dayokanu: Yorubas in Imo go ahead and deport them and let Yorubas too deport Imolites in Yoruba stateswell put |
Edwin Clark is a leader in the ND and yet hate Igbos. WHY ? |
PointB: Lagos should try secession if they are tired of being in Nigeria. Even that will not guarantee an Igbo free country for them. Basically anyone who is tired of seeing Igbos in Lagos State, including you, should take rat poison or jump in front of the Lagos-Kano train! Like we care!Lagos is NEVER seceding without other yoruba states including Itsekiris get that. Whether we are tired or not is not the issue, the issue is how far can you push their tolerance ? Who really cares about the little baby rat ? but the issue starts when the rat is fully grown and it's appetite grows and start proving he is more worthy than the owner of the house. What does the owner do ? Try and eliminate it anyway possible either by using what the rat loves the most (food) to set a trap or simply crush it (anger the people). The choice is yours If you ask me, the best choice would be to try and avoid the owner of the house feel your presence in his house. |
kettykin: Why are they beginning to panic now that the clouds are beginning to gather ![]() My friend, let me be honest with you and this IS THE REAL TRUTH. Lagosians are not panicking. Lagosians are tired of igbos constituting as nuisance in our state Lagosians are at their happiest during Christmas and new year when you all go to your villages Lagosians have no problem with others especially Calabar people but have a lot with Igbos. That is the truth from an indigene of Lagos. If you think I am lying push this Ladipo issue further and watch what will happen. ![]() |
so ![]() ?/ |
baseless assumptions. What is the height ? |
pandriod: The only reason why I like Fashola is because all the people that hates him are ibos.LOL ![]() |
Cathybrown: among d yorubas nd igbos, who are constituting nuisance. think well before u talkThe igbos as far as Lagos is concerned I am a Lagosian and can see this. Visit Ladipo before you talk. Majority of Nairalanders don't think before posting. Ask your relative uncle Obi and co to tell you |
babyosisi: So Ndi Yoruba will fight to be the chief agboro of market kwawhy are you insulting him ? Is it his fault that Igbos want to trade in Lagos |
Did you say 18th century? shyytt! Its on record that the Igbos had been living in Lagos since the 13th century. When the Aworis arrived in Lagos, an Eze was the Chief of the land. Get your history right....13th, not 18th century.
![]() |
Katsumoto: You said it is not possible for the Aworis to drive out other Yorubas from Lagos because the governor and Oba are Awori thereby implicitly accepting the ridiculous notion that Aworis are not Yoruba. All you had to state was that Aworis are Yoruba like other Yoruba sub-groups.Oh I see and correction accepted. Thanks Yes we are yorubas |
It is just very unfortunate that Igbos can't live and relate well with others. Very sad ndigbo |
Katsumoto: You really do give yourself away sometimes. Are the Awori not Yoruba? Did they not migrate from Ife like other Yoruba groups? As the Awori settled on the Island, so did the Ekiti who settled at Ojora, Iddo, Ebute Metta and Ijebu who settled at Ikorodu. How ? My post did not suggest otherwise. I am one myself so how have I given myself away ? I have never said otherwise and I am yet to meet any aworiman that has said otherwise. We are yorubas born and bred and cannot claim anyother. ![]() |
macjive01: Sizable population of persons of IGBO/IGBOID heritage has been in Lagos since the 18th century , we are in 21 century, what does that give u ? macjive01: your laws doesn't supersedes the laws of the country. eat ur hearts out.Maybe yes, maybe not but we shall see, ain't we ![]() Although that ezendigbo thing is a good suggestion don't you think ? |
Your house has an omo onile! He probably has not visited you yet, when he does you should understand that everything in Yorubaland has an heirarchy.
