Happy new months guys

Please someone should help me answer this;

How long should the bank statements be from when you printed it to when you apply. I.e what is the recommended gap between when you actually printed it and when you apply?

The reason for this question is this; I printed my bank statement from ph and ttavelled to abj for my new passport but now I've been waiting for my new passport in Abj for more than a month. Should I go back ph to get new statement or wait because I was told it will be ready next week or at most week after next

cic needs your bank statements for the past four months(minimum). So, fairly implies that a bank statement older than a month will not meet the last four month requirement in my view as it will cover the past 3 months and a gap of one month and as such too risky to be used. I will personally not use a bank statement older than 15 days. Just go to the bank and print a new one as there is no need to take unnecessary risk. Goodluck

Anyway in linking ur paper application online the details must be entered exactly the way u filled it during ur application. so kindly recheck the details again and with ur copy of your application on hand and enter the details in the same format. Goodluck

i answered ur question because u asked of processing fees for student visa. If you are going to use an agent the i dont think i can be of help in this regard. You have to find one or someone could recommend you. But u can do everything yourself if you are willing to read, find information online and have the time. Good luck

NB: An agent is not running charity organization so far as he is in business he will charge for his/her services.

I just submitted my passport for stamping last week and I haven't gotten it back. the school just notified me that they may withdraw My current offer and give me another for the next fall 2017. it has not been withdrawn yet and won't be before I get my trv. the reason for wanting to withdraw it is late resumption

Welcome. Since you have submitted youur passport and the school has not withdrawn your offer yet, then u can inquire from the school the deadline for late resumption and if it's possible to get there before the deadline then u can go ahead with your travel plans. All the best

since your program has been deferred to fall 2017 it will not be advisable to leave now unless u are having a different category of visa as well in my opinion. You may have issues at POE when u meet a difficult immigration officer who may question ur reason for coming early. Somewhere in June-August is fairly reasonable than almost a year to resumption.

play safe and cancel ur flight or travel arrangement then or better still change the departure date since u have ur trv already.

this may be useful in booking ur next date if u decide to hold on travel plans

"On your Port of Entry (POE) Letter of Introduction is a box titled “Permit validity”. You must come to Canada prior to that date. If the validity date has passed and you have not yet come to Canada, you must submit a new application. You cannot extend the validity date on your Letter of Introduction. Your Letter of Introduction will be valid for the requested length of your work permit, study permit or super visa. You may be eligible to extend your work permit once you are in Canada".

It's difficult to get recent videos, coupled with the fact that they are heavy. I wud suggest opentuition if data isn't your problem. Their videos are always recent, and you can download them if you have idm installed on your system

thanks bro for ur swift reply. wanted others videos as well since open tuition isnt detailed enough. Met a guy online but he is demanding $50 per paper for 2016 lsbf vids which is a bit on the high side. Thanks anyway for the text

i would advice you explicitly and concisely prepare her sponsorship letter,narrating the nature of her business and providing those relevant business docs like i stated earlier and more if available to evidentially prove that and stating how much will be made available from the account as you prepare your funds for ur duration at least a year.since she pays them in cash while not for the purpose of ur travel start making those transactions in bank or you help her do so, so that business transactions will be convincingly seen.

you are for Masters which implies as we postulated,you are deemed credible as a student . Meanwhile what type of business is that your mum has got?since the answer is still pending,lemme similarly point out that you have to initiate business transactions of hers as you build up the account.what i mean is, it would appear convincing that her business activities are seen as you build up the account since you have taken sole responsibility to that effect. I have read here about successful applicants who didn't have CAC and tax clearance but they provided business related documents like invoices,receipts e.t.c.so it all depends on how detailed and smartly transparent you are.if the business appears registered if being advised to do so now,it might seem fishy to the VO.my thought though..

she is mainly into general trading, major wholesale and retail distributor of tail comb and other plastic combs to a local comb manufacturer in Ghana. Was thinking of re-registering the business since the business was registered in her sister's name but this will look fishy; hence not an immediate option. She pays the local manufacturer about 1.3 million naira (cedis equivalent) every week but in cash and one other supplier in cash as well. i was thinking of replacing the cash payment with cheque or standing order if possible (though the cheque issuing is more likely). How will this help my application and is there anything else i do to help improve my case.

