Blogger Linda Ikeji's online reality show, Made in Gidi has been receiving some backlash since the release two days ago.

Some people are complaining about the content of the show, some are complaining about it being a scripted show, some are complaining about obscenity etc.

Well, the soon-to-be mum has addressed this and said the show obviously is not for everyone and has a targeted audience.

She wrote;

For TV content, the majority of people want to be entertained more than they want to educated or inspired. If they are looking for inspiration & information they know where to go, for entertainment, they also know where to go, that's why TV networks compete hard to get these consumers & keep them on their platforms by creating content that is very entertaining.

When TV network Starz wasn't doing well, they created Spartacus that had more sex & gore than any TV show before it & immediately went to No.1. HBO created Games of Throne which had a lot of sex and gore to take their own market share. After being around for 25 years, MTV created Jersey Shore which many called trash but till today, it's their most watched series of all time. Fox created Empire and Starz created Power to rival Empire, which is all about money, sex, drugs, power etc. These people know what the viewers want, so they give it to them to stay in business.

If everything we have on LITV is to educate the youths etc, 80% of the people who have registered won't be there. Think about it, is there any religious or educative TV show that's gone viral all over the world? How did you meet Soji and how long have you guys been dating?

I met Soji in Lagos. I have known his mother for like 5 years because I have worked with her in quite a few projects, so based on that relationship, I got to know the rest of the family members, which includes Soji, his brothers, and his father. We started dating in 2016 when I graduated from the college and went to Lagos for my NYSC.

Why is Soji so special?

He is everything I ever prayed for in a man. He is very calm and very disciplined. He is religious as well, not in terms of being self-righteous or being a fanatic, but he respects God and upholds the biblical principles and so I was drawn to all those qualities. Most importantly, he knows how to say “I’m sorry” when he is in the wrong and when he is in the right. We also have communication about everything, because communication they say, is the most essential in any relationship and so we communicate a lot.

What is the most expensive accessory you will be wearing for your wedding?

This is the most expensive wedding in my tribe and it is called the IYA marriage. It is the most expensive and the highest in the land because it is the king that gives you out, so everything I am wearing is expensive.

Can you give an estimate of what the wedding cost in terms of preparation?

The preparation cost over 10 million because this house as you can see is still being re-painted. There was a lot of renovation and everything. You will get to see more in porthacourt. I’m sure you are seeing a lot of security presence, making sure everyone is fine. You have also seen the caliber of people coming in.

Nigerian Mum Of Popular IG Twins Reveals Her Husband Is Not Their Biological Dad

The Nigerian mum of popular McClure twins has revealed that her husband, Justin is not their biological father.

Aminat made this revelation on their  family’s YouTube page, after the family was put under fire since old racists tweets of her husband, Justin resurfaced on the Internet.

A few followers of the McClures began asking questions after the matriarch of the family addressed Justin’s racist tweets from 2011.

His old comments resurfaced a few weeks ago when one inquisitive social media user decided to look into the McClure Family’s Twitter account, which was converted from Justin’s personal account when the twins’ popularity grew.

Ami has now addressed some of the rumours.

“Justin adopted the girls, he is their dad, he is the only dad they have ever known, and he will be the only dad they have ever known.” She said in the video.

Justin also shared a photo from 2016 when he officially adopted the girls.

Ami revealed she was married in 2012, and she left when she was pregnant with the twins because the marriage was a toxic and abusive one.

Ghanaian hip hop recording artist, Sarkodie has secretly married his girlfriend of 13 years, Tracy Sarkcess.

The marriage ceremony held on Tuesday, 17 July 2018.

Sarkodie and his management made sure not even a single picture was taken by guests at the wedding.

His manager, Angel Town reportedly searched each guest to make sure nobody came inside with a mobile phone.

A Nigerian man and his wife who have been holding 9 Nigerian women in sexual slavery have been busted in Moscow, Russia.

Some of them were brought to Russia during the 2018 FIFA World Cup, when entry procedures at the border were eased for tourists.

They reportedly go through witchcraft ceremony where they are put under a curse if they do not pay back their madam.

The woman, a former prostitute was also tricked into coming to Russia.

The women believe the couple paid around $50,000 to get them to Moscow, and they work for years by having sex with thousands of clients to pay off their debt.

Activists from both Russia and the United States, committed to eliminating sex trafficking around the world, found the women and tried to convince them to leave.

The women finally agreed to leave, but the price for their 'freedom' turned out to be too high.

Deportation would likely mean the couple won't be prosecuted

Recall that she received backlash last after her sister, Sandra photoshopped her court wedding photo and posted on Instagram.

Laura has now talked about how that day went. She wrote;

"My husband was gonna travel that same morning after the court wedding so we had to be fast at everything, I had my reg morning sickness so wasn't feeling so good, then I found out that morning that I couldn't wear my beautiful white dress from bibilawrence cos the court does not allow halter necks, so I quickly called my sister Sandra to bring me this particular dress which was very nice btw pics didn't do justice, disappointment no1. Everything that morning was just not really working but we got married! Today, eight families showed up for DNA test in connection with the Otedola Link Bridge explosion which result to a wild fire that killed 12 people on June 28, 2018.

Head of the Lagos State DNA and Forensic Centre, Dr Richard Somiari, has however said that more families were still expected to visit the facility in connection with the deadly explosion.

"There are two categories of people that come for the testing, those who believe strongly that their family members died and need to be identified. The other category includes people who just do not know because the family person is missing. So, we will expect that those two categories of people will come” he said.

Somiari said that the duration needed to complete the DNA process and results interpretation could not be ascertained because of protocols that must be followed, due to the magnitude of the accident. According to him, there are two processes involved, including the actual DNA matching and the process by the pathologist, who takes samples from the remains that were recovered.

“The actual process in our laboratory is fast. The thing is the quality of the sample that is coming from the victim. So, until we get those samples from the pathologist, we do not know how long it will take. If it is significantly degraded, then it means we have to go through multiple steps of isolation and clean up before we do the profile generation. These samples are not as clean as reference samples and we do not want to make a mistake in the process. We realise that everybody will like to get the result fast and bring a closure to this but at the same time we want to be careful“ he said.

British journalist and TV personality, Piers Morgan insulted a Nigerian in pidgin English as they argued about the match between Nigeria and Argentina.

During the World Cup game, Piers didn't agree with the VAR when the machine gave Nigeria a penalty kick after Leon Balogun was fouled.

Pierce said the VAR had failed and there was no way that was a penalty because it was the Nigerian player who leaned in and dived.

Piers tweeted:

But a Nigerian felt he was being biased and called him out.
