My joy is that Tinubu will not be there forever. The table will eventually turn. Once that happens, we don't want to hear "he was a Mobil accountant before politics" from any Agbadorian o. Every single penny and property amassed will be properly explained or forfeited. |
Na wao. One week, one trouble. These are not the best of times for our lida, the Obio-Akpor Ghengis Khan. |
Op, why mention Mbaka? He isn't the "prophet" that made the statement. Why not post the full news? An unknown prophet who's also a campaigner for the president is just a political jobber. Kindly post a list of his prior prophecies that have come to pass. |
SmartPolician:As a cooperate social responsibility, I guess. The 15 trillion naira coastal project awarded to their company with road setbacks reserved for themselves, is also an example of them doing a lot for Lagos. Why didn't the owner of Julius Berger also get awarded the GCON title? |
Executive banditry and abuse of office. Why was it done like a thief in the middle of the night and at a time when the president was not even in the country? National honours, just like our national anthem, have lost its substance ever since the "June 12 people" got into power. The GCON is the second highest title in Nigeria. It shouldn't be handed over to personal business associates on a whim. |
Racheal45:Tinubu encourages and rewards betrayers because he's one himself. Fubara, Uba Sani, Reno Omokri, Daniel Bwala, Abba Kabir, etc. His lackeys call it master strategy. |
Okay. We hope he'll finally be courageous to decamp to the APC without further delay. Without Kwankwaso, Governor Abba will only be seeking to run on Ganduje and Barau's structure while killing their own ambitions. He needs to be wary of Ganduje as Ganduje is wary of him. He won't even win the primaries in the APC if it's thrown open. He adds nothing to the APC in real terms but desperate Tinubu does not care as long as he can get even one extra vote for himself.
|
d142475:Lol. Tinubu is scheming to betray Shettima as he did Elrufai before him and you're here blaming the Fulanis. Is Elrufai a Kanuri man? Which Fulani man is Tinubu planning to replace Shettima with? Continue to bury your head in the sand but you all have long been figured out. |
Putindbutt:De-scoped by who? Project bandits! Legacy is achieved, not claimed. The Enugu-Onitsha Expressway remains a legacy project of Buhari. Umahi who was sycophantic until Buhari’s death looked into the camera and claimed Buhari never did anything for the Southeast after his passing. |
Nothing to see here. According to Agbadorians, Trump is waiting for an Obioma tailor from Nnewi to give him the coordinates so he can strike. |
Racoon:But why in the world would anyone rate Shehu Sani in the first place? Except someone who does not reside in the North and follow his antecedents. He's just another political jobber and one of the "June 12 people" who failed woefully when they were given a chance to walk their talk. |
But where is Fergie001 and nlfpmod? Food don done! |
Implosion don start already? The Northeast is waiting for Tinubu to replace Shettima as being speculated. We will all learn politics together! Tinubu was scheming to replace Shettima with Kwankwaso until Trump came and urinated all over their parade by allegedly instructing Tinubu to balance his ticket with a christian. Now they are in a dilemma. |
Who would stop the North? Tinubu can't even get his so-called "Southern agenda" right. He himself relied on 5.6m votes out of his total 8m in order to become president. |
Shehu Sani is blaming the Igbos, FFK is saying otherwise. It's not an accident, it's a calculated strategy of divide and rule by the divisive APC government scheming to play both sides and pitch Nigerians against one another. |
My only grievance with half of Tinubu's supporters is that they feel ashamed to identify with him. They always go through corners and pretend to be fence-sitters instead of supporting him with their full chest. |
mohims:If votes didn't count, politicians wouldn't be splurging cash to buy votes. Where I'm from, elections don't get rigged without the people's permission. If APC's only pathway to re-election is via rigging in 2027, then an unpleasant surprise await them. |
callthefred:Okay o Maradona. We will be here to count scores, God willing. |
fergie001:The Northcentral will always be split. It's the most diverse region in Nigeria right next to the Southwest. Not even Tinubu can confidently say his re-election has been won and lost as at today. So many variables that will determine are yet to occur. For example, we know Tinubu is being pressured by the West to drop Shettima for a christian. This singular action alone will re-draw the electoral map if it materialises. |
