Amovingman:If the Southeast vote Tinubu in 2027, they stand a chance of becoming V.P to a Fulaniman under APC in 2031. They have no pathway to the presidency that does not involve going through the V.P route. Since 1999, every single region that has become president started as V.P. |
From a strategic point of view, there's nothing for ADC in the Southeast. Obi made sure of it. Historically, the Southeast is also the only region that doesn't split their votes, although they almost always end up backing the wrong horse. Every other region in the country put their eggs in multiple baskets as a form of insurance except for the Southeast. In 2023, Atiku made Okowa from the Southsouth V.P and even though he didn't win Delta, he won Akwa Ibom and Bayelsa. Politics is not an emotional sport. |
WizardOfNG:And would that be a crime? The Southwest had 8 years of Obasanjo presidency and then 8 years of Osinbajo as Vice, and now, Tinubu is currently President. It's the turn of the South but which of the South? Monkey dey work, baboon dey chop. |
According to APC lackeys, Tinubu's "bold reforms" are working. But even the cooked up statistics now beg to differ. |
Amovingman:Atiku will get his from the majority of Tinubu's 5.6m Northern voters who would now rather vote for him, coupled with the 6.9m votes that he got in 2023. Obi will get his from the same place he got over 6m votes in 2023. By that, I mean the entire South including Tinubu's Lagos. So again, where will Tinubu's votes come from? Is he going to use court orders to declare himself elected? |
Amovingman:Largely from 5.6m Northern voters, majority of whom will no longer vote for him. I ask again, where will his votes come from? |
Amovingman:Merely chanting it is not enough. Where will his votes come from? |
richmond500:Allow Tinubu to keep pushing his luck. They have engaged the services of multiple polling firms and analysts that keep telling them that Tinubu has no pathway to re-election. Hence, the desperation you see. In law, this is called fait accompli. Not only does the ADC have elective positions, the ruling was given in defiance of a court of appeal judgement that had ordered the matter to not be heard until November. Tinubu and Wike are in panic mode and this judgement was meant to erase news of Amaechi's selection as Atiku’s Vice. Just as the Nafiu Bala fiasco by INEC was done on the day Kwankwaso joined the ADC. "The guy is gone!"
|
Who did Umahi and Soludo adopt in 2023 and what was the result from their states? I don't even blame them. They are both sabotaging Obi so they can be considered for V.P to a Northerner under APC in 2031 but V.P is too condescending for some people. |
LagosOrigin:Ignore the kangaroo judgement. It's borne out of panic. Not only does the ADC have elective positions, the ruling was given in defiance of a court of appeal judgement that had ordered the matter to not be heard until a November. Tonubu and Wike are in panic mood and this judgement was meant to erase news of Amaechi's selection as Atiku’s Vice. It will not stand but it's in your best interest that you don't join Tinubu in celebrating the destruction of our democracy.

Akpakomiza2:Everywhere will be divided. Whoever emerges with the highest margin will become president and as at today, the odds favour the Atiku/Amaechi ticket. |
MrRichmond:Being a V.P is stooping but yet, the Southeast has never produced a V.P. Every single region used the V.P as a vehicle to assume power. |
nony43:Yes. Because he was contesting for the presidential ticket and was being asked by the journalist whether he has agreed to deputise Atiku. That's an insult. He simply replied that he didn't buy the presidential ticket to contest for Vice. Context is everything. Amaechi no small! |
The most solid ticket combination, if you ask me. It's Atiku/Amaechi o'clock. Meanwhile, Tinubu is still in a dilemma on whether to repeat the muslim-muslim ticket or not. He's stuck between a rock and a hard place! |
iwaeda:This is visible to the blind! |
Sponsored article coming late. The ADC just confirmed Amaechi as Atiku’s running mate. Come 2027, it's Atiku/Amaechi o'clock!
|
Amalekki:Why not tell us what the key charges against him are? The only key charge against him I know about is that he left the APC and vowed to unmake Tinubu as president. Meanwhile Yahaya Bello and Ifeanyi Okowa are running for Senate. Even Nnaji, who left the APC and became the gubernatorial candidate of the PDP in Enugu just saw a resurrection of his certificate forgery case. Meanwhile, Tinubu passed a law in the electoral act decriminalising age falsification and certificate forgery. Apparently, it only applies to the president. |
Ofemannnu:Jokes on you. Kwara has never produced a Yoruba governor. If you are right, how comes 80% of Yorubas are being dominated by the 20% from other ethnicities? Tinubu is out to push a Yoruba agenda even in the Northcentral states of Kogi and Kwara. |
The government is not focused on the substance of the case as they have nothing to hold against him. The focus is rather on keeping him away from the 2027 conversation because Tinubu himself knows the capacity of Elrufai to unmake him as president. The ingrates and betrayers will be taught bitter political lessons come 2027. |
A president who weakly declares in the open that the insecurity in the country is as a result of his opponents trying to get rid of him cannot inspire confidence in his troops. That was a cliché that was being bandied about by his lackeys but hearing it from his own mouth leaves a lot to be desired. He went further to declare himself as a stubborn politician who refuses to go away. Well, if Nigerians reject you at the polling unit come 2027, you will either go away or get the Laurent Gbagbo treatment. |
Big trouble in little Tokyo. APC is facing serious internal crisis in Kwara that if not well managed, will see the state slip away from their grasp. |
raumdeuter:Yet he won with less than 2 million votes and with the North giving him 65% of his total votes. Tinubu was very popular in the North in 2023, can you say the same today? |
raumdeuter:Winning is immaterial. What will be his margin of victory? He cannot win the Southwest in a landslide. |
As I have always maintained, the Southwest remains the most dynamic region in terms of voting pattern, only next to the Northcentral. Unfortunately for Tinubu, that is his only base. Votes will be split here, and even if Tinubu ends up with the highest votes cast here, it won't amount to much. |
I thought Akpabio and Bamidele said Kawu Samaila got a 60 billion naira ecological contract from Tinubu and so he shouldn't be seen talking against Tinubu. Why has his utterrances and posture been pro-opposition lately? We will all learn politics together. |
Even the thread topic was compromised by the Mods to look favourable to the APC. Meanwhile, the same mod never fails to push anti-oppossition threads "as is" to the front page. Such bias is becoming unbecoming, and Seun needs to rein some of his mods in. |
shortgun:"I will put fire in their states" - Obia Akpor Ghengis Khan Isn't it curious that the incident in Oyo took place after Governor Seyi Makinde declared his presidential ambition? He has now being handicapped and will be guilt-tripped if he attempts to embark on campaigns. The more you look, the less you see. |
Basic123:You should have posted it in the Religion section then. |
Clearly, muslim-muslim ticket will still be a factor in 2027, contrary to what APC lackeys say. Tinubu's much touted in-road into the middlebelt and among Christian voters may be quickly eroded if he repeats the same ticket. |
While some members of the APC were sincere about changing the status quo and bringing genuine change in 2015, others were jealous of the abuse of power, high-handedness and impunity displayed by Wike under the PDP and immediately co-opted him into their party as soon as they won in 2023. We are only now getting to know who is who. |
Lithiumite:You are joking, right? Like I said, there was nothing Nnamdi Kanu did that Sunday Igboho did not do. One has been sent to prison, while the other is now Tinubu's campaign coordinator in the Southwest.