true |
0monnakoda: that is our law in lagoswell said. There is nothing more to add. If you do not like the law, then go back to your village. This has been rang to your ears over and over again |
macjive01: In fact since the yorubas have brought tribalism into the market affairs , vis-a-vis tradition. fine and good.sure I agree with you. I see nothing wrong in that Why are you hyper ventilating |
macjive01: YOU DO NOT OWN LAGOS.!!! GET THAT INTO UR SKULL. they also have been there for millennia |
emmalexabl: And i wont be surprised if the Aworis drove ur likes(yorubas) out of lagos even before the igbos..it is not possible as our current governor and Oba are Awori as well. . BTW Awori in it's real sense does not exist when non-indigene are being talked about. ![]() |
Ngwakwe: Must you change user name to comment?change ? Afam no be mod again, make him check now. As for the topic, Babaloja is a traditional title meant for Indegenes of the state. We respect our tradition and no emeka or uche can be call Babaloja so long as tradition still stands. I cannot be call Igwe is Onitsha or can I ? Moreover, the more you people drag this ladipo issue, the more you shot yourselves on the foot. If the place is no longer conducive for trading then go back to the east. Alj Oki is a Lagosian and Mushin born so no igbo have any right to tell him what he should do or not |
Also at the protest was the royal father of the market, Chief Michael Nwosu who also said: “ 99 percent of marketers in Ladipo are Igbo. To be fair to all, he should come and contest if elected he will be accepted.Igbo and their tribalism, Well you have met your march. Lagosians are ready ![]() |
Ola Johnson: It is selfishness and self centeredness that makes you conclude that the way the Igbo are treated in the north should be the way they should be treated in Lagos.gbammmmmmm |
kettykin: Right from time was Lagos ever Yoruba Land, did yoruba build Lagos, was there any time in the history of Lagos that Lagos was ever known as yoruba land, is Eko a yoruba word , Oshodi , akpongbon ,lekki, yoruba words. What investments or heritage do yorubas have in LagosYes Lagos is aka Eko is a yoruba word, Lekki, Oshodi etc are all yoruba words. Just so we clarify. kettykin: I repeat if Igbos are pushed out of Lagos , Niger Delta will be too hot for yorubas, Igbos will use their numerical strength everywhere they are to make life miserable for yorubas where ever they may be found on earth, be it in River State or Asaba, Eket, the Xenophobic war would be fought to a logical conclusion while other parts of the country will remain neutral and watch from the side lines. hahahaha. Niger-delta that still killed igbos enmass this year. from benin city to warri |
ALTRUTH: We are nt ur enemies. U want Fashola to send me away too? Why na? Forget all dis bigotry here, if u get to meet me u wont even want me to leave u again. ![]() |
Desola: They grate on me so much and keep infiltrating my land all in the name of one niforkingeria! Loudmouthed and Ill wishing enemies.Yeah at times I wish the same but at the end of the day, tolerance is all that matters. Actually some of us have family members that are Igbos so what do we do ? (Although they know their place in terms of the discussion here). |
plaindealer: You are free to state your personal opinion, but it's cowardly to rope into your flawed opinion other people's name. You are nobody's spokesman so speak for yourself only... so are likes of eko ile and co. You cannot try to paint a picture here whereas it is a lie. You make it seem like Yorubas hate Igbos and that is false which you know. |
Desola: Sorry but I try not to fraternise with people from your part of the nigerwhy ![]() |
berem: so all the yorubas threatening fire and brimstones on igbos on this forum are not lagosians? o ma ga fun awon eyan! some are like desola. Likes of Samesir, Isale gan, 9ja something, Symex and co are lagosians too. In reality NL is just a joke We just hurt each other for some reason I don't even know ![]() |
sincerenigerian: I wouldn't blame the guy for refusing to the amputation. I was exactly like that when the doctors made the decision to amputate my wife's leg on Chrismas day of 2010. I refused to accept it because I could not imagine something of that magnitude happening to my wife, but as I was crying and wailing, my wife said they should go ahead and amputate the leg. Our kids were 2 and 3 years old then and we just started to enjoy our lives. But doctors said she was likely to die within days because blood was not flowing through the veins in the leg. Her blood began to cloth in various parts of the body. She was put on blood thinner for some time and up till this day she is still on high dose of blood thinner.this is just a phase my brother all is well. God is in control, please pray and fast. I really do admire your strength |
Eko ile or iragbeji ile does not and will never speak for lagosians. Even his boss Tinubu is not a Lagosian Lagosians and yorubas in general are not tribalistic. We lagosians love Igbos and other Nigerians without being bias. Now let me some statements here 1. There are true indigenes of Lagos state and we are still Alive in number. In fact 50-60% of yorubas you see in Lagos are true Lagosians (undiluted blood) and I am one of them and we have them here on Nairaland as well. 2. Lagos is a yoruba state which is under Nigeria thus the culture and setting of the state is yoruba. Egun, Awori, Ijebu and Egbas are yorubas. I am half Awori and Egun myself and my name is yoruba, I speak yoruba, I dress Yoruba and I would always be associated with yoruba. Not only myself but the whole state. 3. This does not mean there is any discrimination against non-indigenes such as the Igbos. It is wrong and that is not what Fashola is trying to do. Fashola has nothing against Igbos 4. Lagos is not operating as a different country so there is no citizenship so to put it. Everyone can trace their root back to their village. What I mean is that even if you are the third generation lagosian, it does not make you an indigene. You can and will be sent packing once this country split unless the traditional laws are changed. With all that said, we are all brothers so lets enjoy this country while it last. ![]() |
ACM10: Get well soon Dr Eziachi. I thank God that you took the right decision to amputate the dead limb. Our family friend had a road traffic accident 4 days ago and sustained a deep laceration at the groin to the extent that it affected the major blood vessel to the leg. Delays made it impossible for vascular surgeon to intervene at appropriate time. The limb was gone after twelve hours. He refused the medical advice of the orthopaedic surgeon to amputate the limb. Requested for discharge against medical advice. Ordered for the tourniquet at the groin to be removed. This is serious but I don't blame the man. Trust me if you were in his shoes, you might have done the same |
4 Play: I'm surprised Eziachi is a mature man as I used to presume that the tribal warriors on here are bored and idle teenagers or duogenerians. Get well soon and hope to see you back championing more worthy causes than ethnic division. He was never a "tribal warrior" follow some his post on this site, you will observe that he has a deep sense of understand about politics in Nigeria. |
