Nonesense, I can see that unpatriotic Nigerians are here making negative comments about their country--unfortunate Nigerians is their new name because they can never see anything good about the country but they will still use the passport to travel out"SPIT ON THEIR HEADS".

Back to the topic, the American man should rather run far from Places like Chicago and Dethriot rather than poking his broken nose on Nigeria, white-trash.

Unpatriotic my ass, the truth is the truth. Extensive corruption has made life in Naija precarious

He has a point but some people are still getting ahead in Nigeria. In fact I know people who only began to make it after they relocated back home from abroad.

The issue is not getting ahead but enjoying a better, less precarious life

That's why the best thing is to never put all your eggs in one basket. One leg abroad, one leg home. Make it abroad, build @home.

Caveat Emptor: Beware of village people.

Easier said than done. You'd find the practical thing is to choose one - 9ja or abroad.

It’s only true for those who are lazy upstairs life is difficult here but has many opportunities than most of those western world.

Despise sars, no light, corrupt police and dangerous politicians here in Naija their is still more opportunity here

Naija is good grin
if u never go to hospital or send yr kids to school or run into police or Sars or army, or breath the polluted air, or run into ritualistis or run into drunken drivers plying bad roads with poor vehicles and avoid the fact that everything is fake due to corruption.
That's a steep price to pay for the "opportunities" in Naija.

One advantage our shithole has is that u can get away with virtually anything if you are rich or powerful enough. In America you can end up in jail for even just not filing your taxes no matter how rich or powerful u r.

Slavery! especially all these 'yes sir' 'yes sir' workers. Some people are in their home operating at their own convenience, clicking laptops and phones, receiving credit notifications from their banks every seconds; and making more money than all these people saying 'yes sir' to one small oga in their offices, leaving home 4am and returning 10pm.

So true. Lagos is not overcrowded for every resident. All those big people u hear living in Lagos, u think their lives are overcrowded?
But real Lagos (Oshodi, Ojuelegba, etc) are much worse than these photos

Politics / Re: "Obasanjo Awarded Oil Blocks For Sex" - Wole Soyinka by ameri9ja: 1:16am On Aug 13, 2018
vezycash:

on word, Alakija

Stop lying. Obasanjo was not president when Alakija hot her oil well. See below.

In May 1993, Folorunsho applied for the allocation of an oil prospecting license (OPL).[12] The license to explore for oil on a 617,000-acre block—now referred to as OPL 216—was granted to Alakija's company, Famfa Limited. The block is located approximately 220 miles south east of Lagos and 70 miles offshore of Nigeria in the Agbami Field of the centralNiger Delta. In September 1996, she entered into a joint venture agreement with Star Deep Water Petroleum Limited (a wholly owned subsidiary of Texaco) and appointed the company as a technical adviser for the exploration of the license, transferring 40 percent of her 100 percent stake to Star Deep.[13][14]

Once word got out they struck oil the unthinkable happened: the Nigerian government snatched a 40% stake!Later, they took an additional 10%. According to her:

“We felt like it was unfair. We had taken the sole risk and invested everything we had in the business. It had become a family business. We spent six years as a family to ensure this worked out and now that it was bearing fruit, they just stepped in and took away everything we had struggled and worked extremely hard for. I said to myself, ‘Folorunsho Alakija does not give up, my husband does not give up and my children do not give up.’”[15]

She took them to court. For 12 years she fought the government in court. The stakes were high. The government argued if Alakija and family were allowed to keep their bloc they stood to make $10 million a day! Still she persisted and in the end she won. [16]

Go back to the topic and stop blabbering! You can find a psychologist to explain to you the difference between a deadbeat or absent father and one who died while still being part of a loving marriage and how it affects children differently. Let me humor your argument, even if we counted all the presidents that grew up without their fathers you would still have less than 30% of all U.S presidents which only strengthens my argument that anyone can become president in the U.S as long as the U.S is their place of birth!

