Good. Jonathan can now come into the race. Obasanjo is allegedly working on a Jonathan/Kwankwaso ticket as a Plan B. "Peace deal" is just a pseudonym for negotiations with bandits where money exchanges hands for "promise" of cessation of attacks. So-called peace deals where bandits come fully armed to the teeth are not peace deals, it's a show of force by the bandits and a capitulation of the state to superior firepower. It's nothing to celebrate. Genuine peace can't be procured with just money.

If the Labour Party structure is eventually handed to Usman, we have two possible outcomes.

The first is that should Obi lose the ADC ticket, he can easily fall back to LP and grab its ticket and contest the election (to waste votes [I know]).

Second, if Obi gets the ADC ticket with Usman in charge of LP, that means the LP structure will easily be deployed for Obi as well.

Lol. Go read the electoral act carefully again. You cannot contest a party primaries twice in two separate parties. If you have Obi's number, better call him now to decamp back to the LP. The ADC will select its presidential candidate through a transparent party primary and no one will step aside for anyone except by their own will. Anyone unwilling to put in work and build the party is at liberty to leave while there is still time. There will be no free ticket handed to anyone and Obi was not cajoled to join the ADC. He came in of his own freewill and he's been part of the idea from scratch.

That's what happens when you believe your own hype and begin to think you are the only smart politician in the country. He thought opposition will be scattered and that Obi will move to another mushroom party. They never envisaged that Atiku, Obi, the Buhari CPC bloc, a bloc of the PDP and likely Kwankwaso (if things go South with Tinubu) will be willing and able to come together under one party. The plan could have succeeded but for the foresight of David Mark and other deft politicians who predicted the move and salvaged the ADC.

This where Atiku failed seriously and cost him the last election. Atiku would have do everything humanly possible to persuade Peter Obi not to leave PDP in last election because they would have win fair and square before noon on election day. But because of hubris or lack of political acumen a missed the chance which is going to be difficult for him now.

This is what Tinubu wouldn't like to let happen to him. He will ensure every major actors be with him to just make general election be like walk in a park for him. It's not easy to be able to do that because it require high level political negotiation skills which many Nigerian politicians are seriously lacking.

Don't forget again that kwakwaso need Tinubu more than Tinubu needs him. Kwakwaso cannot achieve anything under his NNPP platform and that's why he's shopping for where he would be VP now and president in 2031. These demands cannot be gotten in APC tinubu and not even in ADC coalifusion. So, I don't see kwakwaso achieving his desire under APC bcoz there are better materials from the north than kwakwaso. However, I see the Gov defecting without kwakwaso.

Kwankwaso has publicly said that his only reservations about joining the APC is deficit of trust. He does not believe that Tinubu will keep his words and honour his demands as we have seen time after time. And he's right. Tinubu will make several promises to Kwankwaso but will eventually renege. Why not? Southern Kaduna have a history of voting Atiku until in 2023 when they voted Obi due to Tinubu's muslim-muslim ticket. They have no history of voting Tinubu nor the APC.

I think it's time for moral self introspection for parents in the Southwest. The level of moral decadence from young children in the region is a cause for concern. These children are clearly under pressure from their parents and even enjoy their support to engage in such habits. From internet fraud, to prostitution, to thuggery and other moral vices.

How is that a bad thing? The goal of every father is to have a son bigger and more successful than himself.