Sensational headline. Obasanjo is not yet a member of the ADC but Kwankwaso is welcome to the party. The ADC will conduct a free and fair primaries and whoever emerges will be supported by the rest of the aspirants in the party. |
mohims:Lol. If you are asked to say why you feel so now, you will say because he has 30 governors. He also had over 25 governors in 2023 and only won 12 states. At least, half of those states were not even APC-governed states for that matter. The APC governors largely failed in delivering their states. Tinubu is more unpopular now than he was in 2023, amongst the voting electorates. |
Why na? I thought Agbadorians said Atiku’s son and the still-yet-to-defect governor of Kano will deliver Kano to Tinubu? We will all learn politics together! |
Orlandoo:9 million dollars is just the lobby money for the U.S. firm. You have no idea how much has been set aside for local lobbying. Expect more articles such as this. Pay no mind to it. Just set your eyes on the ball. Tinubu is a one-term president. |
They keep repeating this after every quarter. That Nigerians have learnt to be resilient to hardship does not mean that things are improving. Beyond the price of imported rice (we will talk about its negative impact on our agricultural sector later), what other item has seen a reduction in price? Anyone? |
Nairaland is no longer hiding its bias. Agbadorians on twitter have said worse things about Obi and Atiku. None of them made Nairaland frontpage. We know many so-called Obidients are just moles planted by the ruling party. They will reveal themselves immediately before and after the elections. We saw it happen in 2023. |
Hasn't this always been the plan? Since when did Seyi have a claim over the Lagos seat over names like Gbajabiamila, Hamzat and co, who are all now being technically schemed out? The ground is just being wet for Seyi to assume the seat in 2031. GAC is just a pseudonym for Tinubu proxies. They have no real power beyond what Tinubu wants. The so-called GAC backed the impeachment of Obasa but Tinubu overruled them to bring him back. Who is fooling who? |
Tinubu’s aide should know better than to involve himself in this debacle as he will only end up costing his principal political capital. This whole saga has also confirmed what most of us already know, the Southwest is not as united as some people like to portray on here. |
Putindbutt:A newspaper like Thisday publishes a news item, a Nairalander creates a thread about it and the moderator pushes it to frontpage and then you have the temerity to call it fake news. Should we rather believe what Putindbutt (what a name!) says instead? Why not sue the newspaper for publishing fake news. |
Tinubu’s desperation is now palpable. Is he prepared to take the Kano APC structure from Ganduje and Barau and hand it over to Abba Kabir, who is obviously still dragging feet and unsure of his decision? Why is he so obsessed with courting governors while doing little to win the support of the voting electorates? |
This is no different from what is already out there about the 2023 elections. Tinubu won the elections with the least margin ever in the country because it was a three-horse race and Northerners split their votes three-ways (Tinubu, Kwankwaso, Atiku) to accommodate Tinubu with 5.6m votes out of his total 8m votes coming from the muslim North. It is also a no-brainer that a united opposition will unseat Tinubu in 2027 and the coalition is already on course to achieve that, having done the hard part of bringing Obi and Atiku under one umbrella. The next task will be managing the fallout arising from the party primaries and putting forward a united front against the incumbent. This will not be as difficult as their supporters currently make it seem because talks have already gone on underground for a long time before the public alignments. With Kwankwaso set to decamp to ADC as being speculated, the elections might just be over before the first ballot is cast. There will be no way Tinubu can scale through in an election where the three runners-up from the previous election unites against him. |
coputa:Edit the thread and insert the link from The Guardian. https://guardian.ng/politics/tinubu-may-pick-musa-kukah-two-others-as-running-mate-in-2027/ |
Yes you are. For now. Until the Okereke of Rumuprikom alias corner corner master, says otherwise. |
