PoliticsIkpeazu Is An Unrepentant Liar, IPOB Reacts To Abia Gov's ‘attack’ On Kanu by AmadiAba(op): 4:55pm On Feb 21, 2018
The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has reacted to a statement credited to the Abia State Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu who called its leader, Nnamdi Kanu a liar.

IPOB challenged the governor to “publish” whatever material at his disposal that will lend credence to his assertion on Kanu.

In a statement signed by its spokesperson, Emma Powerful, the pro-Biafra group, described Ikpeazu and governors in the region as “Hausa-Fulani stooge” masquerading as politicians in Igboland.

The group noted that Ikpeazu, who has been rejected across Igboland only resorted to using Kanu’s name to gain popularity.

The statement reads, “Over the coming days and weeks, Okezie Ikpeazu will be methodically and systematically shredded publicly for his blatant lies against our leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and the great IPOB movement he leads.

“It will be in his best interest and that of his Northern handlers to publish whatever material at his disposal that will lend credence to his assertions, chiefly that our leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu reneged on agreements reached with him and other South East governors during his interview granted to BBC Igbo Service in the Government House Umuahia.

“He must tell the world, where, when and with whom he met Nnamdi Kanu. We will not allow him to get away with this bare-faced deceit and lies. Lying has become second nature to most of these Hausa Fulani stooges masquerading as politicians in Igboland especially. These peddling of lies and distortion of facts against Kanu is a well orchestrated plan conceived prior to Operation Python Dance 2 which they the governors initiated with Nnia Nwodo.

“They hoped to use compromised media channels like the BBC to peddle these lies that they had an agreement with Kanu when such never happened. Okezie Ikpeazu is a mass murderer cited at the ongoing case review by ICC at the Hague. He is also indicted in ongoing law suit in the USA. He has been rejected by the public along with his other Fulani Islamic servants at Government Houses across the South East, so lying against Mazi Nnamdi Kanu or using his name is the only way to gain relevance and sympathy. Anybody who believes in anything coming out of the mouth of an Igbo governor or Nnia Nwodo led Ohaneze Ndigbo needs psychiatric help.

“Okezie Ikpeazu failed to understand that the highly respected and foremost constitutional lawyer Prof. Ben Nwabueze was at the meeting between Nnamdi Kanu and Igbo governors which he Okezie Ikpeazu did not attend. We ask between Okezie Ikpeazu and Prof Ben Nwabueze who has more credibility? The truth about how Igbo governors and Nnia Nwodo out of petty envy and jealousy of the popularity and public acceptance of Nnamdi Kanu arranged for Hausa Fulani soldiers to use the cover of Operation Python Dance to assassinate him is well known to the world.

“Okezie Ikpeazu should keep his testimony and evidence with him because he will soon be called upon to give account of his role in the military invasion and abduction of Nnamdi Kanu and his parents from their home. We are placing the world on notice that Okezie Ikpeazu have never met with our leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu despite the fact that Umuahia government house sits on his ancestral land and his father the traditional ruler.

“Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu is an unrepentant liar in the mould of other Igbo Biafra traitors before him. The day of reckoning is fast approaching and when that arrives, there will be no amount of Ghana Must Go bags or Hausa Fulani soldiers to defend them.”

PoliticsOkezie Ikpeazu's Interview With BBC: Nnamdi Kanu Behaves Like A Chameleon by AmadiAba(op): 8:07am On Feb 21, 2018
Abia state governor, Okezie Ikpeazu has said that Nnamdi Kanu, who is the leader of Indigenous People of Biafra lies too much and equally worse than a chameleon.

Ikpeazu stated this during an interview with British Broadcasting Cooperation, Igbo(BBC) monitored from IGBERE TV studios.

The governor also said that Nnamdi Kanu speaks from both sides of his mouth as he never consulted him before taking any action. He equally said that Igbos do not want Nigeria to break up as they are ready to rule the country when the time comes.

