John pay ₦896k as tax

Now:
Only ₦200k removed (20% of his rent)
Dem tax am on ₦5.8 million
John pay ₦834k as tax
John now pays ₦62k less tax — small gain!

Now na only your rent dem go use help you reduce tax — and only ₦500k max.
So, if you dey rent house and earn small, you go smile small.
But if you earn big or get your own house — wahala for you o 😅
