I quite agree with lawal4green that promotion and replacement are two different words. In 2012 INEC did promotional exam for its staff. Before the result was out, INEC was accepting application nationwide and even conducted exam before d oral interview for its staff was done. Successful people where giving appointment letter sometimes in November/december 2012. The following year around may 2013 replacement was done visa viz: those who have connection with house of rep members, senators, etc. Even as at April/May 2014 some few replacement was done in INEC

U are absolutely correct. When u less pension, tax n some contribution like dat(assuming he/she is a member of INEC staff cooperative society) it will go down to 70k per month. INEC does not pay that much.

That is not what I mean please. Any other senator or rep can write but for it to be effective he or she must follow it up with calls or visits just like vicope has explained in his earlier post. Without follow up guy it will be hard for it to work out considering the present situation in naija. I am telling u out of experience just within june 2012 to date

The reason why that of chairman, vice and members of committee appear to more effective is that they have oversight in that particular agency or MDAs and as a resulted they r allocated slots specially or slots are reserved for them for some reasons (which are not limited to: they supervise, monitor, defend and in majority have sympathy on the budget presented by agency or MDAs involved

My dear to verify if house committee chairman and vice chairman, senate committee chairman and vice or even members of the committee on interior has upper hand on NIS. Get a letter from any of them (rep or senator in the committee), make sure he or she calls (just to confirm if the letter was received) or forward your name, application number and qualification to Abba Moro, CG of NIS, perm sec ministry of interior or even the director of CDFIPSB. If u don't get this current NIS job, then something is wrong spiritually

I think that's the only way u will believe. Give it a trial and see things for your self

NOTE: not just a single call but plus a reminder always or just a single visit in person (this is the best of all if the rep or senator will accord u such opportunity)

I don't doubt what some guys on this thread are saying about slots. From what I know and have seen, any rep member or a senator can write a recommendation letter to anybody that approach him if he or she wishes to do so (especially if the person is coming from the constituency he or she represent). But not all those letters are honoured most especially if its not followed up my the rep or senator involved. But if the rep or a senator is a chairman, vice chairman or have an oversight in the agency or ministry doing the recruitment, then most of the applicant recommended will be taking (if he recommend large number of people, most times in order of priority or scale of preference ) or all on the list will be taking (if he recommends few applicants). But I believe that any applicant recommended my the senate president and deputy, speaker and deputy, chief whip and deputy, majority leader and minority leader(thought they recommend large number). Tell them ur application number,transaction number nd validation number given to u by d bank(if u r using d email contact) or simply tell dem ur name nd problem den u wl be ask for ur validation number(if u cal via phone). Just wait on day wen they will ask u to go bak to print ur slip. If u go dat day u wl print it. It happen to me

There is nothing special. Its just a sheet of paper containing ur application,transaction nd validation number(which u want) plus some little info abt pay4me. Some banks wil just write d validation number wit a biro on acknowledgment slip u came wit to d bank. U can pay in any of d bank as advertised. As for d exam I dnt hav any concrete information

I paid the 1000 today for the NIS form in sterling bank when I tried printing the acknowledge slip I was told its not yet ready, that I should wait for up to two working days for complete processing of my payment and try printing again. Though I will wait till friday to know if it will go. Anyone with similar experience?

I called a frnd in immigration hq in abuja, and he told me that nothing is going on for now. So I wonder where this noisy list is coming out from.

amaralizzy since u have given money to your agent I think there is no need collecting back. Though things appear not to be the way it use to be now, the agent might still help at a future time when the going will be good. Mine was september last year. My agent even requested me to get a letter from a senator or rep to make it easy for him and I did but yet nothing good happened. Apart from agent I took other means to get things right but I didn't work out. I was tired of every day this and that so I zero my mind about the stuff. Just be patient, its one of those things we faced via under G nd agent runs. Its well
