Government have nothing to do with the price of DSTV. DSTV is luxury aren't you aware if you don't like the price, go watch NTA or listen to your local radio. You even have money to buy dstv during this hard times. Tell your government to reduce the taxes the collect/ import duties on radio and TV stations then you will not be thinking of DSTV. In South Africa, the don't really miss not watching DSTV their local stations have more than enough contents.

I'm not so much interested in that crap called dstv.I don't watch it anyway but if you are really in desperate need to watch it with a valid subscription on 69 or 69x and above you can try this.If it works for you,you can thank God,your stars and maybe me later.If it doesn't,don't loose hope.Just keep exploring.
1.Copy the 63x file to your pendrive
2.Go to the data tranfer menu and highlight the file
3.Press the button that represents upload key not the one that represents upload stb(cause that won't work).
4.Exit and restart the machine
*Remember to remove your smartcard before you try this
*Only try it on a genuine strong receiver and
*No one should ask me for that software.-I don't have it and i don't need it.

Let us remember that this is supposed to be a "Free To Air Satellite Tv General Thread" and not a "DSTV general thread". While I appreciate that there are many of of us who combine genuine dstv subscription with FTA channels, let us try to minimise the flood of requests for the STRONG decoder patch. Like swordswifter said, I don't watch dstv myself neither do I have need for the patch but I gave it out here just to clear the misconception that DSTV with valid subscription can no longer be viewed on decoders other than proprietary dstv decoders. I hope I have been able to put paid to that erroneous thinking.

Going forward, I will no longer entertain fresh requests for the dstv patch since it does not help promote the goals of this forum which is FTA.

And for the records, I have received a lot of requests for info concerning card sharing. I will like to state categorically here that I DO NOT support neither do I encourage the watching of PAY TV WITHOUT VALID SUBSCRIPTION. I like to see myself as a businessman and no sane business owner will like his products or services being obtained free of charge without payment.

For this reason I try to stay on the "CLEAN" side of FTA which means no to d*ongles, c*lines, etc. I may be in the minority going by all I can see happening around but I prefer it that way. If for any reason I want to watch DSTV in the future it will be with a valid subscription using their own branded decoder.

I hope this puts paid to a lot of speculation that has been going on for a while now.

The owners of the dongle haven't yet released software for what the manufacture and you come to this forum to call someone a foul. Just because he has sounded a warning alarm to deter people.
Well, if you can believe what they tell you so be it.

I don't know why so many people are scared of D**tv closing down Avatar! Dongle business is thriving in Europe, Asia, South America. SKY in the UK was long hacked more than 10yrs ago. Showtime was also hacked long too. Major providers in Europe, Asia were long hacked till as i speak. Mind you these are providers that have the latest encryption technology, financial muscle, political will, connection and the viewers. Even all these providers with their collective effort dongle is still thriving there. But most dongle manufacturers underestimated the African market and D**tv were smiling to the banks.( D*tv were the only provider that was not hacked and they had bragging right ) Dongle business in Africa is big business and Avatar has just made it so. I bet you would see more dongle manufacturer graving for the African market.
D*tv is no way match to dongle. Dongle will only come out stronger and waxier!

Avatar with SD card is working ok. But the software for the Avatar-2 is having problem. The updated software for Avatar-2 will be release soonest.

lets face it, our players are overrated and not so good(except kanu). The coach should not carry the whole blame. South africa have a world class coach but couldnt survive the first round. The players themselves should use common sense.

just add more memory. The more memory you add the faster your laptop. And try and reduce the numbers of windows you open. 2GIG will suffice.

the one I have falls at that price range. Its an intel 386 with 4gig hard drive, 64gig ram, however it has no CD drive and its powered by DOS. its a mono screen.

My brother laptops are cheap now depending on the specification. Must I give an arm and a leg to buy a laptop?
