celebrities should lend their voices with their influence and platforms as we join hands to fight this stigmatic scourge. Our NGO - Mary Timms Foundation has launched out this fight against Rape, and I and my team will stop at noting to ensure we put a stop to it with much awareness campaign and fruitful working relationship with security agencies in different parts of the Nigeria and in diaspora."

Dana Air Welcomes Audit, Reassures Guests of Safety


Dana Air wishes to thank the AIB for releasing the preliminary report on the Port Harcourt runway incident involving one of our aircraft on 23rd of February 2018.

Excerpts of the reports confirmed that the Air Traffic Control, an arm of the Nigerian Air Space Management Agency that is saddled with the responsibility of issuing instructions that the pilots are required to obey, had cleared the pilot in command to land.

It is pertinent to note that the pilot of that flight is a happily married man and a proud father of three beautiful children. He has over 30 years experience in the aviation industry and is one of the very best in his profession, meticulous in his duties, and headhunted from another domestic airline where he also served as the head of safety and quality standards.

Considering the safety measures that we have put in place and our huge investment in training and retraining of our crew and pilots, we decided not to join issues, but to rather wait on the report of the AIB, the authentic body responsible for such investigations.

In 2013, The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) and its foreign partners, the Flight Safety Group, carried out an audit on our operations and in 2016, as a result of our commitment to  global safety standards, we applied to become a member of the International Air Transport Association (IATA), went  through their audit and subsequently became a member in 2016.

We therefore welcome the recent audit ordered by the Federal Government and we are willing to work with the team and the FG to demonstrate our commitment not just to flying but to flying safe.

Our route and fleet expansion program is still very much on course and we remain dedicated to our recent interline and aircraft partnership with Asky airline, another formidable airline in Africa.

We wish to thank the honorable minister of state for aviation, Hadi Sirika, who has proven himself as a  technocrat, and  our esteemed guests for keeping faith with us while the incident was under investigation and we wish to reassure our guests of our commitment towards providing safe, reliable and affordable air transport.

Confederation Cup: Dana Air flies Akwa united as team heads to Tunisia 

Team Akwa United comprising 18 players and 12 officials departed Ibom International Airport Sunday afternoon on board Dana Air to Lagos from where they will proceed to Tunisia for the first leg of their CAF Confederation Cup First Round match against Al-Ittihad of Libya.

Al-Ittihad are playing their home matches at their adopted home in Tunisia 


The 2017 Aiteo Cup champions will jet out of Lagos on Sunday night through Turkish Airlines to Istanbul in Turkey before connecting Tunis in Tunisia on Monday morning.

United overturned a 1-2 deficit against Hawks of Gambia, after winning the second leg 0-2 in Banjul to advance 3-2 on aggregate to the First Round.

The match against Al-Ittihad will be played on Wednesday 7th March 2018 in the Tunisian city of Sfax.

This is the second time the airline will be flying the team as part of its sponsorship deal for the club and commitment to developing the Nigerian Professional League.