In his words

''Nnamdi Kanu hates South East governors, he does not want to associate with us despite the love we have for him.

''Whenever you talk with Nnamdi Kanu, he always speaks from both sides of his mouth, he is not a straightforward person ''

''He never consulted me before taking any action, although we all agreed that Igbos are being marginalised but we should sit down and discuss the way out '' he said.

Governor Okezie Ikpeazu agreed that Igbos are being marginalised but don't have guns to go to war if it should break out.

According to him, ''it's true that Igbos are being marginalised but how can we get to the promise land? Who will lead the Igbos to the promise land? Do we have enough guns if war should break out''?

The governor equally said that the Igbos want Nigeria to be united more than the Yorubas, Fulanis, etc.

Igbere TV recalls that Nnamdi Kanu has not been seen since last year when soldiers raided his house in Abia state.

PoliticsIkpeazu Manipulated ASHA To Sack Umuahia N Chair Over Deductions In LG Funds by AmadiAba(op): 5:26pm On Feb 19, 2018
How Gov Ikpeazu Allegedly Manipulated ASHA to Sack Umuahia North Chairman Over Fraudulent Deductions of LG Funds

Information reaching IGBERE TV from a reliable source has disclosed the real reasons why Honourable Chidiebere Nwachukwu the embattled Council Chairman of umuahia North was suspended by the Abia house of assembly.

Information reaching IGBERE TV from a reliable source has disclosed the real reasons why Honourable Chidiebere Nwachukwu the embattled Council Chairman of umuahia North was suspended by the Abia house of assembly.

Our source, a member of the Abia State House of Assembly (ASHA), who spoke to us on condition of anonymity, said that they acted on the orders of the governor. He said that since Honourable Nwachukwu was elected into ALGON at the federal level, he began to seek for full release of their allocation so as to offset salaries of council workers and also to deliver on the promises they made to their constituents during the election.

Honourable Nwachukwu also intimated his fellow chairmen on the need to work against the governor's 2nd term ambition if the governor continues to hold on to their money and keeps on releasing less than 20% of what is due to them from JAC, stating that what is being given to them is never enough to service their office talk more of undertaking infrastructural development in their LGAs.

The governor on getting to know about this secret meeting held with selected council bosses decided to use some members of the house that are close to him to ensure that he is removed from office.

Some LGA workers in the state are being owed between 4 to 7 months salaries.

Meanwhile, the Abia State House of Assembly (ASHA) has denied the allegation that they were manipulated by the governor to sack Honourable Nwachukwu.

Speaking to Abia Facts Newspaper, the Honorable Member Representing Umuahia North State Constituency Honorable Kelechi Onuzuruike said “the suspension of Umuahia North Local Government Area Chairman, Hon. Chidiebere Nwachukwu, was due to a petition of financial misappropriation sent to the House of Assembly by an Indigene of Ibeku in Umuahia. ASHA is an independent body and we cannot be manipulated by anybody, including the governor.”

Recall that few weeks ago, there was a newspaper report alleging widespread fraud involving the state government in the running of LGA funds. The story, which was published in a local newspaper circulating mainly in Umuahia the State Capital, alleged its investigation revealed that the Councilors were been owed backlog of salaries and allowances.

The story which was published on the page 15 of the newspaper on February 5, 2018, also revealed that LGA councilors in the state were being fraudulently under-paid N89, 000 against their statutory allocation of N189,000 monthly salary.

The story, with a screaming headline: ‘Abia LGA Councilors elected under PDP Turns to Hunters and Beggars’, also stated some of the Councilors are now on the run because of the loans they collected to execute their elections campaigns, which they are unable to service. It accused the Councilors of inability to execute projects in their various political wards due to lack and no payment of their statutory allowances.

As at the time of this report, all efforts to get the reaction of the governor proved abortive as phone calls and sms sent to the State Commissioner for Information, John Okiyi kalu and the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Enyinnaya Appolos were neither picked nor replied.

