Phones / Instadict On My Android Device by Alphasunday(m): 6:22am On Sep 05, 2016
I just bought the new it1556 heavy 5000mah device from itel,by the way the device is actually cool, expecting its pro version, I love to read eBooks on my devices, So if you were reading a book or article, and came across a word. Oh!! I’d like to know its meaning, you say to yourself. You minimize the app, go look for your dictionary app, check the meaning, and come back to continue the reading. On occasions, you have to reload the webpage, or even restart the app – just to continue. See all the stress
On Android there’s a saying that goes, “There’s an app for everything”. Well, there’s an app that can save you that stress, the name is Instadict. This app lets you view the meaning of words anywhere on your phone.
How does Instadict work?
Simply copy the word whose meaning you want to know and then shake your device horizontally
to get it’s meaning. Now you don’t have to interrupt what you’re doing or minimize the app any longer. Best of all, Instadict also works offline. Only make sure to download any of the language packs dictionaries below relevant to you

Editors Note: I know some people will suggest alternative ways/apps to solve this problem. I admit there are many ways to kill a rat. So if you have any other means or app that can do similar stuff, please don’t hesitate to share.

There is a popular saying that "the beautiful ones are not yet born, or are yet to be born". Well, this saying seem to be true for itel mobile who are planning to make her fans happier.

I got this akproko from a reliable source, who shared some sneak preview of the itel 1516PLUS with me yesterday. The it1516Plus is the elder brother to it1556, more like the Pro version.

I see smiles smiley smiley

These are the features

It is dual sim with an Android 5.1 Lolipop operating System. Has a display size of 5 inches, a Metal body, internal storage of 8GB nad the best part, RAM: 2GB

Camera is 8MP front and 5MP back with dual flash light. Also comes with an impressive 5050mAh battery: 5050mah and OTG function.

The best part is the fact that it1516 is going for 21--22K.

LAUNCH DATE IN NIGERIAN MARKET is sometime in September.

I DON DEY SAVE ooo. I must get this phone.
Wetin you think? ITEL dey step up?

Phones / Need A New Vpn For Android IOS? Try Rocket VPN by Alphasunday(m): 11:03am On Aug 24, 2016
So I had issues trying to download region restricted apps or videos on my it1556 mobile phone which by the way has not failed me,instead it has cleared my doubts about the negative comments have heard about itel phones ,so back to business.
Have you ever attempted to view a video or download an app, but get that annoying error that says “This content is not available in your region”? Rocket VPN is a free VPN for Android and iOS that gives you access to geographically restricted content, encrypts your data and protects your online privacy.
My Trial of the VPN for Android App
I downloaded on my it1556 and used the Rocket VPN for Android OS and have found it extremely capable. I had used similar apps in the past and not many left a god experience. Rocket VPN is easy to use and offers more options.
For example, in selecting a VPN location, it offers the option of seven (7) locations. By selecting the USA, for example, you can access web content and apps that have been restricted to the USA. Just select the location of your choice and hit the “Connect” button and the VPN connection is made.
The good thing about Rocket VPN is that it doesn’t share your connection with other users. Of course, once connected you internet usage is encrypted.
If you also use Rocket Browser with it, your internet browsing is protected and secure Rocket Browser is available in Play Store.
There’s a menu button in the top right corner of the main interface. This gives you access to do the following:
pay for the app’s Unlimited subscription
login to a user account
set the app to connect automatically when you launch it, or
report a problem, among other things
If being able to access geographically restricted apps and content is important to you, or you just need to protect yourself online on your smartphone, you should be using Rocket VPN.

Phones / Not All That Gliters Is Gold by Alphasunday(m): 1:12pm On Aug 20, 2016
So I wanted to try out a new phone with a different brand,I had a few phones on my mind,
So, was searching for a smartphone to pick as my primary device. I wanted something with a lot of power under the hood but that wouldn’t require me to steal a bank building. After searching and searching, one of my shortlisted devices was Infinix Mobility’s Zero 3. It ticked all the right boxes. Well, almost.
It has one unforgivable trait – Infinix Mobility’s lack of taste in the design department. Apart from being all tepid plastic, I just won’t be caught dead carrying about a phone with such a bland look as the Zero 3.
Then, recently I heard that the Hot S was on its way and would be an all-metal phone. With excitement, I said to the rest of the team, “It looks like Infinix is finally going to give us a beautiful device!”
The Hot S manages to look exciting on the rear end….
Then we got to see the phone and our excitement died out. How Infinix Mobility managed to make a metal design look as unexciting as this beats me. But they pulled it off. Finally, I am convinced that the brand needs to overhaul its design team, if any exists.
...but flip it around and the front is typical infinix Mobility bland.
I will take the TECNO Camon C9 a hundred times over the Hot S, though they are in the same price range. The C9 is a good looking phone. Infinix has produced smartphones that get the low-end market well. But low-end doesn’t mean it has to be bland. But a N40,000 – N50,000 smartphone isn’t low end anyway. There is no valid reason why the Zero 3 or the Hot S should be the bland plastic and metal designs that they are.
I have owned over 160 phones since 2001. While I have reviewed lots of Infinix smartphones and spoken glowingly of many of them, not once has an Infinix smartphone been my primary device. I have used phones by Nokia, Samsung, Apple, BlackBerry, Sony, TECNO and others as primary devices at different times. Never an infinix. I got to thinking about it. Infinix Mobility product design is why. It was why I passed on the Zero 3. It was why I passed every other competent smartphone of theirs.
PS: Speaking of design, did the local shaman also divine to Infinix Mobility that if they put Gorilla Glass (or alternative) on their phones (at least the flagship grade models), the sky would fall and the world come to an end? So I would just stick to buying itel it1556 or as I heard itel is about lunching a new phone maybe I will wait for it next month is here any ways

