Career › Re: Does GPA Really Matter In The Labour Market? by AmeLonRo(m): 12:46pm On Aug 11, 2011
GPA! CGPA! Are they important. If all you want is to be wealthy, please do not go to school. Stay at home, learn how to read and write, do some internet or trading business and you are made.

However, to become a doctor, lawyer, engineer, lecturer, professor etc, you need school and good grades. Before you leave pry schl u do common entrance shey? U do WAEC/NECO and JAMB to enter higher ground.

GPA/CGPA is a measure of your grasp of ur discipline. The higher it is the more you are thought to have grasped.

To get some jobs you need a high CGPA as a stepping stone. Without it you are not considered.

People with poor CGPA's are however succeeding in real life too.

If you ask me, I'll say get good CGPA and succeed with it. people. Many who do not have it are regretting it. If you have it you got many options!
Foreign Affairs › Re: Pictures Of London Riot Looters! by AmeLonRo(m): 11:45am On Aug 11, 2011
I always believe that there is a miracle in every man's house. Look inwards. Greatness is within you not in another, in your country and town, not in another mans.

The book: ''Acres of diamond'' says it all.

May surprise you that Nigerians will yet be begging to travel there. God abeg bless me even in my country and where I am.

Celebrities › Re: Genevieve Nnaji Looking Young And Pretty With Smile On Y Magazine by AmeLonRo(m): 9:52am On Aug 10, 2011
Genevieve has spoken about some of the issues raised by press about her love life. The actress was on Comedian Teju Babyface’s TV show (TV talk show anchored in a similar style with David Letterman’s show) when the comedian brought out a picture of the couple (Genevieve and D’banj together) and asked ‘is there any truth in this?’ referring to the widely reported affair.

“He has a very very good heart” She replied, Earlier, She had told the comedian that, what matters to her about a man is his heart.

The case is closed, right?

She also addressed the reportedly affair with former vice president Atiku Abubakar and informs she has never met the politician.

aija be positive. take her word for it.

She is pretty!
Properties › Re: Why Doesn't Lagos State Tax My Property - I'm Willing To Pay by AmeLonRo(m): 2:48am On Aug 10, 2011
Taxing properties eve in remote villages will not be an issue if the government is incurruptible. In a situation where any one in govt is amasing vanity to the detriment of the others is unpalatable and will be the down fall of any unnecesary/necessary tax. lets reexamine the present tax system and you will see that the rich are still benefitting much. The poor pay for the rich (check out rich dad poor dad). Its true. The rich make the laws and create an escape route for themselves. Its just unfair. Lagos, say NO to additional property tax is my take.
Britain depends solely on the tax generated for its development. Thats why the system is efficient. Nigeria has so many means of generating revenue aside from the federal allocation. Check out if britain has federal allocation and the the size and population here and there. lets be pragmatic. We already have enough, that if well utilised we are made already. E go beta.

This is a good topic indeed ad we need to face the topic to move ahead. Ekiti state recently changed their state 'slogan'. Bad mouthing ' winkthe state of harmony' and the 'confluence state' is not a good thing at all. We have very credible minds there you know!
