The King Who Resigned Because of a Woman he Loved and married Did you know that Queen Elizabeth II would never have become a queen if her uncle who was the former king Edward VIII had not abdicated and resigned in 1936, thus paving the way for her father George VI to become king? Why did the king resigned? Well, King Edward VIII loved a woman. It turned out that the woman had divorced two times and she was someone with easy virtues. The marriage of a king to a former hook-up artist was considered scandalous and unacceptable by the British people. He chose to abdicate after the British government, public, and the Church of England condemned his decision to marry a woman who has a sexual scandal escapade in China and several other places and who was rumored to have become infertile from her many sexual indiscretion. It was simply unbelievable and unpalatable that a future king-to-be would be getting married to a woman like that. And this caused several protests in London and other places. With no resolution possible, the king renounced the throne on December 10 1936. The next day, Parliament approved the abdication instrument, and Edward VIII’s reign came to an ignoble end. At his abdication, he said: “I have found it impossible to carry on the heavy burden of responsibility and to discharge the duties of king, as I would wish to do, without the help and support of the woman I love.” He later became an outcast. And the hook-up artist of a wife later left him when his health deteriorated... When he died, he was not buried in the royal cemetery. He died a lonely man, in absolute penury. What a sad way to die! Our actions have consequences. By Wikipedia

A yet-to-be-identified young man is currently on the run after allegedly inviting a group of culti$ts to m#rder his father, Oba G.O Olukunle of Gbokoto land in Ogun State. It was gathered that the unfortunate incident occurred on Sunday, September 11, at the monarch’s place in Gbokoto. The command’s spokesperson, SP Abimbola Oyeyemi, in a statement on Monday said six of the culti$ts were arrested while attempting to k#ll the traditional ruler in his palace. He gave the names of the suspects as Michael Ayodele, Monday Samuel, Ademola Matthew, Hammed Jelili, Ogundele Ojeh and Sunkanmi Fadina. “The suspects were arrested following a distress call received at Oja odan divisional headquarters from the Oba of Gbokoto land, Oba G.O Olukunle, at about 4:25 pm, that some culti$ts were about to k#ll him in his palace . Upon the distress call, the DPO Oja- Odan division, quickly mobilized his men and moved to the palace, where they met the hoodlums sh@@ting sporadically within the palace. The policemen engaged them in sh@@tout and eventually subdued the culti$ts and got six amongst them arrested. On interrogation, the arrested suspects confessed been members of the dre@ded Eiye confraternity. They also informed the police that, it was the son of the Oba who is now at large that invited them to come and €limin@te his father because of an unresolved issue the Oba has been having with his mother. Items recovered from them include one locally made double barrel pistol, two live cartridges and one expended cartridge, while the son of the Oba who has taken to flight was said to have escaped with another g#n belonging to the group,” he said.

ONWUASOANYA FCC JONES At the Imo Airport this morning, I saw a scanty and highly unmotivated crowd of people, apparently waiting to welcome Mr President to Imo State. The gentleman driver who took me to the airport, who was equally as disappointed with the turnout as myself, argued that it could be that these could be those coming from Ngor-Okpala, Owerri North and other areas closer to the airport, that maybe, the bigger crowd is still on its way coming from other LGAs of the State. But this didn't cut it for me. When you compare the number of buses parked around, it would be easy to calculate that none of those buses was half full. Some of those buses might have even come empty, just to keep to a contractual agreement. For a better perspective, there were scarcely about 60 people, with less than 20 of them wearing 3R branded clothes, while there was at least 25 buses parked around the presidential wing of the airport, as at the time of my arrival at the airport. Another pointer that this might be another embarrassing outing for the President in Imo is the fact that all the way from Owerri to the airport, there were no signs, apart from some billboards and the presence of some frowning, arms wielding Special Force personnel along the road, to show that we are ready to receive our Commander-in-Chief to the State. The road was frighteningly devoid of any traffic. In fact, we met less than ten other cars from Owerri until we got to the airport. I will be glad to be proven wrong, but if what I saw at the airport this morning is anything to go by, then, this is not going to be an outing the President will be happy with, and it will send a bad message about our governor's acceptability to the same Abuja he is trying to impress. I do not know those charged with the responsibility of hiring crowd for this occasion , but whoever they are, I think the governor needs to request for a refund of whatever money they have been given, unless, they eventually deliver. We need that money to complete some of the ongoing projects in the State, and we won't accept a situation where a few people pocket this money without as much as delivering on their assignment. Sorry, I couldn't take any pictures, for safety reasons.

loko50:another urchin located. Lol |
Patriotsleague:it's not easy to make am bro. |
overseasnbeyond:I have not heard anywhere in Lagos where they did youth empowerment to help the youth indegins of the state. Rather their elite is enriching themselves then play tribal game to redirect their focus on other tribes like their mummy TINUBU WIFE AND OBA OF LAGOS. We Igbo's call out our elite when they are stupid but here in southwest rather they hail them when they drop tokens. We Igbo's don't have respect to dash anybody you must earn it before you receive it. |
Kagd10:Lol, the revenue generated by my people through the federal sea and air port in lagos plus the market revenues are not accounted for. We need to know how our money are been spent. Not one criminal swallowing everything. |
Batam:please don't put talks into my mouth I didn't generalized anything rather I said what I witnessed. I never in any way say all Yoruba's. I only shared what I experienced in Lagos |