Phones / No Need For Anti Virus On Your Smart Phones by Alphasunday(m): 6:20am On Aug 18, 2016
It seems like you can’t go a week without one security firm or another producing a statistic illustrating just how much Android malware there is in the wilds of the internet. More often than not, these reports come with a few reminders that the company’s own security suite can protect you from these nasty bits of code, which is true some of the time. However, Android is by its very nature more secure than a desktop computer, so maybe you don’t need these security apps. You’ve probably already got what you need.
The scare tactics
The most recent Android malware report comes from Check Point, which says nearly one billion android devices have critical vulnerabilities in the underlying Linux kernel. Shocking and upsetting, right? It’s a legitimate security issue, but the reporting is, as usual, overly breathless and dramatic. The PR certainly makes it seem like your phone is ripe for infection, but the real situation is much more nuanced.
The latest QuadRooter scare is actually a set of four issues known as CVE-2016-2059, CVE-2016-2504, CVE-2016-2503, and CVE-2016-5340. They are rooted in the Linux system code provided by Qualcomm to partners like Google. The way this is presented by many mainstream reports, you’d think Google is in panic mode and rushing out patches. In fact, the Android security model is much more mature now. Several of these vulnerabilities are already patched in the Android Open Source Project (AOSP), and the others will be soon. As OEMs build new updates, they’ll include updated patch levels, which you can see in your software info.
We’ve all been programmed by PC malware, which can sneak onto your system simply because you visited the wrong website with a vulnerable browser. These “drive-by downloads” aren’t feasible on Android without a pre-existing infection. On Itel Android, you have to physically tap on a notification to install an APK downloaded from a source outside the Play Store. Even then there are security settings that need to be manually bypassed on all latest Itel smart phones eg,1701,1702,1506,1551,1556 etc.
What if a QuadRooter app were to make it into the Play Store before then? Google’s platform has the ability to scan for known malware when it’s uploaded. There’s also a human review process in place for anything that looks even a little bit questionable. Google just started doing this a few months ago, mainly as a way to keep copycat apps and obvious scams from slipping through the cracks.
The solution pushed by AV companies is to install a security suite that manually scans every app, monitors your Web traffic, and so on. These apps tend to be a drain on resources and are generally annoying with plentiful notifications and pop ups. You probably don’t need to install Lookout, AVG, Symantec/Norton, or any of the other AV apps on your itel mobile smart phone,it comes with inbuilt security functions. Instead, there are some completely reasonable steps you can take that won’t drag down your phone. For example, your phone already has antivirus protection built-in.
What you should do to stay safe
Your first line of defense is to simply not mess around with the Itel default security settings. To get Google certification, each and every phone and tablet comes with “Unknown sources” disabled in the security settings. If you want to sideload an APK downloaded from outside Google Play, all you need to do is check that box. Leaving this disabled keeps you safe from virtually all Android malware, because there’s almost none of it in the Play Store.
There are legitimate reasons to allow unknown sources, though. For example, Amazon’s Appstore client sideloads the apps and games you buy, and many reputable sites re-host official app updates that are rolling out in stages so you don’t have to wait your turn. If you do take advantage of this feature, the first time you do so a box will pop up asking you to allow Google to scan for malicious activity. This is known as Verify Apps and it’s part of Google Play Services on virtually all official Android phones. Google has confirmed that QuadRooter is detected and disabled by Ver,so why not join and enjoy,

Science/Technology / Removing Malware Or Virus From Your Itel Device Or Any Other Without Resetting by Alphasunday(m): 10:09am On Jun 25, 2016
HOW TO REMOVE A VIRUS FROM YOUR ITEL PHONE WITHOUT A FACTORY RESET.
Mal ware or virus generally cuses your itel phones to malfunctioning
It download such of rubbish by itself
and so on
If your phone isn’t functioning the way it should be, there’s a chance you have some malware on it. One wrong tap somewhere and a malicious file might have been downloaded on your phone, which is leeching battery life, Internet resources, or your personal data.
But it could be something else.Suppose your Android refuses to boot or crashes every time it starts up. Or maybe you can’t seem to download apps from the Play Store. These are not necessarily caused by a virus. So don’t panic! In fact, there are some tell-tale signs that your Android has a virus. Ask yourself a few questions:
1. Did the problem start happening after you downloaded some app or file?
2. Have you recently installed an app from a third-party source and not the Play Store?
3. Did you click on some ad that downloaded a file or app you didn’t want?
4. Does the problem occur only when you run a particular app?
If the answer to any of the above is yes, then there’s a chance you have malware on your system. And importantly, you might be able to fix it without a factory reset!Install and Run an Antivirus Scan
The first step is to run an antivirus and see if that catches the malware. Android actually has a wide array of antivirus apps now, both free and paid. We’ve tried to answer what is the best Android antivirus app, but honestly, there’s no one app that is head and shoulders above the rest.
In terms of detection and ease of use, if you want a free app, then Avira is a good bet. It will scan all your files and apps, and recommend removing malicious ones.that's why itel rocks better easycheezy,
