Drake purchased Tupac Shakur's self-designed diamond, ruby and gold crown ring at Sotheby's Hip-Hop auction for a staggering $1.01 million.

The 36-year-old five-time Grammy Award winner revealed that he bought the ring previously owned by the late rap icon in an Instagram Story that he shared on Friday.

Drake uploaded a photo in which he was seen showing off the sparkler as he promoted fellow rapper Travis Scott's new album "Utopia."

"UTOPIA out now meltdown," the "Hotline Bling" hitmaker wrote in the caption.

Sotheby's confirmed the sale in a press release, noting that the winning bid for the ring was triple its high estimate of $300,000. According to the auction house, the ring was the "most valuable Hip Hop artifact ever sold at auction" and "the only Hip Hop artifact to surpass $1 million."

Shakur sported the accessory at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sept. 4, 1996, which would become his final public appearance before he was killed in a drive-by shooting nine days later.

The ring was provided to Sotheby's by Shakur's godmother and advisor Yaasmyn Fula, who acted as a liaison between the recording artist and New York jewelers while he was designing the piece.

"This one-of-a-kind, custom ring was meticulously designed by Tupac and is among the final products of his boundless creative energy--a unique artifact from a period of time that is a testament to his enduring influence on both Hip Hop and global contemporary culture," Sotheby’s Global Head of Science & Popular Culture Cassandra Hatton said in a statement to Fox News Digital.

"We’re thrilled that this exceptional piece has entered a new chapter in the hands of another legendary artist."

Featuring a diamond-encrusted gold band, the custom ring is set with a central cabochon ruby and two pavé-cut diamonds on a gold circlet symbolizing the "crown.

The ring is inscribed on the palm-facing side with the words "Pac & Dada 1996," in honor of his fiancee Kidada Jones, to whom he became engaged a few months before his death.

The "All Eyez on Me" rapper wore the ring on his left-hand finger as a sign of his commitment to Jones.

According to the press release, Shakur created the ring to mark the beginning of a new chapter of his life following his release from prison in 1995 on a sexual assault conviction and after inking his deal with Death Row Records.

A Japanese man who more than $14,000 to become a dog has finally taken his first walk and immediately made some canine friends.

Known only as Toco, the man spent two million Yen, or $14,169 on a hyperrealistic collie costume to fulfil his lifelong dream of “becoming an animal”

In recent updates shared with his almost 30,000 YouTube subscribers, Toco was seen playing in his backyard on all fours and performing tricks in exchange for treats.

But now he has ventured into public for the first time to reveal his new look.

In a pair of surreal videos posted to his YouTube channel ‘I want to be an animal’, Toco was seen being taken out for a walk on a leash, sniffing at other dogs in a park and rolling around on the floor.

Toco’s grand debut — which was captured while he was filming a segment for a German TV station — seemed to be well-received by passers-by and other dogs, who appeared curious.

It wasn’t clear whether they realised Toco wasn’t a natural-born dog.

“I became a collie, fulfilling a dream I had since I was a little child to be an animal!” subtitles at the beginning of the video read

In an introduction to his YouTube channel, Toco explained via a series of written notes translated from Japanese (he doesn’t speak in the videos, since he wants to be a dog): “Nice to meet you. I became a rough (sic) collie because I wanted to be an animal … Please let me know your request for the video you would like to see in the comments!”

Toco says he hides his human identity because he doesn’t want to be judged by people he knows.

“I don’t want my hobbies to be known, especially by the people I work with,” he told the Daily Mail last year.

They think it’s weird that I want to be a dog. For the same reason why I can’t show my real face.”

I rarely tell my friends because I am afraid they will think I am weird,’ he said in a separate interview with the Mirror.

Paramilitary group’s founder has continually been seen at events in Russia despite supposedly agreeing exile in Belarus.

Yevgeny Prigozhin, founder of the notorious Wagner paramilitary group, has appeared on the sidelines of a major Russia-Africa summit in St Petersburg, despite agreeing to go into exile following his failed mutiny last month.

The warlord’s continued presence in Russia indicated Prigozhin remains an important part of the Kremlin establishment, from which President Vladimir Putin has so far proved reluctant or unable to disentangle him.

Prigozhin was photographed shaking hands with Freddy Mapouka, chief of protocol for Central African Republic president Faustin-Archange Touadéra, who attended the summit.

The picture was posted by Dmitry Syty, one of Wagner’s most visible figures in CAR, on his Facebook account with the message: “Mr. Ambassador shared with me the first photos of the Russia-Africa Summit. We see familiar faces”, alongside a smiling emoji.

Syty, director of a Russian cultural centre in the CAR capital Bangui, has been hit with sanctions by the US, EU and, a week ago, the UK, as one of several Russian nationals active in CAR with links to Prigozhin.

Fontanka, a local news outlet, said the photo was taken in a hotel in downtown St Petersburg owned by Prigozhin’s family, which it said had been booked out for all three days of the summit.

News outlets that were previously part of Prigozhin’s media empire — whose ultimate fate, like Wagner’s, remains unclear — claimed Prigozhin also met officials from Mali as well as Niger, where a coup attempt that began on Wednesday threatened to remove its pro-western president, Mohamed Bazoum.

Prigozhin agreed to relocate to Belarus last month after its president, Alexander Lukashenko, brokered an eleventh-hour deal to end the group’s rebellion against the Russian army, which Prigozhin has accused of mismanaging the war effort. But he has spent a significant amount of time since in Russia and even met Putin at a roundtable in the Kremlin.

Prigozhin said last week that Wagner would “gather our strength and head off to Africa” after leaving for exile in Belarus.

His rebellion had called into question whether Wagner could continue fighting as mercenaries for Moscow-friendly governments in countries such as CAR and Mali. Russia has assured CAR that the mercenaries would “continue their activity in the necessary and required numbers”.