PoliticsUrban Renewal Committee Calls For Ikpeazu's Sack Over Infrastructural Decay(pics by AmadiAba(op): 2:51pm On Feb 17, 2018
The latest call is coming from Aba Urban Renewal Committee. The committee expressed sadness over the media tour recently organised by the governor, describing it as a sham and deliberate ploy to deceive the world while the true situation in Abia points contrary.

According to the committee “the governor spent humongous amount inviting journalists outside the state as a public relations gimmick while we the residents know what is truly on ground. If the governor had channeled the resources to tackling infrastructure decay and total lack of it, it would have been an effort worth the while”.

They describe as a sad example the popular Orji Uzor Kalu bridge along Emelogu bypass in Aba which they said is a death trap. The committee went further to advise the governor not to allow the goodwill that heralded his election into office to fizzle away, calling on him to deliver the dividends of democracy to the people especially in the area of infrastructure improvement and urban renewal or he should forget about his 2nd term ambition.

PoliticsLeadership Without Integrity: The Many Scams Of Gov. Ikpeazu by AmadiAba(op): 2:50pm On Feb 16, 2018
Integrity is a virtue not acquired through education, positioning or wealth, but by sheer strength of Character, most often, we have seen highly educated men and women from privileged and noble backgrounds whom we look upto in the society display such characters that falls short of any atom of nobleness that one begins to wonder if actually he/she deserves the position he/she occupies.

If anyone has followed the campaign trail of Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu down to his early days of governorship, such a person will discover that the governor has made a number of promises that he has failed to keep.

Top on the list of such unkept promises is the payment of salaries of Abia civil servants on the 24th of every month which he never kept for over two years after he was sworn in as governor, he ended up with a record of being the worst governor Abia has ever produced when it comes to salary payment

Again, In a meeting with the retired civil servants in November 2016, you had promised to look after the pensioners and pay them as at when due, today Abia pensioners are being owed between 11 to 18 months resorting to the elder statesmen often taking to the streets to protest and demand for their due entitlements.

Dr. Ikpeazu had promised to build a modern abattoir in Aba so as to stop butchers from further polluting the waters and the environment through the dropping of animal wastes and burning of tyres into the atmosphere thereby causing pollution and health risks but two years+ down the line that promise went the way of other promises he made to Abians.

Shortly after assumption of office Governor Ikpeazu promised that his government will not collect taxes from traders in aba due to the pitiable state of infrastructure in various markets located within aba until the infrastructural challenges which had scared traders and customers away from commercial town has been addressed, today everybody knows the state of infrastructure in those markets and the government had gone ahead to introduce and impose multiple of taxation on the traders.

As at December 2016 immediately after the swearing in of the 17 elected council chairmen Dr. Ikpeazu charged them to identify three projects in each ward within their various LGA,s that will receive urgent attention from the state government through them that promise was never kept and in his usual mannerism, till date, and no reason given for not keeping to his promise

As at February 2017, governor Ikpeazu also promised to do a 10 kilo meter asphalted road in each of 17 LGA,s that made up Abia state, typical of his style he again asked the 17 council bosses to identify and submit to him the roads which they will like to be done within their LGA, needless to let you into the joy and applause that greeted such pronouncement, and how the chairmen sprang into action, but till date that promise ended not being fulfilled just like others before it.

He promised to enhance security and introduce motorized policing which was applauded by all including the opposition, but shortly afterwards the police vehicles disappeared and he ended up restricting our movements between 6am to 7pm, while kidnapping, armed robbery and all forms of criminality went on the increase.

He promised to stop touting by creating jobs that will gainfully engage Abia youths, but three years down the line, Motor Park touting (Agbero) has become the only line of employment open to Abia youths thereby turning them into agents of extortion in the guise of revenue enforcement and  the local government service commission was turned to a criminal enterprise that extorts money from the unemployed though purchase of false employment forms.

