Spyker: I don't really think that there is any particular age (as in number) that is perfect for a man to get married. Married is for adults and only adults who based on certain conditions listed by fellow nairalanders here is ready for marriage.
I repeat, when he is an ADULT and ready to fulfill the obligation and responsibility that goes with marriage. First of all Spyker, please define "ADULT" , here are some definitions I found: 1. a person who is fully grown or developed or of age , isn't a 30yr old fully grown or developed or of age? 2. a person who has attained the age of maturity as specified by law. isn't 30yr old enough to attain age of maturity as specified by law? ACTUALLY, I don't even know why I'm engaged in this self, see, according to the law of the land , a man is OLD enough to marry at the age of 18! PERIOD! |

Fhemmmy: Cos a man doesnt get a job at 30 doesnt mean he cant get a job at 31, by your statement, seems now like when a man is not able to marry at 30, he is a loser, and i bet to disagree. Let me repeat what i said, You cant nail an age on when a man shd get married, it is an individual thing. Having a job is not the requirements fro marriage, read my first post on this thread well. It is not about age. NOPE! Let me clarify AGAIN , at 30, a MAN IS OLD ENOUGH TO MARRY!!!! A man who doesn't have a job at 30 isn't a Loser! and You don't have to be a winner to be OLD ENOUGH TO MARRY u get me? |
Family › Re: When Is A Man Old Enough To Marry? by Allta(m): 6:19pm On Nov 11, 2009 |
Fhemmmy: There are some men at 50, that dont even ave a job, there are some that still lives and eats Mama's food. These shows, it is not about the age, and it is an individual things and cant be generalized. According to your ideology, having a job is a major requirement to getting MARRIED, shey? How about those who don't "have a job" but have their "own business"? I'm not trying to twist this, my point is this, if a man can't get a job for an entire 30years of his life! Then why does he wanna bother to get one at 50? Why even bother to marry ever? As far as I'm concerned, there should be an age barrier, be it 30 or 50, but I'll stick to 30. At 30, a man is OLD enough to get married, he might not be wealthy enough, he might not even be in employment, BUT HE IS SURELY OLD ENOUGH |

Fhemmmy: How me a nation where all the people at the age of getting a job are all working. You mean to tell me that there are not lots of 35 years of age at our universities, especially a place there are strike every 6 months that lasted for ever, and making a 4 years program being done in 12 years. Tell you are kidding that at age of 30, all what you listed ought to have been achieved? it is nice to have achived all that at age of 30, however, there are so many people that would love to settle down and marry, with degrees and yet to get a job. All i am saying is that, we need to learn not to attach age with all things, cos all we doing is putting pressures on these people for something that aint their fault. Fhemmy, I agree with you, shall we jack up the age limit to 50 then? Are we save to say a man that is not ready by 50 is not fit to marry EVER? |
Family › Re: When Is A Man Old Enough To Marry? by Allta(m): 5:28pm On Nov 11, 2009 |
Fhemmmy: That is why i said, we can nail an age to marriage. there are so many things to think about before we marry and these are things that are not achieved by age. Why can't you achieve these things by age? Ok, let's put it into perspective, How old does a child have to be to walk? How old does a child have to be to be admitted into nursery school? How old does he/she have to be to be admitted into primary school? secondary school? How old before admitted into University? How old to graduate? How old to start a job? Yea! What's the minimum age to start a job in life? How old to retire? How old to die? If you can fit age to most of my questions above, then you can fit age with Marriage too! Marriage is just an event in a life of a man, there is time for everything under the heavens! A time to be born and a time to die! A time to be SINGLE and a time to be MARRIED!!! |

should marry, all cos he is now 30 years of age? Don't misquote me Fhemmmy, let me reiterate: a man who isn't matured phsically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually and financially at the age of 30 is not fit to MARRY EVER! |

princekevo: Pride goes before failure they say. That is why Nigerian players shines like a star in jst 1 or 2yrs and dies like a touchlight afterwards. None of them is playing in any good Club in premiership or Europe now. Even the so called Mikel playing in chelsea is fading out at the age of below 25, while his mates Messi and Co. are at thier peak in football. That is purely not down to Mikel's skill or lack of skill. I think it's down to him being under-utilised because of more experience dudes in Chelski midfield, both attacking wise and defensively. |

