Dear Sir/Madam,

Due to significant and unforeseen increases in the volume of temporary resident applications we receive (temporary resident visas, study permits, and work permits), we are currently outside regular processing times. We continue to process applications as quickly as possible in the order they were received.

Good day my good people. Can one still apply for a TRV for Fall 2017 -this september- admission? I should have done so since but several bottlenecks along the way. Please respond.
Thanks

yeah u can still apply but be ready to defer to the next available date (Jan 2018 or Fall 2018) when u do not hear CIC before resumption deadline. CIC will ask for a new admission letter when they want to approve your application and your admission letter has elapsed

Pls House I want to ask just 2 vital questions about general questions about Canada visa ! What advantages do I stand to gain if I already paid my school fees ( Full payment of a academic year ) ! Do I still need to send bank statements , affidavits and blah blah !! Secondly , How many documents do I need to complete my visa application ?

1. What advantages do you stand to gain..?? well, paying full tuition for a year is a sign of commitment to your education in Canny and may also reduce the financial burden on your bank statement.

2. Do I still need to send bank statements?? yes u do.. because payment of fees alone isnt the minimum requirement for CIC's proof of funds. CIC requires you to prove also that you can cater for yourself without working in Canada and as such an additional 10,000cad will be required as living expense.
Aside this, if your duration of your studies is more than a year then CiC may also assess your ability to continue to cater for your studies using the bank statement and other document

3. beware the CIC can refuse an applicant on other reasons such Purpose of Visit, Current Employment Situation etc. Hence, aside you showing you have sufficient funds available, you should try to look at this too.

3.How many documents do I need to complete my visa application ? There is no specific number of documents to submit, however u can on this for Popular chopping trv on page 0 or here

Happy Sunday pals, please when filling the visa application form ......
The cost of my studies will be :
Tuition:
Room and board:
Other :
Please am i to calculate for one year or the full program?
Pls i need your responses

for tuition write what is written on ur admission letter or tuition estimates given to you by the school.
Room and Board : 10000
Other: 2000-5000**

Please am i to calculate for one year or the full program? Calculate for a year

** depending on ur financial muscle

Below is an Excerpts from CiC page on financial sufficiency..
''Students are required to demonstrate financial sufficiency for only the first year of studies, regardless of the duration of the course or program of studies in which they are enrolled. In other words, a single student entering a four-year degree program with an annual tuition fee of $15,000 must demonstrate funds of $15,000 to satisfy the requirements, and not the full $60,000 which would be required for four years. Officers should be satisfied however that the probability of funding for future years does exist (i.e., parents are employed); scholarship is for more than one year. Applications for extensions made to CPC-V must also meet this requirement''.

hope this helps wink

Hello aous,
Please I need your advise,
I did my upfront medical on 21st of April and linked my application online 29th April but till this present moment my medical is yet to be updated on my application.

I called the hospital and I was told my medical was uploaded of cic portal on the 25th of April.
Please I don't know why it has not reflected on my account.
Kindly advice .
Thank you.

Did u receive a medical request or u really meant upfront as u rightly said??
If it's the latter, then im afraid to tell u that there is no need to worry, because i can cautiously speculate that from what i have seen and read on this forum and personal experence, that it seems different VOs may handle upfront medicals in two ways.

Some VOs may review all your documents before they update your medical status to passed (meaning there is little time between medical update and final decision)or in some case no update at all prior to final decision( this may be a refusal)whilst others may immediately update ur medical status to passed even without reviewing your document at the time of the update.

