No smoke without fire. Tinubu's body language and posture already suggests that he intends to replace Shettima. At this point, even if he ends up not doing so, he has already dampened morale and created a trust deficit in the minds of the APC Northeast caucus and they still won't wholeheartedly campaign for him. APC's implosion is inevitable. Listen to the Borno Speaker.

Where are Agbadorians domiciled in Ogun state? Come and collect your sub o! |
Fergie001, nlfpmod. Food don done o. I hope it's not too early for breakfast? |
Wahala don tie gele o! How can Tinubu now navigate through this when Trump has allegedly given him the marching order on muslim-muslim ticket? Meanwhile, Governor Abba of Kano is still dragging feet after seeing what is in front of him. Tinubu is still begging Kwankwaso but what else can he offer to him if he can't offer the V.P slot? Lessons will be learnt!

livinbygrace:Can the checks and investigations only be carried out when they physically present themselves at the DSS office after being summoned like schoolboys? Do other aspiring monarchs from other regions undergo these physical checks and investigations? It's a form of conquest but you can't even see it for what it is. |
Where is SOKAPU? They have been eerily quiet. Goes to show that all they ever needed during the last administration was to be offered appointments and placed on payroll. Now they are too busy observing table manners. |
Very reckless statement to be coming from the APC Chairman. Tinubu's cabinet is already populated with a lot of misfits and square pegs in round holes even for sensitive ministries and agencies whose only qualification is being party members. It is disappointing to know that they intend to double down on this if they manage to win re-election. He also appears to be jumping the gun and throwing a veiled shot at Wike who is not currently in the APC. He is not the president and that is not his prerogative to make. |
Nawao. Aspiring Kings being summoned to the DSS office like common serfs? |
Wike and his co-travellers may just end up becoming the biggest losers at the end of the day. He destroyed PDP, his only leverage, to please Tinubu and now APC is unappreciative and don't even want him in their party. Samuel Anyanwu is also now in limbo as he has no platform to pursue his governorship interest after plans by Wike to prop him as the APC candidate in Imo state was checkmated by Uzodinma. |
The 2025 budget was unfunded. Wale Edun got sidelined for coming out clean. Local contractors are literally protesting every day and demanding for their payments at the ministry of finance headquarters. Tinubu has already outborrowed all previous presidents in just over two years. They sold subsidy removal as the silver bullet. Now tax is the new snake oil being sold. |
Richtaiwo:Truth is bitter and facts are stubborn. Legacy is achieved, not claimed. https://www.nairaland.com/4683474/picture-ilorin-jebba-mokwa-road-completed-pmb |
Flangelo12:The Tax Credit scheme is a legacy of late President Muhammadu Buhari. Tinubu has since put a stop to the scheme. This road is being done with funds already earmarked for it under the scheme. Legacy is achieved, not claimed.

Good. Jonathan can now come into the race. Obasanjo is allegedly working on a Jonathan/Kwankwaso ticket as a Plan B. Not only will that revive the PDP, it will prove to be a very formidable ticket both in the North and South. It's the possibility of that ticket materialising that made Tinubu panic and forcefully demand Ganduje's resignation as APC chairman which was one of Kwankwaso's demands. Tinubu has no much option left than to grant all of Kwankwaso’s demands. |
Are they trying to mock defectors? So why has Tinubu been courting all 36 state governors while relentlessly chasing after Kwankwaso now for weeks? How does he expect them to feel? |
"Peace deal" is just a pseudonym for negotiations with bandits where money exchanges hands for "promise" of cessation of attacks. So-called peace deals where bandits come fully armed to the teeth are not peace deals, it's a show of force by the bandits and a capitulation of the state to superior firepower. It's nothing to celebrate. Genuine peace can't be procured with just money. |
Lol. Ambassador Reno with the ethnic baiting again. Governor Mbah should rather be commended for trusting a Yoruba contractor who ended up defrauding the state. What Nigerians are saying is that none of the former ministers of Buhari from the Southwest are currently being persecuted. Also all other politicians with EFCC cases who subsequently defected to the APC have more or less being pardoned and some have even bagged appointments.

