Apart from an affordable land, one thing we all want to consider is the cost of building base on Location.

If we want a cheap land(which is good) to serve our different purposes and also because it can
be more affordable by our fellow NLer's, then I think we should also consider the cost of contruction per area.

For me dry lands will be one of the best place to build our respective houses because it will be cheaper to build
on as we won't need any raft foundation or whatsoever. Again from my experience, cost of building material are
higher around Eleko Free Trade Zone and Ajah compared to Badagry, Ikorodu and ogun state.

So i think we should consider all these factors as well.

I thank you for YOUR GOODNESS, YOUR KINDNESS, YOUR LOVING and YOUR ENDLESS MERCIES in my life. I have seen cases where someone has to loose a leg or both just for YOU(GOD) TO PROVE TO THEM HOW MUCH you truly love them by sparing their lives in same accident, or testimonies of people surviving a plane crash just to show how much YOU (GOD) VALUES them. But my case has always being the win-win situation.

I don’t need YOUR prophets to tell me, I know I don’t have to experience the “horrors” of surviving a plane crash or any fatal accident to be certain. Again, I don’t want to be the world riches man to see how much YOU’VE DONE FOR ME(AS AN INDIVIDUAL). But believe you(brothers) me; I have the finest thoughts in the universe and got the highest grace known to mankind. Through THE-MOST-HIGH I change gold to iron and make hell a paradise. . . .


* Thank YOU GOD for giving me the grace to survives atleast 15 major car accidents without a single scratch. (I have come to understand that I am the apple of thy eyes and like an egg in thy hands.)

* I thank you so much for having me survive an attempted suicide, 4 attempted murder and yet without a single scratche. (DEAR LORD, the road got too rough and that was the only thing I could see).

* For giving your gift of life and having Lekki beach spit me out after attempting to end this good life just few years back.

A student praying to pass his/her exams after studying very hard, how else una wan make she twist her mouth for the prayer?some even add fasting join am. We are human, we can never be perfect, so the idea of past sins or not living right are hard to swallow. Now obviously xtians must live like xtians. I don't expect to fornicate and come here to scream unanswered prayers. I'm talking of true xtians who live in a Christlike manner having unanswered prayers.

I know of a friend in medical school, who laboured for over 7yrs, even repeated one year, I can attest that this guy is clean, no partying, no girlfriend, no alcohol, no smoking etc name it. I'm sure he was a virgin. After almost a decade struggling in med shool, he finally finished his exams, passed, and died. DIED!!!!.
I know of a girl, good xtian girl, lost her parents while strugling in medical school, struggled to graduate, finally graduated, started her internship, you guessed right, and died. Good xtian girl from Edo state.

I've come to the (sometimes painful/sad/but peaceful) conclusion that I may never know how God decides what prayers to answer. I do my bit--> pray. Then Leave matter to God. I follow the scripture " be anxious for nothing, but in all things, through prayer and supplication, make your requests known to God" I may never know how he operates in choosing which prayer to answer. But I have to pray still. This I know
He is God. Has been, and forever will be( wether you like am or not)
He loves me, has always, will always( wether I feel am or not)
He cares( wether I gree or not)
He has plans for me( wether I see am or not)
as long as I remain faithful, in the long run, I will smile and I will understand.

For now it hurts. So I try to get used to it( how do I get used to frustration).
Pray without ceasing, don't let an unanswered prayer stop you from praying again.( failing an exam didn't stop me from reading fo the next afterall)
keep knocking on the door. Pray until something happens( either you die or your request is granted or something bigger than your request happens and you damn your initial request)

God is real. And Every knee shall bow. Those who are using the frustration of Gods children to mock God will one day bow before the throne of God. Wether you like am or not.

You still have to follow the commandments of GOD ALMIGHTY if you want the "ask" to be effective. and you still have to repent
and be baptised and required. The greatest of all the conditions is for one to be "sinless"(as in be of no sin at all - an impossibility).
so we say "sinless"(the other way of it - that is to live with less sign. Since we cannot meet the first citeria!!!!).

Now same bible states in Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of GOD;"

So you can see it all has to do with the mercy of GOD!!!!

So as much as the word "ASK" as quoted by the Bible will be effective, it will only be, depending on our sins - lol!!!!!

My opinion though

President nuclearboy, I think it is only fair to say that we don't always know every outcome or every reason for unanswered prayers (or rather, 'denials') - and there are many instances in life to bear that point out so well. David had a relationship with God, but his fasting and prayers to save his child's life was 'denied' (2 Sam. 12:13-19). Some may argue that a reason was indeed given, such that God denied David's prayers on account of the latter's sin. But it is obvious that his sin was "put away", as Nathan said. Etc., etc., etc.

What happens then today in the situations where some parents lose their newborn kids - where sin or blasphemy is not even in view? I'm talking about Christian parents/couples. I know some deaths that have occured in the lives of very committed and exemplary Christian couples - and nobody to this day knows any 'reason' for the deaths of their young kids.

In other circumstances, some exemplary Christian couples have fasted and prayed for something they so longed for: children. They've been to their GPs and taken all the necessary tests, with results that there's nothing wrong with them to prevent their bearing children. Yet, for all those long years of fasting and praying (with FAITH), plus medical help. . . they still have no children. What do you say to such exemplary Christian couples? That God has a "reason"? And what "reason" is that supposed to be?

The bottom line is that we do not know nor understand the many mysteries of our faith and relationship with God. There are certain situations where we can absolutely be sure that our prayers are unanswered - not 'yes', not 'wait', but a definite NO. Not because it involves sin (some people face unfavourable situations without factoring in sin' - John 9:2-3) , and not because the prayers lacked faith or spiritual knowledge. It would be harum-scarum and slapdash to argue that every prayer is answered, or that we would know the 'reason(s)' for those which are 'denied'. Some we know, others we absolutely have no clue and should not even try to be clever about them. 'We know in part. . . we see through a glass, darkly' (1 Cor. 13:9 &12)

I have taken much of my time myself trying to figure out or answer exactly this same question as you up here.

But I want to clearify something about the boded text up ^. You gave an instance of christain couple longing for child/children. And if I really get your point there, you are they are perfect in their ways/works with God. so why didn't they have issues.

My arguement is;

* Firstly, you are seeing this couple from the outside. You don't know for sure what they may be doing indoors. I've come to understand that the one and only person you cannot deceive is GOD HIMSELF. Me myself, i know what it's like to be a christain. My dear, people can really pretent to say the least. And i
assure you, GOD HIMSELF is the only one you can't fool - at all!!! You are obviously justifying them from the outside. Do you know how many people they have in mind or are planning evil against? Do you know if they also combine juju powers secretly? Do you know if maybe this same people signed some contract with the devil or the man signed a contract with his unborn child for money(and don't want to break it but want a solution from GOD)? How much do you really know about this couple?

* Forthermore, the word of THE MOST HIGH GOD CANNOT BE USED AGAINST GOD OR CAN NOT CONTRACDICT HIM?(the first word always gain the glory!!!!! except the one there-after is a remedy .). Just like the saying "A leprechaun's gold can do him no harm!”  What am saying is that, if GOD ALMIGHTY is not answering you prayers, you need to try change your prayer point by asking things like; "why". Take for instance, curses are also stand against our prayers. Though I don't have the full message and chapter(. . . . . . . . . .  visiting the sins of the fathers upon the third and ourth generations.) This may be some other reasons why prayers are not answered.


Above all, like someone said earlier, sometimes prayers are answered but not the way we want or expect. But some prayer are never answered.
