Ferdyboss:Lol. Ferdy, all relationships aren't romantic! I'm sure that's what you refer to as relationship but that word has a much bigger meaning than boy/girl mushy mushy things. |
Jaz hon. I must first apologize for replying your mention late, that's a big blunder on my part... About your last update, babe honestly, I shudder ... lol, some guys are making me look like I'm the one with a problem of intolerance whereas they are the ones who know next to nothing about being chivalrous. That guy missed it. In fact, it is becoming too common these days, guys missing it since we entered 2016. Lol. If you know what I faced in just last weekend! I broke up with a guy I met on Friday three days after! lol Shortest relationship of my life! I will give you details, trust me *winks. |
KingEbukasBlog:Mmmh... I really can't say but there is no scriptural backing to this thought pattern though. However, those books that give testimonies of people's visit to heaven and hell (I don't call them authority in the subject but...), they testified of seeing people they know and even recognizing Abraham and Enoch and other patriarchs the moment they saw them in Heaven. I believe when we get there, it will be like a reunion sort of *smiles* and for those who may miss it, their loss won't steal our happiness full time. It may just be like meeting your mum for instance and after the excitement of reuniting with her, you ask of a cousin or someone and she says something like, 'oh no, I haven't met the fellow yet' and you both will just shrug and hope for the best or be sorry he missed out. I still want to go back to Lazarus again, it wasn't Lazarus who felt depressed seeing the rich man in hell but the rich man was the one crying 'Had I known'. |
karleone:Lol. You are not alone Karl, at a point I started forcing myself to read posts that were long to the end because I feared I may be suffering from fatigue or something. It only got worse. Long posts, except in cases were the story is intriguing and there is suspense involved, bore me. I prefer the short paragraphs and enough spacing style of typing so I can follow through to the end. |
KingEbukasBlog:Lol Read vs 16 of that chapter, reference was made to the former troubles being forgotten, not the human beings you interacted with being wiped off your memory. You will be forgetting the sorrows, the pain, the animosity and troubles between parents and children, all those things will be things of the past to be forgotten and remembered no more in the new heaven and the new earth. This scripture even has a follow up scripture in Revelation 21. |
KingEbukasBlog:Ok. Yea. Now why do you think we will have no memories of our lives on earth? We won't be able to recognize people? I find that hard to believe. When Jesus was asked about the woman who married about seven husbands on earth after losing the first, then she remarried and he died then she married his brother and the tragedy struck again and again ... they wanted to know which of the men will claim her as his wife on the resurrection day, he responded them in Mark 12: 18-27. So even though there will neither be marriage nor giving in to marriage,I believe there will be relationships, familiar relationships. |
KingEbukasBlog:Lol. They'll come for your head soon enough ![]() Yes please. Let's proceed. So what do you call Abraham's bosom? |
FrancisTony:Nice job so far. I love that the posts are short and easy to read. It does make for quick reading devoid of the boredom that comes with very long posts. That being said, I noticed your tenses kept changing. There's no uniformity, one time you are using past tense and another time you are in the present tense. You need to be consistent. And then I understand how difficult it can be for writers editing their own works, it is very difficult! You may want to just go over the posts again slowly and make some corrections in places were you typed some words twice and all those little errors. Your setting betrays your language (the use of big big grammar by old mama in the village ). Mama's spoken English is far better than mine . Please give mama simple words and mix it local dialect where possible. You are doing a great job at story telling. May your source of inspiration not shut down. I expect to see more chapters. Kudos! |
KingEbukasBlog:You are welcome. You believe in purgatory Ebuka? |
Decker:I've gone through all your questions and I'll love to give a short answer to all the questions you posed on here with this post. As much as I know, it is only in books written by people who claim to have died, gone to heaven and returned back to earth that I've seen things about inheriting bigger mansions and all that sort of thing. I know from the bible that for those who win more souls on earth, will get crowns that are filled with stars, the more the souls won, the more stars you'll have adorn your crown. That shouldn't warrant any form of unhappiness or jealousy. In fact, up until now, I've never thought about any reason for unhappiness in heaven until you started mentioning relatives in hell who should have been enjoying with us in heaven, as a result of which sadness will creep in and rob many of their joys. Just like sibling rivalry here on earth, there are families that no matter how successful and famous one out of the bunch of them is, they still love one another and constantly wish more success for the successful one while seeking for other means to lift the ones that aren't doing well. In Christendom, more than anything else, we pray for the conversion of all our loved ones and all lost souls who are in the dark, who the bible refers to as people whom the god of this world has blinded their eyes, we pray for them, it's the main reason for evangelical work on Earth. We do this while they are still alive because no repentance in the grave, not even if prayers of forgiveness is offered after one has given up the ghost. It will rather be too late for such a one. So, in heaven there will be no night nor day, no mourning nor weeping. It will be a place where people who have fought the good fight can beat their chest to say i have finished my course. And how 7 years or 1000 days will be calculated is the business of the ancient of days to calculate. I'll not break my head trying to worry about how those years will be calculated. I don't have the answer to that. We'll sha keep praying that everyone of us make it to heaven, there's enough mansion to go round ![]() |
