courtesy demands such, maybe you hav me mistaken with someone, a saying says person wey de find road de ask questions no de quick loss. permitt me to see from your point of view...... i bolded the gray areas i have in your view pls educate me with responses....with every incident there most be an ulterior motive or careless error human error that caused it...lets assume its a grenade as seen frm damage... are grenades or what ever service device that would cause such damage, standard carry on weapon? then he signed it out prom the amoury for which duty? at the school? why was he denied entry if dat be the case. but i know of cases even on the news of servise men still in active duties using there influence, authority... to aid ulterior motives(pls udate yourself on incidences in bombing cases in jos years back....) what if his aim was not to cause damage but send a statement of terror to the populace? remember different explosive devices are created for diff damage and intentions( God forbid had that thing exploded with innocent kids would you have been saying leave him alone he is a force man?.... why did he run when he was denied access?) pls forgive my epistle....

Admitting error is a sign of maturity and advancement. I have a reservation about the possibility of teargas causing such extensive damage. From years of study, the injury of that man looks very much like one that a grenade could cause. Looking at the injury, one can postulate that such explosion (considering it was even on his body) cannot do much damage to others that arent very close. Hence, a more powerful explosion might be needed if the aim of the man was to cause vast damage. And considering he is a force man, there have been close to zero case of force men using suicide vest to terrorize there citizens, the cases we do hear about are of rogue force men that turn their guns on civilians.
So in this case, going with logic, it appears this incident was really an accident.
My point us that, in Nigeria we should learn to gauge things and give corresponding , needed and adequate reactions to things. We should refrain from crying wolf...we all can be burnt

It was not a suicide bomber, do you know wat damage it would have caused curious kids in a primary school not even looking from the outrage it would generate. For him to be assigned with tear gas canisters means he was on duty... Was he posted to the school? Does he have a ward in the school? Was there a distress he was responding to?

I really believe there is more untold with this incident, why did he run if no ulterior motives.... what did a police man go to do in a school if has no appointment with or distress call made? it requires a gun to rocket it out.
if tear gas canister is shot directly at a person at close range, it would cause blunt force trauma.
it hardly has enough force to cause shattering or exploding effect, much less tear skin and bone apart without initial explosion in a gun.
