It seems gypsies marry early. I am not surprised. Mexicans are considered adults at fifteen. Western media paints minorities of the age as adults whenever they commit crimes but call their race minors when they do the same.

Happy married life to her. She won’t regret. With the consideration that one is adult, the person will act accordingly. Many twenty-four year olds here act like teenagers because society sees them as children.
This teenage girl can't officially get married until 18 years of age (2 years time) based on UK marriage laws because she's still a minor who recently turned 16!

37-year-old Tyson Fury's recently turned 16-year-old teenage girl gets engaged and her mother is just 35.

1] Tyson Fury's 16-Year-Old Daughter 'Blocked' From Marriage After Getting Engaged

She would have to wait at least two years before she and her partner can officially tie the knot through marriage.

In February 2023, the Marriage and Civil Partnership (Minimum Age) Act 2022 came into force.

According to GOV.UK, it means “16 and 17 year olds will no longer be allowed to marry or enter a civil partnership, even if they have parental consent”.

In UK law, the age of 18 is widely recognised as the point at which one becomes an adult and gains full citizenship rights.

Obi's son, Oseloka cannot be calling his mother dear sister, just because she's about 17years older than him. Obi is 17years younger than the Olubadan.

Both Atiku and president Tinubu are closer in age to the Olubadan, and have been his seniors politically. The President and former VP are no 1 and no 2 positions in the nation. Moreover, as senators, senator Tinubu was a higher ranking senator than him.
In practice and life, the trio have been close friends for decades. The same is not applicable to Obi.

We're Not Your Wives, Stop Using Us As Bedmates– Rev'd Sister Tells Priests, Exposes Sexual Harassment in Catholic Church

Rev’d Sr. Kinse Anastasia of Veritas University, Abuja, has raised alarm on social media, accusing some Catholic priests and church authorities of sexually harassing and maltreating Reverend Sisters.

According to her, Sisters are often demeaned and reduced to “ornaments in Habits,” treated as though their sole purpose is to satisfy priests’ desires.

She revealed that some priests even go as far as telling them that “Sisters are meant to be priests’ wives,” a claim they act upon without shame.

Anastasia also alleged that many Church leaders deliberately silence Sisters and make them vulnerable, while some superiors misuse their positions of authority.

However, she did not spare Sisters who compromise their vows, warning that such actions weaken the dignity of consecrated life.

In her words, “Religious Sisters are not priests’ wives. We are not bedmates. We are women of God. The Church must do better because God is watching.”

Imagine me your mate, working with someone the mate of your father and I start calling him dear brother. It's not african or Nigerian. Perhaps Gen Alpha, but Obi is not Gen Alpha and should know better. Exercise some emotional intelligence.

Oba Ladoja is slightly older than Atiku and president Tinubu, and they have worked together as friends since as far back as 1990.
Oba Ladoja and President Tinubu were both senators in 1990, and Tinubu was senior in rank.

Also they served together as close governors, with governor Tinubu helping governor Ladoja, even in time of distress. This is open national knowledge. Now, Tinubu is president. Tinubu and Atiku have both been close friends and superiors to Oba Ladoja.

It's incomparable to Obi who was coincidence governor in 2006 with them. The relationship is not same. Oseloka Obi cannot be calling his mother, dear sister. She's about 17 years older than him. Or what do i know, he does?

There are international cultural etiquettes that people have to be VERY familiar with otherwise, you burn your fingers. So, it's very important to have sound advisers on inter-cultural or inter-ethnic relationships so that you do NOT offend the cultural sensibilities of others and avoid these kinds of social blunders. This is why international business etiquette and history are a MUST for all international business people conducting transactions from one country to another.
TravelRe: Cheap Houses In Detroit, Michigan by AlphaTaikun: 12:28pm On Sep 28, 2025
Cousin9999:
I don't know if this has been discussed, but it's something I think most would want to know about.

The city of Detroit has this land bank, and you can buy houses for as little as $500 or $1000 (USD). The reason it exists is because the city had a rough time economically, and many people left. This resulted in tons of abandoned homes, which became violent drug dens. After a high profile crime, a millionaire partnered with the city to buy up these places and offer them cheap, so the right sorts of people could acquire them and revitalize the area.

These homes are obviously not in pristine condition, so it's only for people who either can do carpentry/electrical/plumbing/HVAC, or who have friends/family that will do it/help for a fraction of the cost. But it's worth it because you can rehab these places for like $30,000 (give or take) and you'll have a 2-4 bedroom house or rental property with no mortgage.