You are still failing to see the problem with your hypocrisy! A pastor, a radiohost, imam or any powerful role model who preaches certain philosophies and way of life are expected to abide by their code, whenever they deviate they do the needful, they RESIGN and stop being he influential role model many people take them for. This is what happens in advance countries, I understand in Nigeria we are so used to hypocrisy and we try to justify it by any means necessary but an hypocrite is and will always be an HYPOCRITE....Any further discussion on this is a waste of my time and yours.....Peace!

First of all, why do u keep saying "an hypocrite"?
It is "a hypocrite". "A" not "an". Capisce?

I now see your problem. U don't know the genesis of the example I gave about US presidents. Someone said people are likely to turn out touts and criminals if their father was not part of their upbringing. I gave the example to refute that argument. That's the discussion. Capisce?
Also do u know what "statistically" means?
STATISTICALLY, there should be no US President not raised by his father because their number is insignificant among the presidential pool.

By your definition of hypocrite, then all pastors are hypocrites. In fact preaching would be impossible because preachers always advocate the ideal - for example, never look at a woman sexually - which even they cannot always attain.

You obviously did not read what I wrote before commenting. Clinton father died 3 months before his birth so what the hell are you talking about? I told you there've been 12 presidents who grew up without their fathers and only 2 were a result of divorce, I've done the reasearch so stick to topics you are knowledgeable in! Moving on, do you know the full meaning of HYPOCRITE? Saying one thing and ending up doing the opposite, you can call it pragmatism, you can call it cleverness but an hypocrite is an hypocrite. It's funny you used trump as an example, the irony here is that you used one of the biggest hypocrite to justify why someone should not be called an hypocrite......my guy go sleep!

WHAT ARE YOU YAPPING ABOUT?! Ford, Clinton, Obama, were all raised without their fathers, were they not? What exactly is your argument?!

Foolish cosistency is the hallmark of inferior minds. One can advocate the ideal while at the same time allowing that it may not be always possible. That is not hypocrisy. That is pragmatism, living in the real world!
I mentioned Supreme court and Trump to show that even old, wise people change their minds

You need to stop living in lala land, I already told you anyone can be president in the U.S! Stop skewing statistics and comparing apples with oranges! 50% of the last 4 is nothing but hogwash statistics when you compare it to the total population set and the circumstances. In total we've had 12 U.S presidents out of 43 raised fully or partially without their father and of those 12 only 2 were raised by their mothers due to divorce or the father not accepting the pregnancy, the remaining 10 had a fully functioning family until the demise of their father, so get your facts straight! Unless you are insinuating that the death of a father has the same impact on a child as the father just walking out on the family and being absent? Furthermore, no one is saying Linda shouldn't have kids by all means she should but DON'T MISLEAD OTHERS! When so many girls are influenced by her words and her campaign for morality, does it not seem hypocritical that she did exactly what she campaigned against?

Let me summarize for you, only 2 out of 43 U.S presidents grew up without their father due to divorce or him just denying their existence! No one is against Linda getting preganant, just don't be hypocritical!

1)Without doing any research I already know you are wrong. Because Ford, Clinton, and Obama (that's 3 already) all were raised without their fathers. Statistically that should not happen because almost all American children of that class are raised with their fathers or with their father's input.

2) Even the supreme court changes it's mind. Even 71 year old Trump changed his mind - he was once pro anortion. Linda advocated and I'm sure still advocates the ideal. But unless you are a móron u know sometimes the ideal is not feasible. That does not make her a hypocrite at all. Quite the opposite. Makes her PRAGMATIC. A woman who is getting older and who desires natural childbirth and who can well afford raising a child, should go for it. She never said she was against that.

Why should there be none? The beauty of America is that anyone can be president as long as the USA is their country of birth! Furthermore statistically speaking, less than 10% of all U.S presidents were raised without their fathers.

There should be none because the percentage of uppity Americans raised without their fathers is almost zero. Despite that, 50% of last 4 US presidents were raised without their fathers!