You are not alone on this if i rightly understood u. smiley smiley

firstly I already paid half of the fees but I'm just gonna complete it

Secondly, must it be a dom account? So if you no get dom u no go study for Canada?

good.. grin grin

It must not necessary be a dom account once you can convince the VO that the fund is readily available to you via the possible options given to you in the letter . I mentioned dom because u mentioned it your post.

in my own opinion I think all CIC is trying to do is to make sure that 1)The cash is available 2)The cash will be exported when needed without using CBN policy as excuse

So I think the dorm account and a written Refrence from your bank will do but most schools might soon start adjusting there rules because it's clear that the schools conform to CIC rules before they can get a DLI to host international students... When there is a clash between school rules and CIC rules then CIC rules overrides

Congrat bro/sis on your Medial/Evidence of Fees Payment request as you get closer to your TRV approval ''God willing''. I will admonish u to try and pay part of fees(at least first semester or first year fees) if you have the means to do so, in addition to showing a dom account if that's how u intend to respond to this request.

which university did u apply to, but dere some schools dat does not accept tuition fees, until u arrival d school, like Manitoba university, Brandon university, PEI etc, so in dat case I guess having a dom account surface all issue., so sending dem a dom account statement will b okk.

Manitoba accepts fees from international students prior to arrival ''if Immigration Refugee and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) requires students to forward funds to cover their first year of tuition and school fees (and possibly living expenses) prior to registration''. The amount will be deposited in the student account and a receipt will be ''processed and e-mailed to your e-mail account referenced in your Aurora Student account. If an original receipt is required it can be mailed to you upon request''.

AYMONI:

Thanks at CarpriconPratt. I got this mail frm Canadian embassy accra Ghana yesterday. Please, Someone should help me analyze it.

Dear ...............,

I have reviewed your application and documents you submitted in its support. Subsection 11(1) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act provides that a foreign national must, before entering Canada, apply to an officer for a visa or any other document required by the Regulations. The visa or document shall be issued if, following an examination, the officer is satisfied that the foreign national is not inadmissible and meets the requirements of this Act.

I have concerns that you have not fulfilled the requirement put upon you by section 16(1) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act, which states:

16(1) A person who makes an application must answer truthfully all questions put to them for the purpose of the examination and must produce a visa and all relevant evidence and documents that the officer reasonably requires.

In the current application package, you submitted a bank statement purportedly issued by Skye Bank that has been determined to be fraudulent.

Please note that if it is found that you have engaged in misrepresentation in submitting your application, you may be found to be inadmissible under section 40(1)(a) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act. A finding of such inadmissibility would render you inadmissible to Canada for a period of five years according to section 40(2)(a):

40(1) A permanent resident or a foreign national is inadmissible for misrepresentation (a) for directly or indirectly misrepresenting or withholding material facts relating to a relevant matter that induces or could induce an error in the administration of this Act

40(2) The following provisions govern subsection (1): (a) the permanent resident or the foreign national continues to be inadmissible for misrepresentation for a period of five years following, in the case of a determination outside Canada, a final determination of inadmissibility under subsection (1) or, in the case of determination in Canada, the date the removal order is enforced.

I would like to give you an opportunity to respond to this information. I will afford you fifteen (15) days from the date of this letter to make any representations in this regard. Please use the address noted on this letter for all correspondence, and clearly indicate your file number. If you do not respond to this request within the time outlined above, your application will be assessed based on the information available, which will likely result in a refusal.

Please clear your name from the above post...... i believe this should not be an issue if you didnt submit a fraudulent bank statement as raised by the VO. Now you ve been given the opportunity to proof that and now the onus is on u proof that by reproducing the same statement of account from Skype Bank as at the date of submission (just as u submitted it). If possible, get an introductory letter from the bank as well.

my little ''pesewa'' on matter. Goodluck

Not four months bro.....it's six months according to lagos visa office instructions. Understandably, on the cic website it's four months. However, if you'd ask me I'd go with the lagos visa office instructions since they deal with Nigerian applications.

this issue shd not generate any controversy bro..!! in any case where there is a conflict between CIC and vfs lagos office i believe CIC will overrirde vfs information as the former will override the latter. But i dont think there is a conflict in this case. It's an issue of ellaboration. 4months is the minimum requirement and therefore an applicant may choose to reasonably go beyond the minimum requirement by submitting 7 months bank statements.

A different example may be CIC stating 10,000cad as annual living expenses(minimum) but an applicant may reasonable choose to declare more (eg.13000cad or more) as his/her living expense depending on financial muscle.
