In all honesty, i) methinks Subair's business strategy/model is warped (spending billions of naira on epl only doesn't make much business sense). ii) considering the volume of advices/bashing given Urfriend on this board, a sensitive organization would have carried out a sort of re-engineering to address those myriads of complaints. iii) their pricing is not realistic compared to their content. I hope he recovers fast and may he Subair (HITV) not go the way of Dokpesi (DAARSAT), Famuyibo (FSTV) and co. for NAIJA's economy and for the sake of the overcrowded labour market. |
agitator:call it realistic pricing then ![]() |

Listen to Toyin Subair of HITV: "It's unfortunate we lost out on the EPL rights which was not directly any fault of ours but due to the failure of the banks that were meant to give the sureties, we are however still happy to have other platforms in which we can still meet the aspirations of our viewers," Subair said. "Football is our catalyst not our destination. Before people were attributing our success to just the EPL but now we would let them know the stuff we are made of." Meanwhile, as part of the new strategy to increase its customers base which currently stands at over 300,000, the management has announced a reduction in its subscription rates from N6,000 to N3,500 for its premium bouquet as it plans to hit a mark of 500,000 subscribers before the end of the year. http://234next.com/csp/cms/sites/Next/Home/5604808-146/more_to_hitv_than_english_premiership.csp Pity ![]() |

YAK: I’M IN THE BEST FORM OF MY LIFE. Super Eagles Forward, Yakubu Aiyegbeni Boast Super Eagles striker, Yakubu Aiyegbeni can’t wait for Saturday’s World Cup opener against Argentina and admits the team’s 3-1 win over fellow finalists, North Korea on Sunday in their last tune up game will boost the team confidence. The Everton forward tells Complete Sports that the victory over the Asians was important. “The win over North Korea will boost our confidence, it was a morale booster.” “We’ve been playing draws in recent friendlies (versus Saudi Arabia and Colombia), so it’s good we got a win ahead of our first game with Argentina. “I’m in good shape, most probably in the best shape of my life, for the World Cup. “The training under (Lars) Lagerback has been superb, not only for me, but the entire team. “It was a great feeling to score. It came from a good team play and Obinna (Nsofor) read my run very well. It was a striker’s goal. This has boosted my confidence,” he further said. |

honeric01:The guy is a gentle man, he did not terminate his contract. He planned to see it thru, His contract with Russia ends June 30th, 2010. He is yet to join the Turkish national team, his contract with the Turks kicks off on August 1, 2010. That is why the Russians still have a say, the Ivorien FA must still go thru the Russian FA. |
@candylips Hiddink won't be resuming with the Turkish National team until August and that is well after the World Cup. |
candylips: honeric01:It is the same hiddink mate. Turkey has no say in this, the Russian F.A. is the main actor in the negotiations. |
These guys (NFF, Nonentities Feeding fat on our Football) in glasshouse should be ashamed. Can you imagine the Ivoriens just landed Hiddink! yes you heard me right, Guus Hiddink will be managing Ivory Coast for South Africa 2010. While our guys are busy making noise on the pages of news papers, the Ivorien F.A. went to work 'codedly' and the result is there for all to see. read more on, http://www.imscouting.com/global-news-article/Guus-Hiddink-set-to-lead-Ivory-Coast-at-the-World-Cup/5981/ |
Shame on our leaders. 50 years of independence wasted! 50 solid years down the drain. |

jidesamuel:PORTUGAL and FRANCE can't be in the same group. I stand to be corrected. |
I am really happy for you. CONGRATS. Please note that you have just started a race, Your starting is not as important as your Ending, I pray GOD to help you to end well. Please note these facts: 1) Get integrated into a bible beliving Church, where BIBLE is preached and practised. 2) Avoid old friends with whom you sinned together (at least for now), it is easier for them to pull you down/back rather than you pulling them up. First get spiritual stamina. 3) Read, "chew" and memorize the Bible, Acts of Apostles will be really helpful, read the life of PAUL, 4) Be ready to share your experiences/ testify about your salvation, it will help you to be stronger and help other to discover Christ. 5) Prayers/ Prayer meetings will really help you. Pray about everything and everything. 6) Get good/serious Chriatian friends who lives the Bible, avoid pretenders, 7) Avoid sin, it weakens gradually and eventually kills. Finally Temptations will come, if you overcome , you will become stronger, I pray, the good Lord who located you will sustain you. |
