Mulatto444:Yea by God's grace and good timing and proactive documents you can make it before then. True, Bounemouth resumption date is 27th Jan. The whole admission took me about 2-3 weeks in Oct. Nonetheless if you apply now with ur required document and transcript ready and sent to them, you could get your offer by end of this month. Then you can apply for visa 2nd week of January, standard could take you around 15 working days or more and this might put you on pressure but still no alarm. However there are options for priority(5days) or Super Priority (24hrs) then you could get your visa earlier than with standard but then this option comes with higher pay. It is paramount to note that you would have to keep the required money in your account for 28 days. To this end, in other to meet up with resumption, your 28 days statement could start counting from this new week if available, its safer. But if you already have the required sum in ur account then no worries. Just face ur admission process Asap, then apply for visa 2nd/3rd week of Jan 2020. Everything is in ur hands and depends on how proactive you are as well as the right and ready documents in other to speed ur application. Start now and you would meet up but if you dont have everything set then wait till sept. Also if it is a 2years course then you are cool but if its 12months then i can advice you wait for Sept intake, but note that most Sept intake is 1yr masters while Jan is 16/18months upwards. My Msc course is 2yrs, Resumes 27 Jan 2020 and ends Jan 2022 (7months placement inclusive) Meanwhile Bounemouth is a nice place and choice. |
Abiscoco:Yea you can print/upload a recent statement same day of your appointment and bring to the Visa appointment center. You can as well print it while feeling ur visa application. Just make sure you have the right figure for required 28 days. |
Zoey1:Lols, thanks Zoey1, their matter tire me o. During that time post study saga resurfaced in Sept, I was even the one that argued and explained to two of their staff that new session starts in September not January. They argued new year new session (i.e 2020/2021 starts in january). Lol. It was their manager that corrected their notion and called to explain further. Most of them are not upto date. Their own is more about helping schools get students. But u see this our nairaland form, as e dey happen we dey get update here. Then it wld be delibererated on. Update! update!!! |
marina101:Okay thanks alot! I appreciate |
Good evening guys. I did my Interview last week Wednesday (28th Nov) at Abuja VAC. That day i got a mail from TLS that my application has been sent to UKVI descision making center. But then today i got a mail from Visa office Sheffield stating that my online application has been received at the UK Decision Making Centre in Sheffield. I called BCIE, the agency i used and a lady was of the view that my 15 days should start counting from today that sheffied confirmed receiving my application. Does that mean that the earlier 5days from my application date is gone? And a fresh count starts today sheffied mailed me. Am confused bcs 5 days plus 15 working days wld make it total of 20days of wait. |
dannycrane77:Yes you need a Bank reference letter. This goes to prove you are the owner of the account you provided. Besides it takes about 3-5mins to process this letter. And for first bank it costs about 500 naira. To make things smooth, whenever you print ur bank statement do it alongside ur Reference letter from the bank. Its very easy, same officer handles both same time. Just fill ur details and that of the Embassy or office address. Furthermore if your parents are the ones sponsoring you then when they print their bank statement they should do so with the Bank Reference letter. It is as easy and swift as printing the bank statement. Goodluck! |
mogatti:Hmmmm you have a point though. |
piazon:Thank you, i just checked it.

Makkykiki:Wow, even after the reconfirmation. I think maybe they want people to enter after the xmas. Did you apply with priority or standard how long did it take? Anyway i think this is to favour you as your family can now apply and you guys can leave together. |
justwise:Thanks alot Justwise! I appreciate |
Zoey1:Thanks bro. Standard it is then, for of what use is priority even when it comes out early and the visa say i can't leave for UK till after the xmas. We saw the case of someone whose resumption is 13th January and the depature stated on her visa was 26th Dec. |
Congratulations to you as we anticipate that of your husband and son. Please going by what they said that ur visa valid date starts from 26 Dec, does it mean you cant leave for UK before that date? Also that 26 Dec a month to your course start date? Some people are of the view that its possible traveling two weeks before the one month departure expected date. Guys please your clarification is needed on this.!! Makkykiki: |
justwise:Thank you so much wise justwise. I really appreciate ur clarification, suggestion and advice. Though a friend currently studying in Glasgow said not all job agencies do ask for letter from sch, that as a mater of fact, he had interview with over 5 agencies and it was only one that asked for letter from school. Also to open an account, you need bank letter from ur school... but he believes that this can be ready b4 one get into UK, and can get it on their school portal. Furthermore he said as for NI, they don't need any bank details all they need is passport and BRP. Once one has those two, he can book an NI interview and it doesn't take anytime that he got an appointment of 5 working days after he called them. And once one go for d interview, they'll give u a temporary ref number that you can use to work until ur NI number comes out in say 2 weeks after ur interview. How true or possible is this guys? |
Zoey1:Thank you so much Sir, i really appreciate. You said Considering a previous refusal its not advisable to use Priority (as advised by UKVI) please which is best advisable. You meant super priority or i just use a standard visa. Super priority is not beans that's why i was considering priority at first. Sir kindly throw more light on this. |