These neighborhoods are not as dangerous as you would think, but you do have to be concerned about things like people stealing building materials out of the place while you're renovating.
So that means you would have to sleep in it while you do work. However, Detroit people are some of the most welcoming and appreciative people. They truly are thankful to see good people come into the community and fix up these houses.

Now, I wouldn't say the Detroit job market is amazing, but there are opportunities and things are definitely improving. Lots of people are coming to the area and it's experiencing significant growth. There are some other trade-offs because it's the Midwest, a smaller city, and etc. But that's a matter of personal preference. Not my style, but some people would love it (especially if you work remotely and have a pretty good salary).

Here's the official website of the city's land bank: https://buildingdetroit.org/

Also, there's other places that have a similar program, but I think those places have more competition with commercial investors, and not quite as many properties in decent areas. Still worth a look though.

There's a popular tv show that shows what this is like. They show everything except the financial part, like having to rip off the side of the house and cleaning excrement off the walls. Now, these guys spend significantly more than needed (interior design) because they're trying to sell properties. But most people don't need all that, whether living in it or using it as a rental. If you just "white box" it and throw some flooring down, you don't need to spend what they do:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q5N5hSmI8Uc

It's harder to find properties this cheap anymore because people are jumping on these houses.
That's an insightful real estate deal coming from out of Detroit, Michigan.

Did you know that even after the September 11, 2001 plane hijacking incident that happened in New York City, USA where almost 3000 people died, there have been other cases of hijacking still going on but at minor scale?

The event of September 11 has helped tremendously to tighten security in the aviation industry, thus hijackers find it difficult to break through.

But before 2001, cases of plane hijacking were common as terrorists preferred to take their fight to the skies.

History cannot be eroded.

Click the link below to watch incidents of airplane hijackings by terrorist organisations up until 2001. You'll be happy you did. Don't forget to like and subscribe.

That's a fantastic timeline of some aircraft hijacked right from 1970 by terror groups with Islamist affiliations in the Middle East. Counter terrorism measures have since scaled up with the 9/11 episode in 2001 who stunned me as I watched the scenes occur live on TV. NOW, there is NO more ABSOLUTE privacy as everyone is being watched in order to deter real terror gangs from further causing chaos. There are items you cannot even bring onboard a flight as they are deemed to be potentially dangerous.
CultureRe: “ile-ife Is Not The Origin Of The Yoruba Race” – Oluwo Of Iwo by AlphaTaikun:
alphonsojaybaz:
The Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrosheed Akanbi, has stirred controversy by rejecting the long-held belief that Ile-Ife is the cradle of the Yoruba people. Speaking during a chieftaincy ceremony at his palace in Iwo, Osun State, the monarch insisted that Ife does not reflect the true culture and history of the Yoruba race. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

Oluwo’s Argument: Language and Cultural Differences

According to Oba Akanbi, the language spoken in ancient Ife differs significantly from contemporary Yoruba.

“Ife is not the origin of the Yoruba race. Those people don’t speak our language. Their language is different. They refer to God as Eledumare, and there is nothing like Eledumare in the Yoruba language. What we have is Olodumare,” the Oluwo stated.

He further pointed out certain terms that, in his view, demonstrate a cultural divide:

“Ife people will always say Olofin, and if you ask them the meaning, they will tell you it means the owner of the palace. What that means in Yoruba is Alaafin. Ile-Ife has no Yoruba culture,” he added.

Iwo: Keeper of True Yoruba History

Oba Akanbi described himself as the “Arole Olodumare” (representative of God) and claimed that Iwo preserves the authentic Yoruba history that is not widely documented.

“I am here to tell you the true history. Iwo is where you can get the real history that was not even documented,” he emphasized, urging his subjects to preserve his words as part of Yoruba heritage.

The monarch also expressed fearlessness in speaking the truth:

“Whatever I am telling you now, you must keep it because death can come anytime. I am not scared of death because it is inevitable.”

Renewed Disputes Over Yoruba Titles

Oba Akanbi’s remarks come amid ongoing disagreements among Yoruba traditional rulers concerning historical interpretation and the authority to confer titles.

Recently, tensions arose between the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, and the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Akeem Owoade, over a chieftaincy title allegedly awarded to Ibadan businessman Chief Dotun Sanusi. The Alaafin demanded its revocation within 48 hours, but the Ooni’s palace dismissed the threat, stating the matter had been left “to the court of public opinion.”

