The police in Lagos yesterday gave an insight into how Credit Switch Chairman, Chief Ope Bademosi, was allegedly stabbed to death by his Togolese cook at his Park View home in Ikoyi, Lagos.

The cook, who was only identified by his first name, Sunday, had been declared wanted by the police.

He allegedly murdered his boss on October 31, three days after he was brought from Ondo.

NAN gathered that the deceased’s wife had gone to the bank when the cook carried out the act and only came back to find her husband in a pool of blood.

According to a police source, the suspect had turned up the sound system to the loudest volume while he stabbed his victim in his chest multiple times.

“After committing the act, the suspect went to the toilet and pulled off his white cook uniform as it had been stained with blood.

“He also left the knife he used inside the toilet,” the police source said.

The source noted that the knife used in perpetrating the act signified that the suspect could be an ex-military man.

“Again, we went through his things and found some old pictures of him putting on a camouflage belonging to Republic of Benin military,” he added.

The suspect, after committing the act, ransacked the apartment and stole huge amount of money, valuables such as jewellery and a phone.

The police, in a notice issued to declare the cook wanted, said actions have been taken to apprehend him.

A Japanese Princess, Ayako has married a commoner, Kei Moriya on Monday at a traditional ceremony, and has become the latest female royal to leave Japan's imperial family.

The 28-year-old princess, the third daughter of Emperor Akihito's late cousin Prince Takamado, tied the knot with Kei Moriya, a 32-year-old employee of shipping company Nippon Yusen.

The princess wore a many-layered court kimono and molded hairdo typical of the imperial aristocracy, while the groom wore a black tuxedo with grey trousers for the ceremony at the shrine dedicated to the spirit of her great-grandfather, Emperor Meiji.

"I'm filled with joy to get married and to have so many people visit us at the Meiji Shrine and congratulate us,” Princess Ayako told a news conference after the private Shinto wedding ceremony.

Princess Ayako had to renounce her imperial status because she married a commoner, as is the practice for women under Japan's succession law.

She will become Ayako Moriya after signing marriage papers later Monday.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has published the forms and particulars of political parties’ candidates submitted for 2019 general elections at its offices across the federation.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) report that in Abuja the list were displayed outside the INEC Federal Capital Territory office for the purpose of claims and objections.

NAN reports that the number of the presidential candidates could not be ascertained as the commission was still photocopying and pasting the forms and particulars in batches as at 8.20 p.m., on Thursday.

A senior officer of the commission said what the commission did was publication of forms and particulars for objection, and not lists of candidates.

The sources said that list of the nominated candidates would be published by Jan. 17, 2019 as stipulated by INEC in elections timetable.

Another sources said that the number of political parties that submitted forms for presidential election was more than 70.

The particulars of the presidential candidates already pasted included,
President Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and that of his Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo.

Also published was particulars of Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and that of his running mate, Peter Obi.

Others include Dr Obadiah Mailafia presidential candidate of African Democratic Congress (ADC) and Prof. Tanimowo Nasiru as running mate.

Also on the list was Donald Duke of the Social Democratic Party and Junaid Mohammad as running mate.

The particulars of 22 candidates for one FCT Senatorial District seat and 24 candidates for two FCT House of Representatives seats was among those pasted on Thursday night.

Those contesting for the Senate include Sen. Zaphaniah Jisalo, APC; Sen. Philip Aduda, PDP; Esther Audu, ADC; and Eric lbe, Social Democratic Party.

Those for the House of Representatives (AMAC-Bwari) are Lamorde Hallilu, APC; Micah Jiba, PDP; and Ene Idoko-Abel, ADC.

The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress in Imo State, Uche Nwosu, on Sunday said President Muhammadu Buhari would win massive votes in the South-East in 2019 despite the decision of the PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, to pick his running mate from the geopolitical zone.

Even while on her menstrual flow, 20-year-old Seun Ajila Fionna, said to be a virgin, was raped and stabbed severally by her assailant in the home of her 60-year-old mother in Akure, Ondo State capital.

20-year-old Seun Ajila Fionna reportedly struggled with her killer before she was stabbed severally with the knife the killer allegedly picked from the kitchen in the house last week.

The grieving mother, Yemisi Ajayi, is calling for justice, saying the death of Seun should not be swept under the carpet.

She also points accusing finger at her daughter’s boyfriend who is in police custody as principal suspect.

The killer reportedly either came into the flat through the back door that was unlocked when the victim’s mother left the house that Thursday evening or he knocked the door and was ushered into the apartment by Seun.

The killer, who probably came purposely to rape her, could not be dissuaded by the blood stained menstrual pad she had in her private part but nonetheless had his way.

