After completing the app, I am been asked to send semester fee with other documents before my application can be processed.

Also, if I apply for two programs Donut have to send two sets of documents?

Well, I do not know how you expect a VO to translate that except you include a recent valuation though, I do not think he knows by how much the land has appreciated. That said, is the land in your name? I for one do not find it necessary however, if you think you want to include it, just explain what it means to the VO and why it is important.

I have seen people include landed properties to show home ties.

Gurus in the house do you think the VO will perceive a land agreement for a 60,000 naira piece of land bought since 1978 positively?

Also, can I merge additional files with my admission letter to maximize space for online application.

Please what do you mean by business name registration?, a registered business must come with a incorporation certificate from CAC. Can you shade more light on this, so I can be able to advice you properly.

Business name registration is just a registration of legal name for a business while business incorporation is deemed appropriate for established organisations.

Yes you can so long as the business is legally registered in Nigeria.

I only have business name registration and not incorporation certificate. I hope this would work.

Hello house, I did business name registration for a consulting startup with some friends but we have not been able to get it off the ground so we all moved on with our lives with the hope of getting it to work later. I current run a small supply business which is not registered and I have build considerable cash flow in my account.

Can I use my business name certificate and soa alone as proof of employment and home tie?

I am applying for a graphics designing position in a company and the recruitment team has requested a sample of projects I have done, which they expect me to submit latest by close of business on Monday.
Due to lack of electricity where I am currently, I couldn't tidy up the project on Friday.
do you think it is ideal to send the samples to their email during the weekend or should I just wait till Monday Morning?

Going to USA with only #600k That's a very big ask sha. Though nothing is impossible if u believe. The truth about US schools is that because of the competitive nature, they don't really give that much funding below phd level. But u can get fully funded masters in Europe and UK. N there are lots of opportunities over there. Why not give UK a try at masters level? Make a good grade. Then maybe try phd in USA. Cos usa no be place to go without money oooo.

Thank you for the advice, I heard living expenses are high in UK and other parts of Europe and I actually know little about Europe and I have no idea about UK schools and funding. can you please share any Europe and UK scholarship links?.

All you'll be needing is a Graduate Assistantship that waives your tuition & provides you with stipends that could suffice for your living expenses. Your 600k should do for flight and perhaps settling in. However, you'll need to ace your standardized tests and apply to the RIGHT schools. That is, schools in which you stand a chance of being funded given your academic profile.

How is everyone doing?
I have been following this thread from way back 2012 after my ND, but just recently graduated from uni with a 2.1 (statistics), I have always dreamt of doing masters and PhD in the US but as things stand now I don't know how that can be achieved. Though I have list of possible schools , intent of writing GRE and TOEFL, the first draft of my SOP and standby lecturers to write letter of recommendations, but my concern is how to pay tuition and other expenses as my Dad is a civil servant and Mum a trader and all bulk money they could come by is at Max #500-600k at the time of traveling and I intend to use NYSC allowance and side hustling to pay for GRE, TOEFL and admission processing. What sincere and honest advice can you give to help me achieve the dream?

Good people of Nairaland, I am currently at a crossroad to either let a girl I love go or to try more, I've been friend with this girl for a while (2 years), during which I've asked her out once and I got that most dreaded response ( NO). The response does not seems to affect our friendship negatively as I didn't have a change in attitude towards her, but about some months ago a guy asked her out and she made him understand that she has a boyfriend (Me) and I get to know this through a mutual friend with the guy. This made me decided to ask her out again but I still got the No response which left me with a lot of questions like is she playing hard to guy? Did she just use me to chase the other guy away? Or she is truely not interested?. Though I have decided to move on, but I am not sure if I am making the right decision. Your advice and recommendations will be highly appreciated.
