Unlike in the north where we're battling with terrorism, millitancy will be well contained in case of a full scale war and innocent citizens will also bear the grunt. Done special ops with the DSS and several of the real militants leaders have been haunted down in serval joint operations.. Undermining the power of a country's security will put you in huge trouble. Bokoharam is like this because there are several things attached to it. bidexiii: TROOPS GIVE ISWAP BLOODY NOSE IN NORTHERN BORNO
In the determined efforts to wipe out remnants of Boko Haram terrorists that now goes by the appellation of Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP), the gallant troops of the newly formed Nigerian Army Special Forces Command (NASFC), Operation LAFIYA DOLE, have given the terrorists that attacked troops location in Baga a bloody nose. The triumphant troops, particularly the highly revered 707 Special Forces Brigade which is the vanguard of the great exploit, dealt the decisive blow that neutralised several terrorists along that axis despite prior warning to them by some unpatriotic elements.
The Special Forces commenced clearance operations on 28th December 2018, where they cleared Zare, Gudumbali, Kukawa and Cross Kauwa without any resistance from suspected terrorists. However, at Cross Kauwa, the unfortunate ISWAP terrorists made a costly mistake of raising their ugly heads. In professional fashion the troops exploited the situation to instantly and decisively neutralise the insurgents and captured some equipment. Though some of the terrorists attempted to infiltrate troops camp at Monguno, the gallant troops lured them and neutralised many of them and recovered some arms and ammunition.
The troops who are in high spirit had since linked up with other forces in Baga where they cleared the Naval Base and the surrounding areas. Unfortunately, in the process, the Special Forces lost one officer and a soldier, while 5 other soldiers sustained injuries. The remains of the two fallen heroes and the wounded have since been evacuated. The injured soldiers are in stable condition and receiving medical attention. The troops are now busy consolidating and clearing vestiges of the terrorists within the northern Borno State axis with special emphasis on the Lake Chad region. The Special Forces attained these great strides in close operational synergy with Air Task Force of the Nigerian Air Force who gave Intelligence and close air support by bombarding the ISWAP terrorists. The outstanding and dare devil exploits of the NAF's pilots gave more courage and fire power to the troops. Similarly, the Nigerian Navy Special Forces were not left out of this gallant efforts.
You are please requested to disseminate this information to the public through your medium. Thank you for your kind cooperation.

jakeporeshenko: I don’t see anything wrong with the formation in Baga, they had MBTs, MRAPs, fun trucks and APCs so that’s both adequate fire power and protection, untop of that there’s a helipad there so we know they got supplies like spare parts, ammunition, food all of that delivered frequently.
So is the problem with NA just plain incompetence or lack of strategy and ability to adapt to the enemy. Zero situation awareness. Lack of consecutive and effective long range patrol. |

Odunayaw: Hope NA is learning. Don't lie about casualties. Respect and Honor those we've lost Not just this. Their PR is very bad. All base that was lost to ISWAP within the last few weeks has been under attack but gallantly repelled by troops over 3-5 times with casualties in ISWAP but none of these made the news. Few minutes after a military base was lost, it's all over the internet. I don't understand how these things work. Most vase also lack LR patrol capabilities. Just clearance/patrol ops around town and nothing strategic. Immediately BHT/ISWAP puts the patrol unit under serious ambush, the base gets disorganized with artillery and yes, they make use of howitzers too. The base are already known by ISWAP terrorist so soldiers are always on defensive position and always expecting an attack. Also heard the Mi-35m got hit by a RPG fire too and not just AA. 145bn is a very busy unit. They've been under several attacks from Gashigar to Damasak. This thing will still continue so something needs to be done. ISWAP has been trying to take control of the town and now we lost an hind there. The aircraft frequents that location so I guess ISWAP got their fire direction well planned. |

Aircraft is a MI-35M. Casualties but can't confirm how many. The fear is night ops will be reduced now as the capability to bring down an aircraft by BHT has to be addressed.
It "probably" won't be an easy night for ground troops for the next few days. This is also a time the terrorist are being strategic. |

prolog2: The soldiers are poorly led and have totally lost confidence in their commanders. That is just one of the problems. Or maybe lack of discipline. That's what I have noticed. The military job Is not meant to be comfortable, you just have to adapt to it. Some of my boys leave their gear in the vehicle because they feel it's extra wahala. I didn't complain till we got back and I made it known to my superior who corrected them. However, apologies to captainstephen. NA boys seems not to have this morale and discipline naturally and feel they can fight like the the enemies with boot, shirt and riffle alone. I have seen several military gear left behind during patrol due to soldiers negligence. I feel the Army brass should enforce strict disciplinary actions towards any soldier in a bad fatigue in public pictures. I haven't been hit before but I am very sure the vest has saved serval lives. I don't even joke with my head gear. |

