*On Presidential Yatch And Other Matters* . It has become a pattern for some individuals, CSOs and a section of the media to pick one or two line items every budget cycle for sensational headlines, deliberately ignoring context in their reporting. 2 Likes

Politics / 20 Take Aways Of Election 2023 by ALMUSTAQIM(m): 4:40pm On Sep 08, 2023 |
@Reno Omokri 20 THINGS WE LEARNT FROM #NigerianElections2023 1.You can win an election without the support of the incumbent President. 2. Peter Obi's candidacy proved that even when divided into three, the Islamic vote will still defeat the Christian vote. 3.Ninety-three million people registered to vote, but only twenty five million actually voted. It is very doubtful that Nigeria's population is really 220 million. 4.Lagos is NOT a No Man's Land. 5.Rufai Oseni is an Obidient propagandist, not a journalist. 6.The main reason for the PDP's loss is because Peter Obi divided their vote. But for him,Waziri Atiku would have won hands down. 7.Ego is no substitute for strategy. If Peter Obi had been more strategic, he would have been the sitting vice president today. 8.Cyberbullying, threats and intimidation can win you a nomination but not an election. 9.Some people are very vulnerable to mass hypnosis and hysteria. 10.The Southwest and Northwest determine election outcomes if they unite. 11.Many pastors and prophets hear from a strange spirit who lied to them that the next President will be Peter Obi. 12.Over-reliance on so-called 'investigative journalists' made some candidates and their supporters overconfident. 13.Web-based polling and polling done in English will always produce inaccurate results because a majority of Nigerians are not proficient in English. 14.The quietness of the core Muslim North is not stupidity. They saw through Yes Daddy. 15.Religion (both Christianity and Islam) was weaponised. Peter Obi, with his "Church, wake up and take back your country" comment, was the main culprit. 16.The Sultan of Sokoto and Pastor Adeboye displayed exceptional maturity and rare wisdom. Most other clerics did not. 17.Decisive Governors, like Wike and El-Rufai, can use their personalities to affect the voting patterns of their states. 18.Aisha Dahiru Ahmed (Binani) proved that Nigerian women can be as tough as Nigerian men. 19.The Naira re-denomination limited the influence of money in the last election. 20.Some people will prefer a coup if they cannot have a President of their choice. #TableShaker #AllEyesOnTheJudiciary |

Health / If Suddenly You Are Unable To Pass Urine by ALMUSTAQIM(m): 2:12pm On Sep 03, 2023 |
*WHAT TO DO IF SUDDENLY YOU ARE UNABLE TO PASS URINE.* This is the experience of a famous allopathy doctor on account of a medical article. He is in his 70's and an ENT specialist. It was astonishing to listen to one of his experiences which he shared. That morning one day he had a problem on waking up. He had an urge to pass urine but for some reason he was unable to do so. At an advanced age some people face such a problem sometimes, and if they try two or three times they may succeed. He tried repeatedly but nothing happened. His continuous efforts didn’t bear any result. Then he realised there is a problem! Although he is a doctor he is no exception to such physical problems as he is also made of flesh and blood like everyone else. Now his lower abdomen became heavy and he was unable to sit or stand and was suffering from the pressure buildup. Immediately he called up a known urologist on the phone and explained his situation. The Urologist replied “I am at present in a hospital in the outskirts and I will be at a clinic in your area in one and a half hours. Will you be able to withstand it for that long?” He replied, “I will try”. At that instance he received an incoming call from another allopathy doctor, a childhood friend. With great difficulty the old doctor explained the situation to his friend. His friend replied, “Oh, your bladder is full and you are unable to pass urine. Don’t worry, do as I suggest and you will be able to overcome it”. And he gave the instruction, *“Stand up and jump vigorously. While jumping lift both your hands as though you are plucking mangoes from a tree. Do that 15 to 20 times”.* What? ? ? With a full bladder he wants me to jump? Though a little sceptical the old doctor tried it. What a relief to him when within 5 to 6 jumps urine started passing. He felt overjoyed and thankful to his childhood friend for solving the issue with such a simple method which otherwise would have required an admission to a hospital where they would have inserted a catheter inside the bladder, injections, anti-biotics etc etc etc resulting in a bill over thousands of Naira in addition to physical and mental stress for him and his near and dear ones. *KINDLY SHARE WITH SENIOR CITIZENS AND ALL WHO MAY NEED THIS VERY SIMPLE REMEDY FOR WHAT COULD BE AN UNBEARABLE EXPERIENCE.* Very useful message. Must read. Share to other platforms. |

STATE HOUSE PRESS RELEASE "SERVE NIGERIA, NOT REGIONS OR STATES," PRESIDENT TINUBU DIRECTS AS MINISTERS-DESIGNATE ARE SWORN-IN TO OFFICE President Bola Tinubu on Monday charged the 45 newly inaugurated Ministers of the Federal Republic to prioritize the interests and welfare of the entire nation and its diverse population, above any regional or state-specific considerations. Speaking at the inauguration of new members of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) at the State House Conference Centre, the President underscored the immense responsibility the ministers now bear in shaping policies that will significantly influence the lives of hundreds of millions of Nigerians. "You are not a minister of a particular state, colony, region, or ethnic nationality. You are a minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria," President Tinubu declared, setting the tone for his directive to the new ministers. "This is all about the cohesion and work of a great team, and I believe we now have it. It is an honour to be chosen to serve as a minister in the Federal Executive Council, and such a high honour comes with tremendous responsibility. In this moment of abundant promise and peril in equal measure, all of you that have been sworn in have been called to distinguish yourselves. Nigerians are highly expectant of excellence in service delivery, accountability, and transparency," he said. The President also reminded the new ministers that they can not disappoint Nigerians, who expect them to serve with integrity, dignity and competence to actualize the Renewed Hope manifesto of the administration—failing which he will not hesitate to take necessary remedial measures. "As your country honours you today, you must each work to make yourselves worthy in the eyes of God and our entire nation’s people. Your highest obligation is to restore public faith in government so that our people can once again believe that government can be a positive force for transformation and a vehicle for collective progress of all citizens of this great country," President Tinubu said, while congratulating each of the ministers and welcoming them to "the Administration of Renewed Hope." He further affirmed that the newly appointed ministers were selected based on their track records of excellence in both the public and private sectors, noting their effective representation of the rich diversity present within Nigeria. Expressing his wishes for the success of the cabinet members in the discharge of their duties, the President invoked a metaphor of a journey, in which he is the driver of a vehicle, along with all Nigerians as passengers. "In this new assignment, we are in this boat together, even if it is a vehicle, I am the driver. The entire nation sits watchful, as you and I navigate this vehicle. We must hold each other responsible. We have to do the job to meet the expectations of all Nigerians. God be with you, and God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria."