Vanguard was informed that the families of the victim and the suspect have been friends for over seven years and attended same church until the suspect’s father established his own church.

Family sources confirmed that the victim was stabbed on her neck, abdomen and close to her private part ostensibly while struggling with her killer at the mother’s home located around Sunday Bus Stop, Odo ljoka area of Akure.

The noodles she had reportedly prepared to eat and a glass of water were said to have been found on the table in the apartment.

In what looked like a perfect plan, her killer reportedly waited for her mother to leave the house before striking.

The knife with which the victim was stabbed, a blood stained underwear and a menstrual pad were discovered under the mattress inside the room where her lifeless body was found by her mother.

The victim was said to be a virgin while a source said that she had declined sexual advances from the principal suspect since they started dating in January.

This had reportedly caused friction between them in June to the extent that the victim’s mother had to intervene and told the boyfriend to allow her daughter be until they get married for sex to happen.

The victim also reportedly expressed fear that she wanted to opt out of the relationship because she suspected that the boyfriend may have joined a gang of online fraudsters. But he denied this even before the victim’s mother but allegedly confessed that some of his friends were fraudsters.

Family sources told Vanguard that Seun’s mother impressed it on the suspect not to trouble her daughter anymore on his sexual demand.

The suspect was alleged to have insisted on his demand until they parted for a while but later reunited after he reportedly promised to wait until they get married for sex.

Her mother was said to have alleged that the suspect called her twice on the day Seun was murdered asking from her where she (the mother) was.

Detectives were allegedly also informed that, on the day the victim was murdered, the suspect called one of his friends to inform him that Seun was dead.

On how the lady was killed, it was learnt that the “mother returned from work and met her daughter’s lifeless body on the floor of her apartment in the pool of her blood”

Police spokesperson in Ondo State, Femi Joseph, confirmed the arrest of the boyfriend of the deceased, identified as Adejimola Ebenezer, and the commencement of investigation into the rape and murder.

However, in an interview, the suspect denied killing the victim. He said that there was a break in their relationship few months back because of some issues but later reunited just of recent.

The suspect said he could not have killed her because they had no issues that would have led him to committing such dastardly act of murder.

It was gathered that post mortem examination on the corpse of the deceased would be carried out this week to determine the cause of death.

Akinwunmi Ambode, governor of Lagos state, has publicly spoken for the first time since he lost the governorship primary election of the the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Ambode just ended his live press conference which was scheduled for 2:30pm, today.

Ambode who was defeated in yesterday's primary election, thanked Lagosians and party members, congratulated Babajide Sanwo-Olu and promised to work with him to move the state forward.

Babajide Sanwo-Olu, a former commissioner in the state, beat the governor to the 2019 ticket.

Sanwo-Olu was backed by influential party leaders in the state, including Bola Tinubu, a former governor of the state.

Sanwo-Olu polled 970,851 votes while the governor had 72,901 votes.

American rapper, Kanye West has revealed his dad Ray West’s cancer was in remission and in honor of his recovery, the father and son duo ate bugs.

“Overcome fear,” Kanye captioned an Instagram photo showing the insects.

“My dad and I are going to eat this plate of bugs to celebrate him beating cancer. No more fear,” Kanye added.

Kanye and Ray appeared to be munching down on a plate of sauteed crickets.

A couple were disappointed to day after they couldn't legally get married because of NLC strike which began today.

According to the man who spoke to BBC, they got to the venue by 6:15am this morning but weren't allowed inside.

One week after calling him out, Shola Ogudu, Wizkid's first baby has revealed she is now free and her happiness is back in full.

A female tenant got hot water poured on her allegedly by her landlady because of N370 electricity bill, according to a Facebook user.

The incident happened yesterday morning in Urua Ekpa, Akwa Ibom state.

"This is what the so called landlady did to one of her tenant yesterday morning, at Urua ekpa by high tension. Just bcoz of #370 nepa bill....... ���"

This fame isn't easy but i know you would have made it easier because a call from you always solved a lot for me. I really don't know how to feel today. I had gone to one or two places but i knew deep down i was feeling wierd since i woke up. People around me were beginning to notice till i figured it out. It's your birthday princess. You are not here with me but you are in my heart. I promised to always love and remember you. I always will. I remember making this video when i felt you were just asleep and i was praying you'll just wake up and ask for corfiliks (cornflakes). Martha, a Banking and Finance graduate of the institution, observing her NYSC in Niger State, was reportedly visiting a friend who just graduated, when she was caught up in the tragic event that occurred after a fight broke out at a bar at Judges quarters, Ekpoma.