Babacele:Oh wow! You have a beautiful name. Unique too for a Nigerian ![]() There are times I get the feeling you are not Nigerian (I draw that from some of your posts) but other times, I feel you are from the south-western part of Nigeria. How accurate am I in any of these feelings? |
KingEbukasBlog:Hi Ebuka, we'll still retain our memories of the past i.e of our lives on earth when we get to heaven. Remember the story of the rich man and Lazarus in Abraham's bosom? The guy remembered his family members and pleaded for Abraham to send Lazarus to go and preach to them for their salvation so they won't end up in hell like him. @ Decker, I just saw this notification today. I'll take time to go through your questions and reply the best way I know how but tell that dude attacking comments not to attack mine , I don't enjoy bashful and hateful attacks. Let's be civil ejo. |
You got my attention Tony ![]() I'll make sure I religiously follow your story (thriller) to the end! It's a promise. Let the reading begin! I'll drop comments as well after reading , this isn't a diary, no constraints and restraints here ![]() Thanks for the mention. |
Heard this painful news this morning on radio and I felt sorry for the bereaved friends and families. It is indeed a painful loss. Birthday celebration turned into mourning. May God grant the family the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss. I'm worried though about where they will be buried... their hometown or by the beach side? Some years ago, a neighbour who died while traveling on sea was buried by the river side and they said it was whether tradition or something of that sort. I'm curious to know, is it ATR or where does such practice stem from? ![]() |
Babacele:Wow! That's a long time ago. ![]() You be baba ![]() What's the meaning of the 'cele' in your moniker? |
Babacele:Lol... Yes, I have. You shared it this morning. Thanks. I never knew neem leaves were the same as dongoyaro... but now I know. I've learnt something new. Thanks again. Oh! How long ago has it been since you graduated from Uni? |
I have read this story somewhere before and it was not like this then. They have added some things to make it spicy. I must admit, it is now hot! |
Lol @ nobledeals... I love that you are putting into practice the things strongbest is teaching in here. Well done. But I saw sth like groundnut oil there, is it included in the production of the black soap? And yea, I think you need more black color, the soap is not yet black in my eyes. *smiles* Keep up the good work! |
Adesiji77:Good evening Sir. Don't be flattered cos it wasn't flattery from my end. *smiles* I've noticed you always drop a comment in threads I find interesting, some I follow without commenting, just so I can learn from industry experts. Do you work for a financial house? Lol @bumper to bumper. Thanks for following back. I'm honored. But, I need to apologize in advance, some days I go on chatting spree and hang out with some of my e-friends in the jobs/Vacancies chatroom and it may be a little bit disturbing. Please bear with me. |
Veevean1, a happy happy birthday to you! Long may you live! May your life be full of love and laughter. But you should have waited a little o, so we'll share the special day together. In any case, just wet the ground with tombo ... Lol, I'm coming with my canoe and paddle. Drink responsibly! Get drunk with new wine. Have fun. Happy 2*th birthday hon. |
Adesiji77:Lol. Good morning Mr Adesiji. I've always admired and respected you from a distance. Permission to follow you everywhere on Nairaland and learn from your expertise in economic and political issues. Thanks in advance. |
davide470:Lol. Tolutweety come hear o!!! (noticed you are Dave's supporter in this cause * winks) Dave no kill me with laugh tonight abeg. We suppose see this month outside Lagos, I don't want us to count traffic in the hours of our story. |
davide470:Lol. From where to where? Lekki to Ikeja without traffic is a very short distance... So propose our travel destinations |
davide470:If you hadn't commented on this thread, I would have mentioned you! But I see you are the FTC sef. Lol Oya kwantinu... |
geobukky:Lol. This got me chuckling. I'm not known in this land Geo. haven't even noticed a thread like this existed. In other news, you are crushing on me ? *surprised* You have never mentioned it... I have a new crush!!!! Yeeeaaa... Thanks bukky. You are officially my June crush *winks* |
ddaammyy:Send a mail to CustomerCentre@Keystonebankng.com... add your bank account number (leave out BVN), the branch where you did the withdrawal and any other information you deem fit. Don't give out your ATM card details please. Also, fill out the complaint form on the bank's website. They'll look into it as well. Be sure to have your account credited with the 7k latest next week. Very important. Good night. |
ddaammyy:I'm sorry but you had insufficient call card to make that kind of call. Do them a mail and they will treat it by Monday hopefully. Whatever happens, however long it takes, I'm optimistic if you channel your complaint to the right quarters, you will get the 7k refund. Times have changed. Customers are now more aware of their rights. Exercise yours. |
Calm down OP. You haven't been defrauded. Opening a thread to ask for help in rectifying this issue is not the appropriate action to take. You created this thread when banks are still open, you should have walked into the banking hall after you discovered the shortage but you rushed first to create a thread. There may be an automatic reversal after some minutes though. The whole thing is automated. You can't be defrauded. Go and lay your complaint in the right place. Keystone bank no get branch for Nairaland. |
mmiridoroedo:If this your moniker is what I have interpreted it to be in my head, then I love it! ![]() It's funny to me. Ok, about your request, can you type the text you got so we'll see or better still, scrutinize it with your own eyes and if it has any REF NO. then that's a red flag. ![]() |

cos you'd be having flashes of happy life on earth without remembering how you got there . E.g Loved ones that who made you happy but failed to make heaven . I mean you'll feel sad and sorrowful immediately and that's not in accordance to what is written .