Penguin2:Lol. Go read the electoral act carefully again. You cannot contest a party primaries twice in two separate parties. If you have Obi's number, better call him now to decamp back to the LP. The ADC will select its presidential candidate through a transparent party primary and no one will step aside for anyone except by their own will. Anyone unwilling to put in work and build the party is at liberty to leave while there is still time. There will be no free ticket handed to anyone and Obi was not cajoled to join the ADC. He came in of his own freewill and he's been part of the idea from scratch. |
Gotocourt:You're correct. If you observe carefully, only SaharaReporters currently report some of the news on insecurity. All other media has been suppressed or induced with money. |
Gotocourt:He was initially posturing to be considered as Tinubu's Vice in 2027 when talks about Tinubu replacing Shettima with someone from the Northwest gained traction. He's a green snake under the green grass. |
Racoon:Highly suspicious when you consider that the judgement is coming from Judge Lifu who has been widely linked with Wike. It's either Wike is undoing all he previously did to get back at Tinubu or this is another trap to continue what he started. |
Racoon:I also wonder what the Mods are doing. From the news about the kidnap to the denials and then the rebuttals and final admittance. None of the threads have graced frontpage. |
Hoelujohn:That's what happens when you believe your own hype and begin to think you are the only smart politician in the country. He thought opposition will be scattered and that Obi will move to another mushroom party. They never envisaged that Atiku, Obi, the Buhari CPC bloc, a bloc of the PDP and likely Kwankwaso (if things go South with Tinubu) will be willing and able to come together under one party. The plan could have succeeded but for the foresight of David Mark and other deft politicians who predicted the move and salvaged the ADC. |
Lol. Tinubu is paranoid. First PDP yesterday, now LP today. Tinubu wants Obi to go back to LP. They have seen that their plans to destroy opposition parties have backfired with the unification of major opposition figures, they are now frantically running round the clock to undo the damage. No wonder Tinubu is codedly mad at Wike and has refused to grant him audience. What seemed like a job well done has now become a liability and a major threat. Lessons! |
Delat521:Lol. Why are you bothered about Obi? Tinubu is paranoid. He should have left the PDP and LP alone instead of seeking to destroy them. Now he's frantically trying to salvage the party in order to prevent the alliance between the coalition members. PDP got a favourable judgement yesterday while Nenadi's faction of the LP just got recognised as the legitimate faction by the courts today. He now wants Obi to go back to LP but Tinubu will still lose if that happens. He is clearly desperate!
|
Tareq1105:If all what you said is correct why has the governor still not decamped? Today is Wednesday. Why is Tinubu still making frantic efforts to meet with Kwankwaso? Kwankwaso has publicly said that his only reservations about joining the APC is deficit of trust. He does not believe that Tinubu will keep his words and honour his demands as we have seen time after time. And he's right. Tinubu will make several promises to Kwankwaso but will eventually renege. Case studies, Elrufai, Wike, Ganduje, Shettima (soon), etc. His words are not worth the paper they are written on, but your likes call it master strategy. |
mechanics:Lol. Tinubu is still begging Kwankwaso. He has seen the handwriting on the wall. |
Disgraceful. Uba Sani is just all about media imagery, PR and propaganda. Sprinkled with a little bandit negotiations here and there that are tagged as "peace deals". Any peace procured with money is not sustainable. |
SaharaReporters has the exclusive. Uba Sani is just all about media imagery, PR and propaganda. Sprinkled with a little bandit negotiations here and there that are tagged as "peace deals". Christmyhope:Why not? Southern Kaduna have a history of voting Atiku until in 2023 when they voted Obi due to Tinubu's muslim-muslim ticket. They have no history of voting Tinubu nor the APC. |
BigDick70inch:I think it's time for moral self introspection for parents in the Southwest. The level of moral decadence from young children in the region is a cause for concern. These children are clearly under pressure from their parents and even enjoy their support to engage in such habits. From internet fraud, to prostitution, to thuggery and other moral vices. |
How is that a bad thing? The goal of every father is to have a son bigger and more successful than himself. |
Gotocourt:That man only cares about PR and propaganda. The reality on ground is very different. To him, if it doesn't get reported, then it never happened. It's very sad to see. |