NB: the manufacturer opted to sponsor me through the use of his company but i humbly rejected this since will not help my case and may not seem genuine.

i was denied few weeks back and CIC ticked this reasons on my refusal letter:

Pursuant to Section 219 of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulation, I am not satisfied that you:

1.have sufficient and available financial resources, without working in Canada, to pay the tuition feesfor the course or program of studies that you intend to pursue

2.have sufficient and available financial resources, without working in Canada, to maintain yourselfand any family members who are accompanying you during your proposed period of study.

i was my mom's step sis as my sponsor though i didnt show proof of relations because of a fire incident that destroyed documents like birth certificates.

i have now decided to use my mom as my sponsor and went ahead to open a current account on her behalf just last week. its my plan to build up her account and use in march for my application. Will this raise an eyebrow since the business is totally informal and not registered.

i have request for my gcms file as well but want the gurus in the house to help regarding this next hurdle.

Please can someone defer Jan 2017 admission now for May 2017...if his not ready to apply for Trv or should he try and see?

well, i believe the appropriate quarters to answer this is the school's admission office or department. Some schools give prospective students only one chance to defer so u have to weigh ur options well. Also, as to deferring to May 2017 will depend on whether or not ur course will be available in the may 2017 session. Check on ur school's website for this

Lastly, i would not advise you to ''try and see'' but apply when you meet the minimum application requirement (thus, if u aint a complex applicant) and ''ready to apply''

Concerning trying again ehnn...really don't know yet wanna know any other country Dt can epp my life right now

i would advice u to secure an admission in M.A in Economics or show proof that ur current job is related to or demands logistics and supply chain management that will help clear the purpose of visit.

anyway, about ur delay bro/sis. i was delayed some weeks back too so are not alone. what was ur reasons for refusal in ur first application please, i want to check something.

Purpose of visit is often ticked when the VO doesnt see academic or career progression. Is the course u are going to pursue a progression of what u did in undergrad??

there is still chance to try again only if u are willing to as pple like Arcayo (not sure of the spelling) have got on their third attempt.

An update on my application...i was denied on financial grounds. Been busy after my application was delayed. Writyen to school for my admission to be deferred.

Please is it compulsory to link it online or does it mk it faster to process

Well it's not compulsory to link your paper application online and it doesn't speed up the application either.

"After you link your application, all messages about your application will be sent to you through your account". Thus, serves as a means of keeping you updated and notified of your application.

My beautiful nairaland family, got a mail from cic now to check my account, i had checked it this morng tho, the 5mins i used in logging in was d longest 5mins of my life, i saw a mail in my account, it was approval mail, applied paper may 4, will upload my documents later. God is indeed good

I have started my process for UNBC today, Buh I discovered that Edu counselling is only available for Sept resumption nd the deadline for app has even expired, till next year sept.

So I am left with an option to choose between History, interdisciplinary studies or Political science all Masters of Art (MA)

Would hav preferred Political science buh wen I went through the site I discovered that dey accept students with Bsc in Political science, or they admit with special provisions made regarding course work and thesis research programs. My undergraduate course was in Business Education (Accounting Option)

Would this affect my chances. The guy that is helping me with the whole process has told me that it would nt affect me buh I need to be sure.

if you want to divert from what u studied during undergraduate studies, "I hope you have several strong compelling reasons for that, because when you apply for a Canada student visa you would have to write a statement of purpose to CIC convincingly stating why you are doing this course switch. Treat this very very importantly otherwise you will get a "Purpose of Visit" and "Length of Proposed Stay" visa denial."

NB: some portion of answer are direct reply I got from @thesoj almost a year ago(August 2015) and I believe this shd help answer ur questions about whether or not it may affect ur chances.

This is only for people who have bet365 account. If the inplay bet loses the $50 will be refunded. Hence a profit of $23.5. That's why it's called risk free hope u understand
