Family › Re: At 23 Years Old, I Have No Idea What I Am Doing With My Life by AlphikkaTech: 6:26pm On Aug 06, 2020 |
YoungandDepress: My story is quite a sad and long one. I wish I could write it all out. My life has been a terrible mess. Where did it go wrong for me, I have no idea.
I am writing with so much emotion, my heart is full and heavy. Life is bitter.
I am a 23 years old guy. My life all started to go in the negative direction when I gained admission at age 16. A 16 years old boy in the university, so much freedom and exposure. I messed up my life, I became addicted to bet9ja virtual gambling I lost focus, Gambling killed me, I started failing exams, at the end I dropped out without my parents Knowing, but the truth came out when I was supposed to graduate, I could not hide it anymore. I told them the truth, my parents forgave me like the prodigal son.
They still believed in me especially my mom, she keeps reminding me of how intelligent I used to be.
Well I'm not here to talk about my past life but here to talk about how it is still affecting me today.
Ever since I started university all over again, I have been miserable and frustrated. Nothing has been working in my favour. I'm currently now in 200level hoping to graduate before 25. All my mates I started with have done their NYSC.
I'm still stuck in the same stage. I have no idea what I am doing with my life. I'm young, broke and depressed. I get irritated over little things. I feel disgust at how I uselessed my youthful life. How gambling destroyed me.
By the grace of whichever god exists, I am no longer addicted to gambling. I have quit the addiction for almost a year now but nothing changed, I still feel miserable. I hate having people around me even my family members including my mom.
I have no true friends. Nobody checks on me, nobody calls me.
At this age, I can't boast of having 500 naira in my account. I'm broke and miserable.
I have started hating God and question my belief in God. I hate Sunday's. I hate hearing about God, I don't blame God for my troubles but I'm angry at the fact that despite my parents being dedicated Christians, things are not working well in my family. My elder ones are graduates, but no solid job yet.
Only my eldest brother who is doing quite well now and I thank God for his life but we don't talk. I can't remember the last time I called him on phone. They don't hate me, I hate myself. I have disappointed them a lot.
I just lost the last #1000 I had in my life today and I cried. The money fell out my pocket when I went to get something.
At 23 years, I have no idea what I will do with my future. I still live with my parents and I have never rented an apartment of my own even in school.
What is wrong with me, why am I miserable?
I have no good clothes. My clothes are all worn out. I have nothing doing, i live off my parents.
Since schools were shut down, I have been at home doing nothing. Completely broke, damaged and miserable.
Can my life be any better. What do I do. I am depressed. I keep asking myself these questions but there Seem to be no answer. I wish I commented first. I have been there. Just start hustling and your life will get better. You will meet new people, make better friends, more money. This is nothing new, for a lot of men like us, nothing is given to us, we must build our lives out of nothing. |

BTW, who take Sahara Reporters serious again in this country, maybe PDP dundees.

PAGAN9JA: Beautiful. We must return to the TRADITIONAL Animist RELIGION of our ancestors.
99.9% of Nigerian problems will be solved
We must take our roots seriously.
We must respect the nature and all living things around us. From the smallest owl or cat to the largest bat or elephant. This is most important. Everything else is secondary.
We must be upright and revive our ethos. No matter the negative forces we face around us. We must be strong.
We must learn to respect women. Regardless of the attitudes we face.
I think you both need jesus. Why didn't the animist religion of our forefathers prevent the Europeans from colonizing us? JESUS reigns supreme. I'll choose JESUS any day any time. |

Every religion is telling her people the same thing in different ways, so Christians believe all other religions followers will go to hell and Muslims too believe the same. Abeg wetin happen to humanity. What happen to good people who are not religious? Hell, if they heard about Jesus and did not accept him |

Donkenny511: What if he's a Muslim? Or are you saying all other religions followers will go to hell? Yes, the holy book says no one can go to the Father except through Jesus. Point blank, in this era, if you have heard about Jesus and you did not accept him, you are going to hell. John 14:6 Jesus is the only way Those who say Islam and Christianity are the same because of similarities are wrong because Jesus stated it himself, he is the only way and their is no other way. |

