WOW!!!! You Guys are killing it softly . . . .  grin grin grin grin
SPRUMBABA! AND Mahabone
I can't agree more with you guys. . . .

Below are some few pics of my Kitchen tiles.

For some reason the grout are not perfectly on same line.

Reason 1: the Decor I used is a bit bigger than the tile.
Reason 2: The tiler like I complained earlier is not that good. So I couldn't risk asking him to cut
the decor to the size of the tile as the difference is very small and he would for sure cut it roughly.

So I manage it. So guys, please bear with me. This is my first project and I'm just doing everything to make it look  wink wink wink

Having read all the comments and seeing the pictures, I must say that the tiler did not do a bad job.I will love to see the finished work after the "white cement"aka grout has been put on the tiles to fill the spaces. It is going to make the tiles come out a lot better.Let us give it to this guy.He may not be perfect and needs some more detailing training, but he don try.
I am still waiting on you to give me the phone # of your #1 tiler out of them all. I hail you Oluwa Champion.Go on soun my broda.

@ Casemoney and Sprumbaba,

I am very certain I don't know anything about tilling compared to what you guys are said up there!!!!!

You know what? Most of all the tiles I saw online and in most of the movies I've seen, the grout(if i'm right) in-between the tiles are always filled with white cement or so.

Same thing applies to our locally made tile works around here. They are always filled with white cement. . . .

I will post pictures soon of what I mean. Please guy abeg make orna enlighten me small abeg

@Am Alone
I will like to correct you that Casey was right. You should not claim you know it all. You also have not done your research very well.  There are 2 types of Cut inTiles:

1. Rectified
2. Un-rectified Tiles

Both type of cuts need spacers but rectified could use the thinnest grout and thinnest spacer.

Furthermore, in Naija, we dont know the difference between Porcelain tiles and Ceramic tiles, Tile Na Tile. The line you are calling is what they call Grout lines . The norm is to march your grout line with the color of your Tiles not just white cement on brown tiles.
If you need a book on Tiling I can send one to you to guide you in doing your tiling project.
I supervise custom flooring projects and Import them as well.
I purposely placed this 3 tiles together for you to see. The 2 with closed edge is Rectified, while the other one with space (That has a gap) is un-rectified.

Hey man!!!! Okay, Now I get it. Thank you very very very very much!!!
I say so because you atleast know what you are talking about. Atleast
I really enjoy your post. Not like saying I know it all. I don't believe. But doing what I think I know man. . . .

But you know this is Naija. Most of the things you talking about there is not available or not very comon here(just saying)

@Gtrust

How far with the money, I will do that tomorrow.
But to say a few, so far spent is around 8m(I exclude the cost of the old roof and omonile and approval fees)

-----------------
Even the bellow tile work joints is almost invisible
doesn't make the tilling poor jor

Hi Am alone, you've done a good job. congrats.

I just have a few questions, I just like to know the plot size, procedures (survey, plan, foundation, building etc) and cost estimate, if you dont mind. my addy is adigunbabatunde@yahoo.com. any helpful info will do. I intend to embark on similar project in about 3 months.

Bros I will send the cost estimate to you inbox and the survery plan.
But for all to see, I think the total cash that will finish my house is 12 to 13m

That is my total calculation:
With no hidden cost. As in it includes, the omonile fees, survey plan, money paid for approval and
will also include the paving of the compound, the furnishes(wardrobe, kitchen cabinet, plates an all other)
It also includes my electronics as I will be buying expensive once. For example the TV I am buying for the
sitting room is around 650k( 55" LED 3D tv) and the latest home theatre, frigde is around 350k, gas is around 200k(industrial with 6 burners)
kitchen extractor which I've bough 75k(touch screen). and every every sha!!!!!! 13m

Its a thing of choice

Properties / Re: The Finishing Of My House (Oluwa Champion) by AmAlone: 7:19pm On Dec 04, 2011
The spaces in between the white toilet wall tiles above is what what I am going to have in mine after the joint are filled.
Again Egin I will show to you some pictures of wall tiles filled with white cement.

egin:

The tiler should have used spacers when setting up the tiles. As for the spaces tell him to use grout with matching color and not cement.
Check the link below on how to install perfect bathroom tiles

Am Alone, the tiles looks good but the tiler did a bad job. In fact, DIY can look better than that. Don't get me wrong, your house looks good but, I would suggest you get good hands for your interior finishing. I hope, you take this as a constructive criticism?

Casemoney first, I must say that your words were just too harsh to say DIY can look better that than. I have take my time to study the work done by the tiler. I agree he is not all that good. But I monitored this work myself and make sure he give me what I want. Like I said before, the tilling is not completed. What is left is for the joints to be filled with white cement with is normal/common. Even at that, you can't say its so bad. Because from what I can see from the picture and at the site, the work is perfect!!!! Wait till I send you more pitures of the finished works.

@ Egin!!!
Sometimes it feel to good to see people stand up for criticisms. . . . Casemoney criticism for me is not constructive as he could not pin-point what exactly is wrong will my tilling. Anyways regarding your claims that spacers were not use. And doing some more research on the matter, I have come to understand that some tiles just like the onces used in my bathroom comes with factory/company fixed spaces. So that no matter how close you lay the tiles there must still be spaces between them. Just like the tiles in my house. Again spacer or no spacer doesn't mean the job is not okay or done right!!!!!! Spaces in-between tiles is a thing of choice and should not be considered as a bad tilling job. Attached are picture of some bathroom and wall tiles done abroad and see for yourself. . . . The black and white below have got now space and the white have got spaces as small as mine!!!!
THANKS GUYS!!!!!!!

This is the tiler I said I will give 2 over 10. For the floor tiles I'm starting tomorrow
I am getting another/a-better-hand to give me a good job.

But for the BAD JOB you are talking about, I can't figure it out from that picture.
And the way you say it - wow!!!!!

Like I said, the tilling is not completed. The finial work will be to fill the joints of the tiles with white cement.

Thanks anyways
