I'm a quiet person, I'd say it's weakness (IMO) cause I've had people step on my toes and walk away ...

I made my first dress (A kimono) .. This is shortly after I learnt to thread and paddle the machine (I'm still learning to paddle it tho). It came out well but with rough edges

In retrospect, start watching videos from YouTube immediately, you are learning and it will quicken your desire to get a machine.
You will also be open to jobs that you can subcontract and something in return because of your knowledge.

I have a lot of videos already.. but because I have no machine it's kinda tiring, I can't do so much with needle and thread. If only I can even find a tutor I can start practicing before I get a machine of my own..
