FA13: I think Japan.
Most people dont understand English here. Taxi man, Shop owners and every common person you will meet day to day dont. If you are a student, some students and staff can, but most are still not comfortable speaking it.
Only few people can. The percentage will be greater in places like Beijing, Shanghai and other international or business environment.
I heard there is a place in Guangzhou that feels like you are in Lagos. I have a friend in Japan, he said in Japan it's worse because nobody will answer you, everybody is minding their business, his neighbour is a Japanese student but they don't talk to him. Language is the greatest barrier. I will only to visit there not school or live. If it's school I may consider Canada. Germany is better but they deliberately don't speak English. |
