Man age 28 Woman age 22 Married for 8 years? The math seems skeptical. I could have said probably immaturity but domestic violence news nowadays cuts across all ages. I find it funny how people find it hard to call it quits if the going is not smooth anymore. Another part is the person being left not willing to let go. People should learn to believe in themselves and stay where they are appreciated not where tolerated. How the person you trust to protect you becomes the very danger to run from beats me. The person you promised to love is the one you raise your hands against. It baffles me o. This is one spousal murder too many. |
For those asking, this is where she spoke of the unfortunate incidents. https://www.nairaland.com/6457781/iyabo-ojo-armed-robber-raped Best not to condemn others if you don't know what they passed through. |
Blue3k:Probably gradual. Not when they have military forces lurking around. |
He probably forgot about the customs rice stampede and immigration recruitment stampede. Even government forces make mistakes. But I do get the point that mistakes happen everywhere. I think government should provide checklist guide so that anyone making public donations can read and follow. That way, all the basics would be known and lesser of these incidents happen. In addition, programs like assisted living centers for homeless to sleep in, soup kitchens and so on should be organized under the welfare departments where people could easily donate and make it a reoccurring program. People need those helps now. |
LOSKYXANDER:I noticed some vehicles on the long straight road driving on the wrong lane. Was this intended? |
SalamRushdie:I wrote another post above that explains how the bank settlements will happen. https://www.nairaland.com/8303222/nigeria-snubs-dollar-renews-3.2/2#133478754 |
descarado:Nobody. The China man will always get his yuan. I spoke more on this in the post above. https://www.nairaland.com/8303222/nigeria-snubs-dollar-renews-3.2/2#133478754 |
SalamRushdie:The Chinese won't be paid in naira but rather their own yuan while Nigerians here will be paid in naira for international transactions. In international trade, there sis something called Letter of Credit (LC) which is sent by a buyer's back to the seller's bank assuring that the money for the good purchased is available and will be settled when due. That way, the Chinese pay the fee in yuan while the Nigerian gets pain in naira. Take note, the Chinese buy a lot of raw materials from us. Our importers too will pay in naira and the Chinese bank pays the seller over there in yuan. At the time if interbank settlement, the country that owes will balance out the other. The dollar will have no show unlike being the current status quo. |
SalamRushdie:30% of Nigeria's imports are from china. Most of these payments are settled in dollars. Imagine if almost of of these bypass the dollar and the naira to dollar strain that will be reduced. That way will let the dollar rate fall. In addition, Nigeria will be the clearing house for Africa - China meaning that the position the dollar currently holds is the same position the naira will now hold as an intermediary currency. This will raise the value of the naira. With other African countries having lesser demand on the dollar, it will fall drastically. Politically, BRICKS will cash in on this leading to further dollar fall. I could almost say Nigeria might lead to the downfall of the united states. The yuan swap deal was initiated some years ago but Nigeria later halted its part probably due to pressure from the US. In short, delaying it meant the citizens of Nigeria had to bear the weight that kept the US economy. Now, that will change or it might also be another gra gra just to get a Nigeria - US pressure on something we've been asking united states for and later cut it again. However, knowing our president likes to make money flow in, this one might come to fruition. |
Speeding1:I was literally about to same thing about the quick arrest response. Unlike before, we wouldn't even hear anything after the carnage and mayhem. This also prevents issues of revenge attacks if people see the government will not let such massacres go unanswered. For now though, we can't say who attacked the village yet as I know tgat sometimes fellow indigenes competing over resources could also instigate such attacks. I hope we hear more info in coming days. |
We should have proper welfare systems in place to take care of these. Soup kitchens to offer continuous free food services. Assisted living for the poor. A database of poor people and their account numbers so money does not need to be given physically. If the welfare sections of local governments handle these on a regular basis, there won't e any fear of inadequacies leading to stampedes. |
G0Oodharddick:On the contrary, the OSU people are HIGHLY industrious and wealthy as they had to work harder than most due to their ostracisation. Where I would blame the lady is hiding that piece of sensitive info from her fellow ibo. Whomever will love you will do so and would be willing to defend you from others. All the same, I still feel for her. By the way, who send the friend to post her crying on social media for content? Let's be careful of those friends always bending phone while interviewing us. |
Kindness218:Sometimes, ages get distorted to allow the boy be tried as an adult. He also could be that age. Anything is possible. However, whomever meets that boy when he is with a gun under the influence would not stop to ask of his age. |
psychologist:Seems the event is a Love Feast where gifts and food are usually switched and shared. |
PexinPikin:Give me a call |
Mummytoo:That cockroach bait (picture attached below) sold at shops attracts them and they love to eat it. A bit at each corner is more than enough. Once they die, leave the dead bodies for a few more days. You will see them turned black and lying upside down. Just sweep them to a side. Did you know cockroaches are carnivorous? Yes, they eat the dead ones and they also die from the effect. Common areas are your waste tanks, dark and moist corners. One single sachet will do you for one day. Let them eat themselves for two days and then repeat. By the time you've done the cycle for two weeks, even the ones that were eggs would hatch, taste the poison and die. It also doesn't carry the risk of otapiapia and the rest.

The title is not comprehensive. More info is included in the post itself. The new bill does not affect ALL drug traffickers. It only applies to those with weapons. Same as difference between stealing and armed robbery. I believe it is to dissuade barons and their minions from arming up against law enforcement. |
wickedclown: Blitzking:I would look at it more that we are the home team and have all our sound and recording equipment setup while the indian away team would have to rely on the lady's writings and possibly later our recordings fom request after which it would have been edited. There is no laxity here. Probably OP was just being sentimental and of course, our not appreciating our own. |
It would be nice to watch the complete video first before making a comment. Several other people with him were also spoon fed. Seems it was also a cultural celebration thing. But, the part where they were led outside and then back inside the dining room was risky. Poisoning could take place within that time interval. |
The impressive part of the news was that those three whose ballots were destroyed would be contacted for a replacement. Every vote counts and their policy of ensuring it is noteworthy. If we can achieve this as a country, we would grow much more. |
advanceDNA:Only that the mistreatment in this case was them collecting her phone. |
Kobicove:Considering it is an aspect of the sexual act, it could be termed as rape as if is without consent. |

geezville86:While her being upset is justified, she literally just admitted to spraying money. What's the allure of putting oneself into trouble and risk jail time just to pass a message online? 🤔 |
dettolgel:If followed up, that could lead to those traders losing their spaces in the market and if the Oba is influential enough, he would get the big pockets of the domain to fund a special program where they buy in bulk from the farmers and sell directly in the market at the controlled prices. It will only backfire on the traders if they try to act funny. I am aware of the huge profit margins up to three times the cost of items these people make (inclusive of transport costs). Before, when things were not this hard, it could have been overlooked but not now. |
Nice list. |
I saw the headline, I clicked. I read the post, I fumed. Then I watched the video. One thing is missing. Where is the slap? It is good to confirm the evidence nowadays before commenting. Lots of misconstruction meant to sway sentiments. |
MasterJayJay:Exactly. They are ready to sacrifice the man now since Kamala needs all the credentials to win. Being president will give her a huge boost. |
Donsheddy:Congrats dear |
Seems you have to have paid for a month ahead before entering The Leap contest