Good morning guys. No doubt we have smart guys here, when i need clarification i come to this forum and go through questions and answers posts. So Transperent unlike agents that wont tell you most truth, but this forum would do so especially with hot debates over subject matters. Thumbs up guys! That been said, Please i would like to get some clarifiation. I am to apply for Visa on monday 25th Nov, thereafter pick the next available date for interview here in Abuja. I am thinking of which would be better, standard or Priority? Reasons been that my resumption date is 27th January and i have heard that you are not allowed into the UK except a month to your start date which for mine is 27th Dec. Contrary to this some sources are saying the moment i get my visa i can travel even 2weeks to my expected depature date. The truth is, i intend traveling earlier so that i can settle down do everything like getting NI and a Job as well as work a bit before my start date which is 27th Jan 2020. I also want to travel before the xmas/new year period 20th dec to 1st jan 2020. This is to avoid the stress, risk and cost of traveling that period. If i am to make do with the "one-month to course start date" then i am expected to leave by 27th Dec and my parents already said i wld hv to postpone the trip and wait till first week of January to travel and this could make the time i hv to settle down before classes short. Hence to achive travelling earlier the taught of priorty came up. Because standard could place my visa coming in at mid Dec and before i could prepare, the xmas period is up against me. So guys please i need ur advice, suggestion and clarification mostly about departure time after visa is issued me. Also i had to refusal from Australia in Feb and August over insufficient home ties, hope this wont be much a problem because i would be tendering my previous refusals. Though i now have a registered Telecommunucations Business name with CAC, this business brings in daily cash flow and is visible on my prove of funds though my mom is my sponsor but the money is in my account. I also currently have an employment with an NGO since March,(180k salary). But after bringing these documents including membership certificate with Red Cross, Rotary international, my 7.0 Ielts all just to make things juicy this time, BCIE are of the view that these doesnt matter for UK. I should only work with whats on my CAS (which is degree, transcript and prove of funds) that theres no need saying or supporting my application with home ties employment and other documents. I am only been careful and proactive. Thanks guys in anticipation. |
farouk1989:I applied for Bournemouth University. But for their Nursing, their next intake for 2years Bsc Nursing (Adult) is in Summer 2020. While for Msc Nursing that could be recommended by me is University of Hertfordshire. Their 2 years masters is open to orher field provided you meet their requirments. Their next intake is 28 Sept 2020. This 2 year full time programme is especially designed for people who already hold a first degree wishing to become registered nurses. Professional Accreditations Upon successful completion of the programme, students will be eligible to enter the Nursing and Midwifery Council Professional Register as an Adult Nurse and will be legally entitled to practice. Normally a 2:1 honours degree in any subject. Consideration will be given to applicants with a 2:2 if their degree is related to nursing and they have previous care work experience. You can view the full NHS Constitution for England on the Government. https://www.herts.ac.uk/courses/msc-adult-nursing?utm_source=findamasters&utm_medium=courselisting&utm_campaign=pgtawareness&utm_content=adultnursing I hope this helps you. Just do further researches. |
Morty123:I studied BA History and Diplomatic Studies. And was offered msc Project Management. I know of a school that offers msc Nursing (adult) to other non related fields. Though they have other requirements like 2:1. My point is, some schools offer courses that Welcomes other fields. Talk more of within Engeering. Just do more research, you could get a school that presents you what you need. |
LagosismyHome:To the best of my knowledge Abuja is faster. Because of ots proximity to Where descision on visa is taken. But now, here is what happens when its peak period. Most people want Abuja because its faster, hence avoid lagos since everything is moved to Abuja for processing. The traffic is reduced in TLC office lagos and Abuja becomes chocked up. And getting update on ur application becomes complicated, while people who did theirs in lagos have less hassles than you predicted. I stay around the Abuja visa application center and do assist frnds check for updates. The crowd during peak period is not beans. Everyone is running from lagos meanwhile irony is the case. So i wld advice people to balance the process. Both have their Merits and Demerits. Hence Apply in Lagos or Abuja but apply early! Less Hassle! Happy You! |
akinbo3:Yes most times its good to go through lists of courses and check their details with a double check. I got admission in Salford university Manchester with a placement but when i checked the admission letter i discovered that even the placement was included in the one year course duratiom unlike most schools that add extra 6months placement to the one year duration making it 18months. I even got about £3000 juicy scholarship from Salford but after weighing my options and doing more research i opted for Bournemouth which gave me 2years with entry requirements that welcomed applicants from different course background provided ur application stands out from other applications. Though its September intake is about 18 months only. |
maka11:Thats good, i applied for Bournemouth University. |
hosey:Guys sorry for the typo-error, i actually meant my msc course starts in Jan 2020 and ends in winter 2022. (January 2022). Which is an added advantage, since PSW commenses Summer 2021, and my course would only but end in 2022. (7 months placement inclusive) |
My course is not only rounding up in summer 2021 but winter 2020. Which is what i opted for. The 7months placement for my course was the bomb! And am happy i went for the January option which is longer. Meanwhile i think we have some Bournemouth prospective students here than i expected. This is good. I Almost felt like a lone ranger riding to Bournemouth in January. Tobexin: |
Tobexin:Yes Bournrmouth sent same mail to me yesterday. I believe they finally got better clarification from a more authoritative source. Earlier last month when i was applying for a 2 years msc program in Bournemouth which starts in January 2020, i mailed them as regards the 2 years post study, they simply said, The 2 years post study work visa applies for the 2020/21 academic year, which starts in September and hope this clarified matters. But then afteran update came from a more reliable blog and source they had to disseminate same to their prospective students like the Buckingham university did in their school site earlier enough. In all, This settles many controversies |