My Governor may be you have forgotten, let me refresh your memory, Shortly after assuming office you promised to clear the streets off the praise singing billboards that littered the length and breadth of the state capital but two years and a few months after, under your watch those billboards are back, even in front of the government house creating the same scene that you promised not to tolerate under your administration.

Governance demands integrity and trust, while Integrity is a vital ingredient in leadership, it therefore becomes difficult to believe in trust deficient leadership and any government that lacks the basic trust of the people will not make any meaningful progress, my Governor I must be open and bold enough to tell you that your volume of unfulfilled promises is making the people lose trust and faith in your leadership, and it’s difficult for  any leader who had displayed lack of capacity in promise keeping to enjoy the trust and confidence of his subjects.

On point!

Countersam:
Ikpeazu has shown that he is not different from his predecessors,he is after a second tenure at whatever expense. Remember he spent a fortune o state resources in his legal battle.

Abians hailing whatever meagre achievements OVI claims to have should visit neighbouring Ebonyi to mention the least, alot of roads awarded within Aba were done twice because of lack of proper research on contract terrain, double expenses for willful foolishness.

Abia people should please wake up,he does not deserve a second term. Refuse to keep operating at the base /low level we are known for.

Its not a party affair anymore, we need someone with the capacity to reform Abia.

Despite Owing 8months Salary, Ikpeazu Spends Over N500m To Inspect Uncompleted & Non Existent Projects; Media Executives Disappointed (See Photos)

Information reaching IGBERE TV has it that Abia State Government led by Governor Okezie Ikpeazu allegedly spent above Five Hundred Million Naira (N500M) to host the Abia Media Tour that held few days ago, this N500M was spent on the media jamboree despite the salary backlogs in the state.

Based on our interaction with one of the Governor Okezie Ikpeazu’s highly valued media professional from Lagos who wants to remain anonymous, he described the media jamboree as a waste of Abia State scares resources considering that the so-called projects inspected were low leveled and does not match with other projects executed by even nearby state like Ebonyi state.

“These projects are obviously child’s play with what other state have executed, just go to Ebonyi state and see the wonders Umahi has done and he has not called for a media tour. But, your governor being a local champion, called a media tour to showcase few completed roads and so many uncompleted badly constructed jobs. He just wasted Abia State resources, and I can tell you it will not go far” he said.

When we asked him averagely the worth of the of the media tour, he has this to say;

“I cannot really say, I was paid some few millions to come and see the projects and my station will be paid millions to aired it, I am aware that the PDP National Chairman also came and participated in the tour, I saw other prominent individuals from Abia State in the tour. I will place the tour at about N500M, if not more considering the activities I saw. I was paid money in advance, my flight ticket paid for, my hotel room paid for and I was still given money to go back. I see all these as waste of Abia State resources because these projects are not worth to be showcased for now” he concluded.

Based on the information gathered by Abia Facts Newspaper, more than 150 traditional rulers from all over Abia State were invited for the tour, PDP national executive council relocated to Abia State, close to 100 clergymen were invited and so many notable Abians from all works of life and they were all paid ahead, though not all invitees attended.

All of these people were accommodated in hotels in Umuahia and given logistics allowances which ran into millions of Naira.
One of Ikpeazu’s close aides revealed to our correspondent that his boss spent over N800M for the media tour, adding that the expenditure is justifiable because, “people need to see the wonders Ikpeazu is doing in Abia state.”

Just recently, Abia State Teachers lifted their strike due to backlog of unpaid salary which are yet to be paid. , Abia State Teaching Hospital workers are owed for 7 Months; Abia Poly, LGA Staff, Pensioners and many other Abians are still being owed for between 4 to 8 months. Yet, the governor, who is seeking for a 2nd term has spent a whooping sum over N500M for media tour, is this wise?
