Interesting read!!! Ur write up gives me that nostalgic feeling. Nassarawa is such a nice state. Although the weather is unwelcoming all year round but the people of Nassarawa are very liberal and welcoming. Our traditional wedding suffices. The consent and blessings from the parents supercedes the pastor's. This practice started when the roman empire wanted to rid itself of the responsibility of joining couples. It gave it to the roman catholic church to oversee.
