Gboom: It is bittered soul like you that your blood is been drained by politicians. Most of you display ignorance because you hate reality and it will continue to dawn on you. The are so many defaulting individual/companies in Nigeria such that if tax authorities decide to take or seal them up, people like you will shout political witch-hunt, tribal hatred and religious sentiment. What this current government is proposing will reduce the rate of evasion because tax authorities can ask your bank to place a lien on your account until you sort yourself out with them You still don't know what you're saying Are you a taxman?? It is only FIRS and it's officials that can say this They've been remitting huge monies to the government Do you even know they call automation?? That's what the majority of this companies use for their staff If you say the taxes are being mismanaged, maybe it would make sense but that's still government fault But saying Nigerian workers don't pay outrightly na big lie You think everything na just wat your lord and gods tell you, go to the streets, do your findings, every market, every garage, every shop, every house, every company remits something to one government or the other as levy, so where is Nigerians are not paying taxes coming from?? No vex me this evening ooo |
Politics › Re: Nigeria Won’t Get Better For Everybody At The Same Time - Tope Fasua by ambale(m): 4:26pm On Sep 19, 2025 |
Gboom: Stop deceiving majority Nigerians don't pay tax. Even the VAT paid, most companies hardly remit what they collected. I know one man that doesn't remit PAYE he used to deduct from staffs in those days and because his sister was a minister in government then the tax guys cannot do anything to him You don't know what you're saying?? Are you a taxman?? Do you know companies pay taxes and they also enroll their staff to pay tax, infact it's deducted from your salaries straight So the FIRS should explain to us if they think not all persons are paying tax The only ones who don't pay outrightly are the same politicians who you have vowed with your last blood |

Out of 230m population only 3m is paying direct tax Wvich am sure u not even among Where did you get that 3m is paying tax Even those who might not be paying personal income tax are paying VAT Almost all registered companies are paying taxes, levies, even transport workers and market women pay different levies everyday So where is your misinformation coming from? |

Vision101: If you set a target on revenue and you achieve it , what is wrong in announcing it? Don't forget that your budget is deficit. Even if you earn above your budget the implication is that it will help you reduce your deficit. It doesn't give the luxury of reckless spending.
Obi sometimes in an attempt to sound as opposition and look good mocks himself. If there's provision for payment of pensioners it must be in the approved budget. Even if you earn double your target revenue you are not permitted by law to spend outside what is in the law. The best any president can do is to send a supplementary budget to the legislature. Then why was he boasting? He obviously wanted to score cheap political points as always with the backing of mugus like you What's to celebrate in generating revenue when same is not being used for the betterment of the country? |
