Obviously, they are not really serious, their main aim is to pull the rug off Startimes feet, halt or reduce their market share or how do you explain a situation whereby they commenced operation in Ibadan over a month ago and they are yet to begin test transmission in Lagos. Sources said: they are still working on obtaining frequencies and setting up networks in Lagos and other cities. The only thing going for them is their 'content' and perhaps 'resources'. I guess trouncing Startimes wont be that difficult, unless Startimes can initiate a price war. Whichever way, the consumers should be better off. |

George D and other in-house gurus shld let us know if dis can be used for fta in addition to the INFINTY thingy. if it works out, the derivable benefits are many: 1. it may/will force STRONG to carry out a downward review of their prices. 2. killing lotta 'birds' with one stone, imagine the 2-in-1 setup with dis. 3. INFINITY might make it where others have failed, trust Nigerians if u are not buying for INFINITY you'll be buying for FTA whichever way TECHNOSAT will be shipping truckloads of stbs to naija and INFINITY will be smiling to their bank.

@ solo nicely put, urs should be titled 'how not to run a pay tv station' Busy chasing viewing centers around Busy upgrading their decoder to pop up smart card no from viewing center to be able to diactivate the card, they invested a lot in this software Busy doing court cases with CTL & musician asso Busy increasing subscription fee from 3.5k to 6k Busy paying urfriend for media relation As in busy getting themselves busy on secondary issues. hope they will learn fast. |

@solo HITV are negotiating that with dstv now (what an irony), b-a-d. Subair is a laywer not a businessman, he uses the law to operate hitv and not run it from businessman's pespective, , his lieutenants are not doing their jobs (though the bucks still stops at his table). he should have competent professionals in finance technical marketing operations and planning, development & other departments. my question is what have they been doing  |
