It's not really about having a group in Edo State. It's about the blatant lie that "Edo is our brother" they keep propagating.

I mean, several of the post on here has insinuated such, what's confusing in what I said? embarassed embarassed embarassed It's our fate that we've been unable to contribute to this great failure called Nigeria.
Manny4life my brother why are you talking like this. You know the post here are for Nchara Obiagu and co, again I would only be deceiving myself if I say Igbos have not contributed a lot to this great nation. Is it from Nnamdi to Palm oil etc, I chose not to deceive myself and I would tell the truth. I have always secretly admire the Igbos not to lie and maybe that is why I am always attracted to Igbo topic grin grin grin Not out of envy but out of pride that I have a nation with one of the world greatest people the Igbos.

I am an Awori yoruba man from Lagos and I am telling you this. The only reason I got involved in this thread was because of beaf and co no other also I would not allow Obiagu and others to rubbish my people. That is the plain truth

In Warri under which Itsekiris voted in the referendum, 96% of them said NO to Yoruba but he didn't know that.
you are disconnected from the reality

Yes they did but now they are part of afenifere etc and all other yoruba organisations. What then makes them more yoruba after that

Those names are typical Bini names. They just kinda sound yoruba but they don't mean anything in Yoruba. Can you please tell me what those names mean?

@topic
We have to also understand that edo is the name of a state and not an ethnic group. That state is made up of Igbos, bini, esan etc.
hmmm there are no igbo in edo

Infact Bini (similar to yoruba), Esan, and Afemai(similar to yoruba)

First of all the middle belt's indigenous people are not haussa nor fulani, nor muslims, they have much more in common with the southerners than they do with the northerners, and there are as much southerners in the middle belt as there are northerners, without counting the indigenous. Moreover the link you gave doesn't take in count the oil revenue. So, you need to use your brain.
LOL the thread was "What does the north contribute to Nigeria"

who said anything about hausa or fulani ?

actually it does take into account oil revenue. thanks

These people are not really serious, all this talk about road being constructed from sw to delta is mere politics.it seems its hard for yorubas to realise that they can never lord it over edo and delta again.the itsekiri, esan, bini and other edo tribes will never join sw or odua republic.isnt it obvious that the traditional councils and people of edo, delta will have nothing to do with yoruba politically, the yoruba who wanted to impose their language on delta and edo as far back as the sixties.these people should be more concerned with developing their backward sw state capitals.
but you do not know of the kedu crisis right ?

Who said Igbos are not relevant in Nigeria ? undecided that is not the discussion here. the discussion here is why do some Nairalaners call others parasites ? It is not right and rather than talk to them you chose to be quite.

The Igbos again have contributed massively to Nigeria both locally and internationally.

where do we start from, is it Achebe or Ngozi iweala or Innoson or coschairs or Ibeto or Diamond bank or Nollywood which are all known in the world.

I would only be deceiving myself if I say Igbos have not contributed greatly to the nation. Please tell nairaland igbos to stop calling others parasites. thanks

Yeah, just like I thought, same GIDD database info from early 2008. Do you really think wealth hasn't moved around? I blame Nigerian Bureau of Statistics because they are the cause, they don't have a decent database to retrieve up-to-date information. Anyway, I'm not bothered about such data because, to me, 3year old data can old be used a s sample but not to be used to realistic data. Anyway how, you try.
My brother I know you are good in economics but from the little I know 3 years statistics could be used as a rough estimate of what it is now.

Wealth would have moved around but the difference would not be significant statistically speaking. Some other countires even do it every 10 years when they do the census as well.

thanks smiley
alj harem thanks for your love and respect for Igbos but may I ask you - are you listening? Did you read what Igbos went through in the hands of their fellow country men? If the ans is yes then don't you think Igbos must be fools to really trust this nation with their future. Personally I have taken enough of scapegoating in this nation so it will be a herculean task to convince me at this point that Nigeria is worth Igbos being part of it. We lost a lot and for me to always read and feel the bigotry that goes in both directions and not want out is a lie. Whether Igbo brings anything to the table is immaterial at this point, and for those that "bring their all to the table" I say this to them - save it for yourselves 'cause you need it.

Today we live in a world of rapid technological development and I don't want to be here when a "sicko" unleashes a dirty gas he made in his 12-by-12 lab room because he loves or hates me. We all can do better by ourselves. I used to give regionalism a thought but now Nigeria can shove that too. You don't know what I do and I don't know yours therefore, it would be better we all keep our sanity or insanity to our respective republics.

So alj harem my brother, you now see why its better to part ways now than waste more time. If we waste more time we may smell that lethal gas, if FG cant find people exploding noisy bombs do you think they would be successful locating the invincible? My brother many engineering/physics wizards are tired but still sane, at some point they might lose their sanity.

Again I say this, lets stop beating on each other. Let us rather use the energy we dispense in beating ourselves for solutions/disintegration before we all get infected with insanity.
I agree, there is no point on being on each others neck each time of the day
