quid: Go to Bayelsa, Rivers etc and see many Yorubas working in the oil companies there without disturbance.
So, one Nigeria allows them to work there and make plenty of money.
But one Nigeria does not allow non-Yorubas to live and work in Lagos. Story
Go to Ondo, Edo, Lagos, Ogun and delta see how many other ethnic groups are working in oil companies without disturbance.

Oyo and co still have other ethnic groups working as well

So because Igbos were sent packing it means non-yorubas ?

Moreover ask your relative in Lagos whether he has been disturbed just because he is Igbo

quid: Yorubas should lead by example and quit living off the oil of the Niger Deltans,.
How are yorubas living off Niger deltan OIL. You must be very stu.pid for that statement. BTW is Ondo, Delta and Edo no longer Niger-delta ?

So long as Ilaje, Akoko, Itsekiri, Usan and co are found there then it must be dumb of you to say such

PoliticsAwori Lagosian Prince Speaks On Deportation by aljharem(op): 10:35pm On Aug 10, 2013
Veteran Nollywood actor, Jide KosokoThe Kosoko family are true Lagosians, on Thursday said there was nothing wrong with the alleged deportation of the destitute to their home state by the Lagos State Government.

Kosoko, a Lagos prince, stated that the government deported people who constituted a nuisance in the state to their hometowns because the metropolis was becoming over populated.

He said, “I disagree with the people criticising the deportation. There are reasons for everything. Since there have been negotiations between Lagos and the state concerned and the government believes their home state would take better care of them, I think the action was appropriate.”

Kosoko said even though Nigerians were free to live anywhere in the country, people should not abuse the privilege by becoming a nuisance.LOL grin grin grin

We don’t need to shy away from the fact that Lagos is over-populated because of its commercial advantage. Anybody doing a legitimate work here is entitled to stay but a situation where they are turning themselves to a nuisance in the state and they would go as far as inviting others to come is not acceptable,” the actor stated.

He said when the okada business began, it started with skilled riders until some people took advantage of the business idea and started creating problems.

He stated that there were actually states with worse laws than Lagos, where people got their arms cut off because of crimes and such people saw Lagos as a place for greener pastures.

He noted that with the Lagos State government’s policy, the roads are safer.

Kosoko said that the action should not be restricted to Lagos.

“Let’s not deceive ourselves, look at the highways, are they not better? I am not speaking for the government but for myself. To me, whoever constitutes a nuisance in any state, not just Lagos, let them be sent back home.

It is very unfortunate that we are in a multi-ethnic country; that is the major problem we are having. We find it difficult to say the truth,” he said.

Nwa Teacher: Fashiola must apologise or we deport him to his ancestral home in Ekiti State. We must tell him were all immigrants in Lagos State despite he denied burying his father in Ekiti State because he wants to claim Lagos Indegene
My friend no apology will be made and it is fashola's grand father that is from Ekiti but have naturalised with we indigenes because

1. He speaks Yoruba
2. Lagos is a yoruba state
3. Aworis have accepted him and call him Awori (Eko) as well

So do your worse

ILIDEFI: Keep defending Fashola. FYI, d list Fashola sent to Anambra state office containing 14 fabricated names did not tally with d names of any of the 72 ppl he deported. Most of d ppl he deported are not destitutes and lunatics. Dey had petty jobs and businesses. Why is it dat Yorubas have refused to b objective over dis Fashola issue? Why do Yorubas keep defending their ppl even wen dey are wrong? You ppl are terrible.
I'm not supporting d act of Rivers state govt though.
Abeg go siddon. Tribalist

You prefer to castigate fashola more cos he is Yoruba.

Otseh: @ samunique, are destitudes not nigerians? don't they have right to live in any part of the country? what the governors shld do is to rehabilitate them not send them away. they are in those places because they can not help themselves, so govt shld help them.
after rehabilitation what next ? Shouldn't be for them to reunite with their family ?

Which was what Lagos state did compared to others
PoliticsRe: Rivers Sends Its Destitute To Home States, Plans Another by aljharem(m): 10:34am On Aug 06, 2013
shollaire: There's a limitation to freedom of movement. The exercise is only for non-indigene destitute who head to another state without any form of livelihood not non-indigene who have business to be in those state. Come to think of it, if all beggars in Nig. were to converge in p/court,lagos,abuja only, what else ll they constitute if not nuisance? But if every state share in the rehab of this destitute instead of pushing the responsibility on 3 states only, am much sure there ll be no more beggars on our streets.
Thank you

This people ar nigeria citizens and not ghanians. So y treat dem like refugees. We ar all under one nation nigera, u ar talking as if anambra or lagos is a nation of it's own......if u say d action is cool....no problem...cogratulation for being a good nigerian
No Nigerian is treated like a refugee. If Lagos was getting the same allocation as anambra, that is a different case. it is robbing from peter and giving to Paul

So because he is not, he should support the roaming about of lunatics and destitute ?

God-forbid but if he becomes one, he will prefer to send him to his family to be taken care of rather than leave him on the streets

Promhize: When did we start knowing the govt to be truthful, huh?
Well sorry 4 calling u dimwit, but whatever case Fashola shouldn't have done what he did.
He commands respect and he's already influencing this other dumb governors
Apologise accepted my brother. Fashola did not start the move. It started from Abuja then abia before Lagos state even provided them with an accommodation and food. Lets not get sentimental here, no one is harassing anyone but destitution SHOULD NOT BE ENCOURAGED. We as citizens of Nigeria should help these destitutes who maybe hiding from their family because of shame and all. Leaving them like that will only increase crime
