He probably wasn't crying because of the money or that single event. Who knows if he just got to his wits ends at that particular moment. Sometimes it take a lot of energy to not lash out. Such repressed emotions could result in tears. He prolly would have done something a long time ago that would be seen as battering his nursing wife or his visiting mother in law.

Nigerian marriages need less mother- in-law drama and spouses who can't put their mothers in place instead allowing them wreck havoc in their marriage
You got the picture.
Some suppose mature posters here thinks the man was wailing like a baby but u and I knows the cry of a adult man is shedding of tears.

The man was shedding tears, and I saw the torrent of tears gushing down his cheek like an open dam. Amidst tears he was shouting: "I swear to God almighty, I will kill this woman and go to jail. "did she born Jesus" what sort of nonsense is this" this woman is determined to kill me" marriage that is not even past a year etc

He said those in Igbo but I get to interpret it here

Pathetic!

So because the woman, went and forcefully took extra 35k without the man's consent, that is why the man was "crying bitterly" or were you, OP, exaggerating. The man is a weakling, the reason why the wife saw it that the husband will not do anything, but to cry and after wards call father in law, who will pick up bill, Odiegwu.

At your question, definitely I will not call anybody, if it is to happen to me, it is either I leave the money and pretend that it did not happen or I will collect the money back from her, garnished with a very serious warning not to pull that stunt again....I will go for the later, because ignoring her, will embolden her to snatch more. Bottom line, it is dependent on the level of respect the man has been able to build in his wife, because if the woman had an iota of respect for the husband, she, would have at least called the man, telling him that she is taking the money whether he agrees or not.
The man left 20k for upkeep before he travelled and in less than 4 days madam had forcefully collected 35k making it 55k.
Marriage that is barely a year.

If you deduct that amount from the guys business in such manner, will he be able to support his home in the future?

Pray you don't come across a Bad woman, you may even consider suicide not crying

Why woulda negro cry over 35k in a public transit? Sounds like a made up story. What do you want an opinion on? The p**sy reporting to his inlaw or his thug of a wife? And op, you're nosy, learn to mind your business.
What do you understand by the word 'nosey' or you just brandish it to expose your immaturity?

Maybe you expect the wife to run down his trading business because he is the only one that ever got a wife and kid.

Only a wussie of a "man" would cry so openly and unashamedly in public.

And then to yap about his marital issues? Abeg this your tori get as e be, jare.
I don't know what the man must have been passing through in the hands of his wife but his emotions that day is a reflection of his situation.

I'd not made up this story. I swear it happened.
FamilyMarried Guys, How Would You Handle This. by AlienSPY(op):
This is a TRUE life story.

I was in a commuter bus returning home from a journey that took me to Enugu when suddenly one of my co-passenger burst out crying after receiving a call. This young handsome man in his mid 30s wept bitterly cursing and throwing tantrums after receiving this mysterious call before I summoned the courage to inquire what's wrong with him.

Amidst tears, he narrated his ordeal: "I left for my hometown in Udi for a burial 4 days ago and dropped 20k for my nursing wife who just put to bed barely a week. As soon as I had left for this journey, my wife went to my shop and ordered my boys to release additional 15k to her. My boys protested but she made her way to the drawer and took the money. Just now my boys called me that she went back to the shop and took another 20k, even tore all their sales entry where they record sales and she is just leaving my shop now. I called her yesterday and question her why she should go for another money and she said it is for the baby....that she need to take proper care of her child. Further calling her to discuss the matter she refused picking my calls. The worst is that HER MOTHER is right there with her. ***More tears freely dropped from the guy eye***

In that confusion, he dialled his Father in law and reported the incident. Father inlaw sympathise with him and promise to call him back immediately. Twenty minutes into the journey, his father inlaw call back and they discussed a while. Immediately, the young man moody face lighten up and he announced to us his co-travellers: "My father in law said he believe his wife is instigating the daughter to BAD behaviour and that he has ordered her back to his house or her parent's house if she fails to respond immediately. According to him, the father inlaw promise to refund whatever amount his wife and daughter collected without his consent.

Guys, how would you have handled this if you were in the young man shoe?

Bro...these women forgot that they are earthly beings while we are heavenly beings.

God, Jesus, Gabriel, Michael, and the men that flew into heaven Elijah and elisha are all male. No biblical record explained a female ever inhabiting heaven.

