It's a 3rd party app that lags and fails some times. This camera thread ought to be the beauty of stock camera. If pixel owners are posting pictures with Gcam. Xiaomi owners are posting pictures with Gcam. It is just hilarious

And if that's the case then Xiaomi is a scam, Gcam is a scam and it will be an absolute shame for any Xiaomi user to bash Transsion devices

I got the Redmi Note 8. The device is simply dope. Fast charging. Plus 24hours of heavy internet usage when I charge to a 100%. Camera ok, second space feature also dope.

The only thing kind of missing is Google invasion of some Mi apps, being replaced with Google's own stock apps, on the Global ROMs. e.g. Mi Messaging and Mi Dialer app, which comes with extra features when compared with the former. Tried installing both as in apk, didn't work. Any work out for this on Note 8, aside installing Custom Roms?.

However, the missing Mi apps, isn't much of a consign, the Google stock ones, does absolutely well, as well.

Install the mi dialler app and msg app then reboot the device

When i bought my note 8 from ali express, it came with the mi dial pad and message app the phone was so beautiful with the Chinese rom, but after unlocking it to global rom the thin weak me the sweet apps and sweet system was no longer there

AOSP ROMs for my device still having issues with FOD (fingerprint on display) and on AOD so I'm shuttling between Miui EU and revolutionOS. Been on revOS for like 2months now, updated to the latest version and it's been going smooth.
