Nigeria a joke of a country

the enemy of a yoruba man is Igbo

the enemy of an Igbo man is hausa

the enemy of hausa is yoruba

and the cycle of fun continues

The Igbos are quick to point out yorubas in everything, they did it before independence they are still doing it now

the hausa is quick to kill igbos whenever they start their arrogant slurs

the yoruba is quick to kill hausa whenever they feel threaten.

One thing is common bothe hausa and Igbo are quick to call a yoruba man tribalistic

both Igbo and yoruba are quick to call hausa uneducated/almajiri

both hausa and yoruba are quick to call igbo arrogant/criminals and selfish

What a funny country, While the ijaws does not want anything to with the Igbo and yoruba, they want to their resources which is a valid reason.  the only issue is they need to expand their land and it is conflicting with others

hmmmmm

it shocks me atimes how hausa/fulani will keep silent in NL and only to get defence from our yoruba neighbours.
what concern yoruba in this writeup. yea you can reply any topic as a nigeria but guide your word.

Awka are bold to say what other frown at,as not to fall into hausa/fulani gun powder target list.

its time to say enough is enough. untill we unite here in the south nothing will change. this pple today another tomorrow.
Again you Igbos are the most tribalistic people I have ever met

Which one is Hausa/fulani and yoruba again. We have 2 terrorist groups that have killed thousands of people you call calling ethnicity as if that would solve the Nigeria problem.

The way you Igbos reason especially on Nairaland make me wonder how they are tolerated. It is indeed amazing

Mend Bombed and killed 60 people all in one day which was the Nations independence and you are here talking trash. Must they Kill Igbo before you know that a terrorist group be it hausa or yoruba or ijaw is bad for Nigeria

Maybe next time OPC should bomb Alaba and you here that 12 igbo died then you would see reason why Terrorisim is not good even if they are from your ethnicity.

Pure Trash.

Every group that decides to kill innocent people just for the quest of power and not defence is a terrorist group and MEND and Boko haram fall into the category

We have ideeiots in Nigeria I no go lie

Any Yoruba that tries to convince anyone here is an omo ale and does not represent the yorubas. Thanks

There is no point in dividing and we have another Nigeria in our individual republic. Once that is established then carry on.

Again any yoruba that tries to convince anyone is an Omo ale.
CultureRe: Myth or Reality: Yoruba is closer to the Edos culturally than the East is. by aljharem(m): 9:44am On Feb 06, 2012
Nigeria would ONLY be divided into 3 COUNTRIES. People need to start getting that into their heads

All this middle belt and South-south rubbish is just funny. It shows people don't understand WHY Nigeria was made a country at the first place

Nigeria was made to colonise other ethnic groups. In the geographical space of Nigeria, we CANNOT have 250 countries

The hausa have done a very good job in colonising hundreds

The yorubas have done a good job in colonising a few tenths as well

The Igbos are just colonising and it so happen that people eyes have opened although colonised a few as well

Now someone telling me about 5-250 countries in Nigeria is a complete Joke.

The sooner una join Biafra as you wish the better it is for everyone.
So from edo.girl's two posts earlier on this thread:

She mentioned that they might see themselves as closer to someone from Asaba. But not someone from Owerri.

And she explicitly denied the possibility of any interest in any political alliances with Igbos. Yet claims that they would not be opposed to looking West.

And your conclusion after reading these two posts is that Edo is closer to Igbo than Yoruba?

And I am the one misreading posts, or selectively reading?

How much more do you want someone to deny you than to say her people want to have nothing to do with yours?  cheesy cheesy cheesy
No no no, edo people have a right to self determination.

I have relatives who are Bini and I know what I am talking about, Initially I did not talk this thread seriously because I though it was jokes until that ideeiotic Papabrown that cannot even speak Edo came to this thread and saying rubbish.

People are working so hard to claim partnership with the Binis. I never knew we were that loved!!

Anyways, this is my opinion.
Both Igbos, Yorubas and lots of other tribes have similarities with the EDOs for the simple fact that historically the influence of the Bini Kingdom spread across board all the way from Onitsha through the whole of Yoruba land down to Dahomey(today known as Benin Republic) and even Ghana.
The argument is baseless. It is like America and Australia arguing over who is closer to the British

There has been a lot of back and forth on this thread that would lead us to no where. The only thing the thread ends up affirming, is the superiority of the Edo Heritage. A very proud heritage at that.

What is important then would be the opinions of Edos on the said question; Where would the Edo's rather lean towards- West or East + South??
Truth be told, Every EDO man would rather be in the same nation with the South East and South South for various reasons and never in the same nation with the South West where they would be in the minority.
The demand for the creation of MID WEST state from the then western region is enough to prove the aspirations of EDO people.

Again, why does everybody want to claim affinity?? I simply don't get it!! How special can the EDO's be??

Before we knew it, Biafran troops were in Benin City and en-route to Lagos. The Republic of Benin was created and it subsequently became the shortest Republic that ever was. Before we knew it, all our Igbo friends and neighbors started saying “Kedu” to us. When you turn around to look at him in surprise, he would say, “Ah, unah, you never begin learn? Na wa. I’m sorry oh.” The big question was: Learn what? Do you mean Igbo is becoming the lingua-franca in “Benin Republic?” Biafran troops were in control and from all practical purposes, the people were being intimidated, etc. Basically, Benin Republic was functionally a colony of Biafra.