Remember God created MAN in his own image and BREATHED into us...I mean heavenly breathing. Did our females get that exclusive if not losing a few bones to them?

From biblical perspective, gender equality is a devil tool

FamilyRe: Complication Behind Bride Price In Nigeria by AlienSPY: 11:45pm On Nov 10, 2014
Bride price is but almost non existence in several part of southern Nigeria particularly igboland. Family of the bride do usually take a pinch from it and returned back whatever the intending groom must have deposited. In this circumstances, It culturally ideal and traditionally demanding that a PREMIUM be placed on a bride to make her appear demanding, treasured with substantial value. Whatever we do in life, we work hard for it.

In traditional Africa, a man seek for a wife and this custom had been with our forefathers before our generation. Paying bride price signify the importance of your ability to support and maintain your wife. African societies still believe that a Man owns a home, his wife and the children within his household therefore for a man to marry, he has to satisfy certain obligations towards his inlaw before their daughter is handed to him to begin his own family unit. In present igboland, when a lady is given out in marriage, she is considered the property of the husband hence not encouraged to return home whatever the situation. It doesn't make sense for a man to 'give' out his daughter he trained and natured for years to a stranger as gift. A stipend should commensurate his effort and I think this is non negotiable atleast in this part of the world.

African societies believe that a child, particularly the girl child belongs to the society/ community and not just the parent alone. So its in place they are invited to partake in giving out of one of their own in marriage. A lot of guys make the mistakes of organising elaborate traditional marriage after 'settling' the kins men with their demands. You can gather them on the day you prefer, settle them their demands and feed them if you like.

Though my criticisms lies in the changing/ upgrading of the lists from what it use to be. Whatever it takes during our forefathers should be continued to give it that cultural feels. Nowadays list are rip off and utterly shameful.

"Feminists do your job and stop littering the internet with your diatribe, without actually doing anything to support your movement in the real world. Young women are still being sold to the most attractive pockets, and y'all choose to stay on the internet spitting nonsense."

Nigga, you are a fool for insulting feminists for no reason. If you weren't such a fool, you wouldn't dismiss the influence/power of the internet.

"You must be ovulating - either that or my post speaks directly to your pseudo-feministic and phoney persona."

Another reason why you're a fool. Let your 'mouth' take over from your a*ss, you're spewing too much trash.

"We" as in feminists, fool.
What we have been able to achieve, the Domestic Violence Law of Lagos State (2007), Gender Based Violation Law of Ekiti State (2011).

Some organizations are Network for Pan-Afri** solida****, CAI*
Unfortunately men are creating and enforcing this laws to accommodate the ranting and nagging of women. A time will come our women will become unmanageable occasioned by this gender equality nonsense/ feminist creed, we will shove those laws and introduce a law that will permanently keep them in the KITCHEN.

I just know the western world are only but experimenting on this 'organised holocaust' called gender equality.

If your sister is not complaining, who are you to revolt in another man business?

Better go and apologise for hitting him. You are violent yourself for hitting him. What difference does it make?

Next time call in the law enforcement agents and get him sign undertaking.

This method usually works wonders.

I have never heard of any man given this treatment who doesn't immediately get cured

So the affected person should try this first. If it does not work, please take a temporary hike.
Don't you think its a sick idea for a woman to invite her siblings to beat up the husband?

That action will naturally set the precedent for divorce and an unhappy relation. Remember marriage in Africa involve both families and the hatred that will ensue afterwards amongst them will be unprecedented.

The best bet a wife sibling can do is to shout, warn, threaten or possibly take away her sister with him but resorting to fight me is fooolishness.
FamilyRe: Can A Physically Abusive Person Change? by AlienSPY: 8:21am On Nov 10, 2014
Give an abuser a bible and a little education on emotional intelligence and you change the person.

An abused person should see the abuser as a weak person that needs help but not to fuel the ember of violence.

Finally temporary separation is the antidote for emotional dysfunction.

I look at my dad the other day. A man well into his 60s rocking his afro with little or no grey and here is his first son greying quickly and all over in his 30s. I wondered, checked his lineage and discovered the grow grey at very old age...70s and above. Their hair texture is very soft no wonder he still adorn afro.

I scan toward my mother side...lo and behold this is where I got it. Very stubborn hair texture plus they grey much earlier in their late 20s. Few years ago I use to pull it off but of recent it has overwhelmed me.