NAF AND ALLIED AIR FORCES SUPPORT TROOPS TO REPEL TERRORIST ATTACKS IN BAGA
It may be recalled that the Headquarters 7 Brigade Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF) Baga came under attack by members of the Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP) on the evening of 26 December 2018. Upon receipt of the information of the attack, the Air Task Force (ATF) of Operation LAFIYA DOLE immediately dispatched a Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) platform along with 2 Mi-35M Helicopter Gunships to provide support for the troops to repel the attack. The NAF ISR aircraft, which was overhead the troops location as at 7.15pm, also worked closely with a Nigerien Air Force and another allied ISR aircraft that were also in the operation area at the time of the attack. The ISR platforms were in contact with the ground troops and assisted in directing their fire against the terrorists, while the helicopter gunships engaged the terrorists at isolated locations destroying some of their vehicles and neutralizing some fighters.
The ATF also provided support for Nigerian Army (NA) and Nigerian Navy (NN) troops at the Naval Base at Doron Baga, which equally came under attack by ISWAP fighters on the morning of 27 December 2018. The ATF deployed 2 ISR platforms, 2 Helicopter Gunships and 2 Alpha Jet aircraft to provide ISR and close air support to the troops. After establishing communication with the ground troops, the location of the terrorists was ascertained and engaged by the Alpha Jet aircraft. The NAF and allied ISR platforms also spotted 2 ISWAP vehicles heading southwards from Baga and vectored the Alpha Jet aircraft to attack the vehicles, completely destroying one of them and neutralizing the occupants. In order to enhance the quality of coordination between the air and ground operations, the Theatre Commander and Maritime Component Commander were carried onboard the ISR platform during one of the flights. In all, the ATF conducted 20 missions in 21 sorties with a total of about 39 hours flown on 26 and 27 December in support of operations in Baga general area. A short video clip showing highlights of the support provided on 26 and 27 December 2018, along with a Battle Damage Assessment (BDA) video showing parts of the successful attack on the terrorists’ vehicles, is attached.
The NAF appreciates the existing synergy with our gallant surface forces as well as our Regional Allies in adding value to our collective efforts to protect our territory and people.

Am happy to see your msg
Baba, wetin de happen like this It's where I have been for the past few weeks. It was really tactical and again you would think these guys have access to military locations. It started with infiltration by small units which was being repelled by troops. Immediately it got so consistent, there was several chatter On radio from and Intel on consistent attack at several units so everyone had to prepare. They came hard, shifted military attention and rounded us up. Some concentrated on denying us advances while larger numbers moved in on MNJTF troops and the naval base. The fight had no direction and after few hours. We had to start flying flag several tactics to avoid blue on blue on convoy. Picked up several NA guys too. Heard there's casualty at MNJTF but no idea on the naval base. The town still stands but MNJTF was overrunned and now in our hands. Their aim was simple because there was a "very sudden retreat" by those we were engaging. I guess this happened after looting what they wanted. The airforce disengaged several of them too. SF in consistent engagement. Doesn't sound too good everytime. |

What is the kill zone diameter of an ak47 vs the combat rifle the dss carry ?
Infact what is the model the dss carry ?
What is the recoil angle per burst of that rifle vs ak47?
What he typed was total garbage
That rifle is a hundred times better than the ak47 This is not true. Most of the AKs you see are the Chinese variant and there are several types depending on the upgrade. I fire the M762, AK-47 and the Tavor. Whenever I'm on missions far away from the FOB, I'll pick the M762 or AK. Whenever I'm on short duration ops like clearance and patrol, I'll pick the Tavor. |

CaptainStephen: Weapons are plain excuses, the truth without any sugar coating is own forces were lax and performed below expectation. We really need to redeem ourselves. This is a factual truth. No weapon, no weapon and those bloody fools carted away huge ammunitions. I think this has to do with training. Was on a clearance op with my boys which include some army guys and the guys said they wish their ops are being coordinated like this. For over a year been here, my unit never runs from those animals. We have experienced only 4 KIA till now which happened through an ambush on my convoy which lasted for like 5 hours. Number one mission is to survive. I tried my best to save those lives. Their vehicle was stopped by bht bullets leaving them exposed. It was the normal hilux and the bastards focused fire on the vehicle and my guess is they want it to explode. The officers were defenceless as other vehicles are also under fire. We launched RPG at the fire direction since we had no GL. We fired around 11 RPG that day and these guys started coming out , approaching the pinned vehicle with the motive to abduct my boys. I wasn't my self again but the guys were already wounded. They were able to go with around 8 wounded officers and started retreating. I initiated pursuit after talking to the boys to boost their morale. ISR established situation for us and had to leave our area for whatever mission. Gathered information together and went for the bastards which unfortunately led to a WIA as they had some guys stationed in the bush to open fire on us but fortunately, it was a little injury. We were able to retried all our boys and had 18 bht killed 4 KIA and 3WIA in total. |

I don't know much about their training procedure but in terms of ops, the AFSF is a deadly instrument of the MOD. Bokoharam attack on AFSF unit comes massively due to their capability to turn around an ambush as a professional force. There are cases where 17-30 officers have been able to push and hold back hundreds of bokoharam without casualty. It all boils down to professionalism and the will to live. |

Ambazonian separatists have no chance. Done joint ops with them. They're good but of no match to some known units we have such as the SBS. There is something about these guys I enjoy and I still don't understand. Rugged men. Training with elements of the British SAS has made me appreciate the SBS. They are a national asset. They just returned some of their guys for field ops and I see most of them just left her months ago and are back again. Talking to some whom I have been with before, I realized its hard to mass produce them while also maintaining their mandate of having some above naval ships and SS ready deployment. |

The Nigeria military is only powerful when facing unarmed civilians and IPOB. Collateral damage. I have been in an encounter with bokoharam using human shield during our offensive. In most cases, advancing becomes really hard due to the presence of civilians. Mind you, ISWAP /bht have several of our offensive on video ready to embarrass the military with collateral damages. |

The Nigeria military is struggling against militias in the north central and north east, they are struggling against boko haram, they are only able to intimidate the peaceful IPOB, I'm sure if those once start carrying guns, they(Nigerian military) will start crying about not been equipped well and start manoeuvering tactically into Cameroon
Good bye, I will be back again in 2-3 weeks time Usual spill from a civilian who knows nothing about the military bureaucracy. A full scale attack on Nigeria delta militants will have them silenced.
