I have been a silent follower of this amazing thread and I really learnt a lot from you guys.

My visa interview actually held on 4th June (6:45am) at the Lagos consulate, my application was on AP afterwards and the feeling has not been nice at all …but I thank God it came out successful as my online status changed to ISSUED yesterday.

I thank those that contributed to this huge success, for the mock interviews and words of encouragement. Special thanks to my hubby for introducing me to NL (He is also an active member) and for his immense support, u r my real G!

I was interviewed by a white Lady (Window 6), her questions were quite brief and I was actually relaxed chatting with her until she came up with the AP stuff at the end of the interview.

ME: Good morning Ma'am

VO: replied…your passport please, and then your i20. Typing seriously!

ME: I forwarded them to her, dropped my envelope and leaned towards her.

VO: where are you going to in the US?

ME: I’m going to Clark University Worcester Massachusetts to study…. (VO cuts in)

VO: Ok….what are you going there to do?

ME: I’m going to study International Public Health for a period of 2 years.


My excitement was out of this world when I tracked my status and saw ISSUED yesterday. I am really grateful to God cos the thought of starting all over again is killing. This AP be like person wey go market to buy things but came back with neither the money or things he went to buy.

I have been working in this company since late 2014. Initially we were three in the department, later the head of department was sacked, remaining two of us and the company didn't bring any replacement for the head.

Early last year my other colleague got another job and left too leaving only me as the sole staff in the department (IT department). Since then I've been the only person running the department, mind you the company is opening more branches and expanding.

Around December last year when the workload was too much I requested for another hands and the company promised to get me ASAP and even posted the job advert on the dailies but they didn't do any recruitment (upon the fact that many people applied).

Now I got a better job in a multinational and I dropped my resignation letter giving them a month notice but the company refused to accept my letter saying I cannot leave as there is nobody to take over from me. They have recruited people now but the people gave them a month before they can resume and I cannot wait because if I do I will lose my new place, all the information of the company IT wise is in my palm as the company run solely on IT for daily transactions.

Please I need professional advice on this because I am supposed to resume at my new place this coming April.

Any form of advice will do. Help a brother!

You can send me a pm for the details ...I told him i will pay ..in the ID i sent to him it's stated that I'm a student ...and i told him I will reach my parent to send him the money . I thought he was actually gonna tell me to pay the money to him first...but out of haste i wasn't able to be cleared with him that he's gonna pay all the money ...i was more than surprised when he said he has paid it all I was like wow...the reason why he came here announcing that was because i didn't pay him instantly which i told him the reason for that but still he is not listening to me out all...