Denique: My brother, you could be right...the woman said it's not true, that she owes her a lot of money she had to write off too!
She says she's doing this to get close to me for the sake of goodies and that she might end up pitching me against her father. She asked I be very careful and avoid her.
This ensued a moment ago!
Don't know who or what to believe anymore as I was sincerely doing this from a place of love...I was sleepless last night. Pheew! See!!! I told you. Why would a hungry girl want shawarma instead of real food. Some people are very smart or possessed to Know people with good hearts who can be manipulated easily. Be strict with that girl and if you are too soft to be strict, stop her from coming to your shop. She is a wayward girl, a very very very bad girl. Her waywardness must be 80+/100. Don't let your good heart put you in trouble. Do good with sense. Don't let the good you do put you in a mess. Advising from a bad experience. |
Crime › Re: Muhammad Alfa Who Raped 40 Women In 1 Year In Kano Arrested By Police by AlphikkaTech: 2:41pm On Jun 11, 2020 |
Denique: I thought about that too but what informed the thread is the rape issue...like it's so huge for someone to use that to secure a credit facility.
Again, I didn't even ask her as I'm about my venture...her father met her sitted while waiting for her shawarma order and he scolded her and asked her to leave immediately after inquiring from me if she was there to buy shawarma which, I had to lie about to stop him from beating her.
She came the next day to apologise thus bringing up her son's father irresponsibility. All this while, I paid no attention as I was busy until she mentioned "if not that I was raped, shey it will just be only me to worry about". That was when I paused what I was doing and asked "Rape! raped by whom?" she replied and then I had orders to tend to, so I told her we would talk at length later on...it skipped my mind the next day...for about 3days until yesterday when she came to me again...telling me all in details and I truly felt bad for her.
Just like you pointed out in your writeup, the reason I want to hear from her father is to make sure she never dated the guy in question and it was indeed rape before I can copy any activist online. Just making sure. Thanks so much! Hear what neighbors have to say about her first before meeting her father. You might have a good heart, but some people aren't like you. |
Crime › Re: Muhammad Alfa Who Raped 40 Women In 1 Year In Kano Arrested By Police by AlphikkaTech: 12:34pm On Jun 11, 2020 |
Denique: Hi guys! I have a rape case at hand and I really don't know how to go about it. A young girl at my shawarma spot told me she was raped by a 42yr old man and the incident yielded a child...a child he doesn't take care of!
According to her, he brings a paltry N700 which is not everyday. She said the man's mum threatened to make her dumb if she goes to human rights.
I plan to tell a popular Lady in the area whom I also relate well with about it, so she can meet with the father of the girl who also owns a shop in the plaza.
Her parents asked her to let go since she has a child by the man. Their reason is so that, the child does not grow up to be tagged a rapist child.
People in the neighborhood call her demeaning names cos they all think she slept around and that resulted in the pregnancy.
It was also this same man that deflowered her. He admitted raping her to her parents and he is still friends with her uncle. The only thing the uncle is suggesting is changing the boy's surname to hers since he has refused to support her with 15k on a monthly basis.
I am also being careful as I am new in the area.
All these came up when she kept coming to buy shawarma on credit citing she hadn't eaten...her father sometimes gives her N150 to eat and feed the child also. He didn't give her the day before yesterday but gave her yesterday to take the boy to the health centre.
I wept yesterday when I saw how she beat up the child like an adult...clocked a year old this March while she's just 24. Neighbours abused and hit her for beating him. I understand her pains but couldn't do anything.
I feel so sad right now.
Should I tell the woman in the plaza as her father listens to her?
Pls note that the man has also raped another girl. The victim's elder brother only beat the abuser up and that was it... Thread carefully. Shawarma on credit! Hmmm! I suspect the girl might be lying. Ask people who have lived in the area about her. Maybe minding your own business in this case will help |
