"Oh My Ribs Comedy Night" Lights Abuja With Massive Turnout Of Showbiz Personalities,


It was a night of humour, laughter and networking amongst showbiz Personalities and other top Abuja-based executives, as "Oh My Ribs Comedy night Show" illuminates an atmosphere of merry-making for Abuja residents who were present to grace the amazing comedy show.

The event was held at the Capital Bar of Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja on the 15th of June, hosted by by Abuja based Popular comedians and MC, "Shortcut" and MC Bob, but packaged by Peace Ambassador Agency. It was indeed an event that attracted several massive turnouts of celebrities, top executives and diplomates.

The "Oh My Ribs Comedy night Show" was held in partnership with Transcorp Hilton Hotel and the Peace Ambassador Agency, known to be one of the most influential event host agency in Abuja and across Nigeria. According to guests at the comedy night show, they expressed appreciation to the organisers and host of the show, describing the event as funfilled and amazingly humourous.

The event organiser Amb. Kingsley Amafibe has also thanked guests, invited personalities and partners for their support, presence and contributions at making the Abuja "Oh My Ribs Comedy Night Show" a success. He used the opportunity to invite everyone to another memorable edition of the comedy bliss on the 13th of July, 2019 at same venue by 6:00pm.

"MC Bob The Magnificent Comedy Show" had the performance of high profile Comedians like, Akpororo, Wole Arole, Shortcut, MC Tagwaye, Koboko Master, Dee One, Sam & Song, 3310, Leaking Mouth, Job Legend, MC Papi, Wafi and Ukobo, except MC Tagwaye who was present but didn't come on stage to mimick the president as he is popularly known for.

The crowd was indeed thrilled by the presentation of Danfo Drivers, as everyone mimicked the Danfo driver dance style that threw the ambience ablaze. Other comedians and singers including Sammy West, brother to popular Nigeria Nollywood Actress Regina Daniels was also on stage to make impressive performance giving the show a constant flow of excitement, merriments and laughter and Ferrycee a young exceptional female Singer who dazzled the crowd.

The Zimbabwe government has banned the use of foreign currency as legal tender alongside the local RTGS dollar, in an apparent bid to arrest galloping increases of prices of basic commodities and other goods and services.

However, payment for international airline services in foreign currency will still be allowed.

Finance and Economic Development Minister Mthuli Ncube announced the ban on Monday.

“With effect from the 24th of June, 2019, the use of the British pound, United States dollar, South African rand, Botswana pula and any other foreign currency whatsoever shall no longer be legal tender alongside the Zimbabwe dollar in any transactions in Zimbabwe,” the minister said in a Statutory Instrument (SI).

Ncube said this means that the Zimbabwe dollar, which is at par with the RTGS dollar and the bond notes and coins, would be the sole legal tender with immediate effect.

Zimbabwe, which abandoned its local currency, the Zimbabwe dollar, in 2009 following years of hyperinflation, has been using a basket of nine multi-currencies dominated by the U.S. dollar.

The others are the British pound, the euro, the Chinese yuan, the Australian dollar, the Indian rupee, the South African rand, the Botswana pula and the Japanese yen.

The SI said the new regulations do not affect the opening or operation of foreign currency-designated accounts, which shall continue to be designated in the foreign currencies with which they are opened and in which they are operated, or the making of foreign payments from such accounts.

Also not affected is the requirement to pay customs duties and value-added tax in any of the foreign currencies for goods specified under the law to be luxury goods.
A serious shortage of foreign currency has spurred a black market where the U.S. dollar was on Monday trading at 1:11 RTGS dollars at the minimum, while the official interbank rate was at around 1:6.

President Emmerson Mnangagwa said last week that Zimbabweans should expect to start using a new local currency by the end of 2019 or the first quarter of 2020, as the government has made strides putting in place macroeconomic fundamentals needed before its re-introduction.

He said the current scenario where Zimbabwe has no control over the supply and availability of the currencies in use is unacceptable.

According him when a blogger called him to be sure the story was true, he said, "There is no single truth in that story and I don't know why these people would do this".

"All I did was upload the video when I saw it like every other person did and being a Luxury Entrepreneur, I captioned my upload thus, "REAL LUXURY LIFESTYLE.....THE POWER OF MONEY.....PICKING UP A VIP WHO IS STUCK IN TRAFFIC ON THE LAGOS BENIN EXPRESSWAY". These purveyors of fake news concluded on their own that I must have been the one who either got picked up or sent the chopper to pick someone and without reaching out to me to ascertain the veracity of their assumption, went to press with such story". I mean, when you called me now, I picked and attended to you, meaning that I am reachable and I wonder why these your colleagues didn't atleast, try to reach me before publishing the kind of falsehood going round against my person.

I plead therefore, Mr. Osula continued, for the general public to disregard the fake stories going round the Social Media, that I, Julian Osula of Julian's Luxury had anything to do with the incident in question and would like to encourage Bloggers and Online Publishers to verify stories always before publishing them.

Some blogs had reported that a certain Nigerian Billionaire yesterday, had a helicopter come pick him up when he was stuck in traffic the Lagos-Benin Expressway