Conclusion

The Oluwo of Iwo’s controversial statement has reignited debates over the origins of the Yoruba people and which city truly preserves their cultural legacy. While Ile-Ife has long been celebrated as the historic cradle of Yoruba civilization, Oba Akanbi’s declaration positions Iwo as a critical custodian of Yoruba history.

https://eyesoflagos.com/ile-ife-is-not-the-origin-of-the-yoruba-race-oluwo-of-iwo/
There are different dialects of the same language from one region of Yorubaland to another. This isn't strange as many ethnic groups (including the English folks right in England ALSO CLEARLY have dialects, accents and slight variations in spelling words).

The words "Eledumare" and "Olodumare" meaning "the Supreme God" are just dialectic variations of the same concept. Olofin and Alaafin are ALSO simply dialectic variations of the same thing. For instance we have the historically revered Olofin Ogunfunminire who was an Ile-Ife Prince and is the ancestor of the Awori-Yoruba people of Lagos and Ogun States of today who arrived from Ile-Ife centuries ago and FIRST settled on Iddo and Eko Islands (Lagos Island). The famous White Cap Chiefs of Lagos Island are direct descendants of Olofin Ogunfunminire's biological male children.

There were other autochthonous communities in Yorubaland for centuries before Oduduwa was born and arrived from his hilly Yoruba home town of Oke-Ora just 8 miles away from the current Ile-Ife over 900 years ago (to encounter the already existing dynasty and ancestors of the current Yoruba Oba Frederick Akinruntan, the Olugbo of Ugbo Kingdom now located in the oil and gas-rich Ilaje area of Ondo State). Prof. Jide Osuntokun (Nigeria's former Ambassador to Germany), the United States-based Prof. Toyin Falola, and Prof. Banji Akintoye are 3 of the internationally respected historians who have stated these FACTS clearly for in their advanced books and works for decades, so, these bloggers should NOT begin to twist the Oluwo of Iwo's comments OR engage in sensationalism with this interview.

Segzy19:
Unfortunately the state governor is also of Fulani origin, though he answers Yoruba name....
Are you sure about this? I thought this Kwara Governor's late legal luminary father who was ALSO the Nigerian Ambassador to Cote D'Ivoire in the 1960s, Abdulganiyu Folorunso Abdulrahman is of direct paternal Yoruba lineage in Ilorin. [He was the first man from the entire Old Northern Region to become a lawyer, and he EXPOSED in an exclusive interview some years back the historical FACT that Dr. Olusola Saraki's (Bukola Saraki's father) biological father is ORIGINALLY from Abeokuta and NOT Ilorin]. This same current Governor of Kwara State is even married to a Yoruba woman from Lagos State. Nearly all the current and former Governors Kwara State are married to pure Yoruba women from other Yoruba-speaking States aside from Kwara which has 12 Yoruba-owned Local Government Areas, the Nupes have 2 LGAs and the Baribas have 2 LGAs (the United States-based Farooq Kperogi is a Bariba). Therefore the Yorubas of Kwara State ancestrally own 12 LGAs right up to Jebba on the banks of river Niger, out of the 16 LGAs in Kwara State.

I noticed that some of those foreign migrants minority Fulas from other countries like to hide their identities behind Islamic and Yoruba names so as to start claiming Ilorin as their home town and this is what the constitutional amendments has to dismantle urgently from 2025. It's a big security risk that a foreign Fula would start drop his Fula names and start bearing Yoruba names while claiming to be the leader of Fulani Miyetti Allah in his locality BUT using a Yoruba first name and surname in that Punch newspaper interview I read a few years ago when Buhari was still the Nigerian President. The Yorubas and other ethnic groups MUST NEVER tolerate such behavior.

Even the indigenous Hausas are tired of Fula domination in their own Hausaland as seen in several videos and have vowed NOT to ever vote any Fula again. This is why the Fula political hegemonists such as Atiku Abubakar, Nasir El-Rufai, Sule Lamido and more are desperate to grab power again while hiding under the umbrella of one North and religion. The majority Hausas are saying in those viral videos that NO single Hausa man has ever been the President of Nigeria since 1960 and all the indigenous Hausa States in the North West currently do NOT have Hausa Governors BUT only the minority Fula Governors. ONLY the minority Fulani migrants have cornered the major national political positions. President 'Bola Tinubu has to be careful and be made aware of this by NOT handing over power to a Fula otherwise this minority will take everyone back to square one and reverse every positive institution and policies because they know there are strong rumblings among the indigenous Hausa people to take back Hausaland. Fulas are NOT more then 21 million in the whole of West Africa yet the much larger ethnic groups of Hausa, Yoruba, Kanuris, Ibo, and more in Nigeria keep allowing the Fulas to manipulate them and attack their ancestral homelands with impunity.