Kobojunkie: We don't need to wait for the time when EVERYONE is able to sing KUMBAYA together for to stand up for change. You do not need to wait for the north or the south to start changing things. Look at Fashola. He did not wait for the North or the Federal Government to first get it's act together before he embarked on changing the status quo in Lagos. We need to take an example from that and push for change from right where we find ourselves. So, what we need is a massive ripple effect of small bangs in Naija Politics. This means , 1. people with like minds have to be in strategic positions to cause a change, and also, 2. They have to all put in their individual shifts/quotas to send a massive shock wave through the system. So my question is, how can we achieve 1 and 2? |

bidemi12: If you live in UK, it is common. Very common. Nigerians that live their jobs and come to UK for masters. After masters no job. Post study visa. 2 years after, still no job. Start hide and seek with police. Remain a deluded fellow for years. And the poor relative and friends in Nigeria do not help matters. I have met a lot of nigerians that send money regularly, like, kind of that is what they are meant for. And I was wondering, if they were back in Nigeria will they give their folks £300 - 400 every month? I have concluded that Nigeria and Nigerians are the most complicated fellows in this world. Very complicated.
@Arkinson Why would anyone want to live in the UK or anywhere else for that matter without the correct papers? I hope you know that the above statement does not apply to people who who have the right permits. Reading stuffs like this make me sick! Here is another one: ugonna245: I sometimes wonder why a rational person will sell his earthly belongings all in the name of traveling abroad. And as for youths struggling to travel out by all means I wish them well. But to say that there are no opportunities in Nigeria is a very big lie. The only problem we have in Nigeria is that graduates do not want to dirty their fingers.
Everyone is looking for office jobs and everyone wants to live in LAGOS and work for banks/telecommunication/oil companies. How many can these companies employ?
I have friends who are into farming and they are doing very well and some of them are graduates. Going abroad to become a cleaner/cab driver is not the solution. When will you make it?
As for me I prefer to stay in Nigeria and become a farmer than traveling abroad to become a taxi driver or street cleaner( I see enough of them in Lagos already). I ask, why do Nigerians at home sometimes think all/most Nigerians in the Diaspora do cleaning and cab driver job? Those thoughts and reasoning make me sick! |

lacidi: @Dauchman
Its clear you have decided that you will never accept these things as true, you are only looking for ways to challenge the prophesy.
Now please note that TB Joshua is not a very articulate person, even in his normal preaching.
He said we need 1 goal to lead them. Yes he was correct. We needed 1 goal to beat Mozambique and that is a lead. Maybe you expected him to become a football analyst and explain that well we need to beat Mozambique in order to challenge Tunisia etc. He is not a football expert like you. All he knows is that we 'need 1 goal to lead them' and that statement is not ambiguous.
On the goal, he clearly stated as follows 'that boy will head the goal for us'. That is the most unambiguous statement in the whole prophesy and you still want to say it was not clear? He did not say that boy will score a goal for us, he said HEAD A GOAL!
In the Tunisia prophesy he said they could NOT DECIDE, the two team left the field equal. It ended a draw. If he was not sure why did he then come to the Mozambique prediction and say that we will smile and we will ‘head a goal’.
It is clear you really really want to discredit the whole prophesy thing but the video evidence is just too strong. Uncle Lacidi, I come in peace , I am thinking of playing Euro Lottery tonight, can TBJ tell me the numbers abeg, it will change my life for good o, better for me than Nigeria qualifying for world cup self! |
