PoliticsRe: Untold Story Of What Happened Between Makinde And Tinubu In The Villa - Fayose by AMINDA: 9:36pm On Jan 22
Baby talks. For a closed-door meeting. Was it Bayo Onanuga that leaked the outcome of the meeting to Fayose? Or maybe it was Tinubu himself. Fayose will eventually make peace with the fact that Tinubu has thrown Wike under the bus.
PoliticsRe: Lateef Are To US: Tinubu Approves Posting Of Four Ambassador-Designates by AMINDA:
France no go dey there ke? Why posting them in piecemeal? It's almost 3 years into your administration? So the likes of Reno will only end up serving for few months before the end of his tenure, if at all.

Modified: In another policy flip-flop that has become characteristic of this government, Dakingari has been dropped as Ambassador-designate to Turkey. This was barely two hours after the announcement. His name might have been sneaked in by one of the Villa boys. Is Tinubu truly in-charge of his government?

PoliticsRe: I Am Comfortable In PDP – Makinde Declares After Meeting Tinubu by AMINDA: 9:18pm On Jan 22
Ttalk:
It's getting irritating reading your monologue about election in Nigeria. Is this how desperate you are. Atiku son who supposed to carry the election matter is observing table manner but a Nairaland warrior is here spewing whatever will make him have partial relief about the imminent defeat that await his party.

I want to ask you, why are the terrorist in the north killing and sacking villages. What's their end goal.
Tinubu knows them, or at least he's supposed to. He's the Commander-in-Chief and that goes beyond riding in escalades and junketting to France. If my commentaries hurt your feelings, kindly skip them for the sake of your own mental health. This is the politics section, not a playground for kids.
PoliticsRe: Fubara Is The Leader Of APC In Rivers, That's The President's Position - Bwala by AMINDA: 9:15pm On Jan 22
ednut1:
Was Ambode the leader of APC in lagos back then?
That's the double standards for you. Even Sanwo-olu is not the leader of APC in Lagos as we saw with the impeachment and reinstatement of Obasa, but there can only be one monarch.
PoliticsRe: Fubara Is The Leader Of APC In Rivers, That's The President's Position - Bwala by AMINDA:
The gloves are off. Tinubu has finally thrown Wike under the bus as predicted. It's phyric victory. Today's meeting with Makinde was probably to solidify his hold on the party in exchange for some concessions. Wike will not go out without a fight.

givedemwotowoto:
We know Makinde was told to field a Presidential candidate to weaken ADC but it won’t change anything

It will be like Ribadu running for President under AD in 2011
You're probably right. It's called controlled opposition but as long as the candidate comes from the South, it will only weaken APC.
PoliticsRe: I Am Comfortable In PDP – Makinde Declares After Meeting Tinubu by AMINDA: 9:06pm On Jan 22
Gotocourt:
I’m comfortable in the PDP,” Makinde said.

Emilokan is on life support 🤣😂😅, make Dem no remove ventilator oOoOO 😂
Tinubu has probably struck a deal with Makinde to checkmate Wike. He will handover the PDP structure to him to prevent Wike from having a foothold. All the recent court judgments are already a pointer to this. The presidency is also now coming out strongly against Wike in the public. Wike will not go out without a fight.
PoliticsRe: Shell Announces $20 Billion Investment In Bonga South West Oil Project by AMINDA: 8:59pm On Jan 22
"Plans to invest" are what Agbadorians are celebrating for lack of any achievement to campaign with. This is no different from an MOU. It's not even a Final Investment Decision (FID). Did Dubai not also "plan to invest" trillions in Nigeria's economy? What are the timelines and when is it coming?
PoliticsRe: Makinde, Tinubu Meet In Aso Rock by AMINDA: 8:57pm On Jan 22
Mubiola360:
i do not understand you, people join ADC just as some also join APC ..o still have somebthat will vote AAC. The issue that Asiwaju is scared should be removed. The time you should have said he was worried was 2023 when he was backstabbed by his own party members setting a lot of traps on his way like the Emefiele policy, Malami rule of law, Aregbe body shaming, Osinbajo backstabbing together with many of the APC- CPC faction opposition to destroy APC in collaboration with Northern ATIKU and Obidense Religious war issues.
They are aligning for their own benefit and to also be part of tbe transformation going on.
Despite all this narrative you try to spew, the North gave Tinubu 5.6m votes to make him President. He didn't win the South. He has largely betrayed virtually all of those Northerners who risked it all and supported him in 2023. Just as he has done to Wike after signing agreements with him. Trust is a big factor in politics.

PoliticsRe: I Am Comfortable In PDP – Makinde Declares After Meeting Tinubu by AMINDA: 8:48pm On Jan 22
Elusive001:
So to you, the results were a true reflection of votes?
In the North, yes. Can't say same for other regions. Elections don't get rigged in the North unless the people permit it. It's the fastest way to get counted for whosoever attempts to do so for an unpopular candidate.
PoliticsRe: I Am Comfortable In PDP – Makinde Declares After Meeting Tinubu by AMINDA: 8:46pm On Jan 22
The presidency is already beginning to publicly throw Wike under the bus and Wike will fight back. Even if by proxies.

PoliticsRe: I Am Comfortable In PDP – Makinde Declares After Meeting Tinubu by AMINDA: 8:44pm On Jan 22
Elusive001:
Bros, the electorate, Eyeneck and sister judicia, are the two that will decide, unless GOD Almighty says otherwise. Remember say na dem run am in 2023.

2023 runs was coined "glitch", we go see an improved version in 2027.
You are not entirely correct. Tinubu got 5.6m votes in the North in 2023 and it was largely free and fair. Northerners kept their words and repaid him for supporting Buhari in 2015. If the elections were rigged, it was in the Southern states like Rivers. Noise is not strategy neither is it numbers. Obi needs an alliance if he's ever to become president, same as Atiku. But the North is where the numbers are and numbers do not lie.
PoliticsRe: I Am Comfortable In PDP – Makinde Declares After Meeting Tinubu by AMINDA: 8:31pm On Jan 22
Even if Makinde decamps to APC, it changes nothing. He supported Tinubu in 2023. Tinubu is only trying to strike a deal again this time because he fears Makinde contesting will split his Southwest base. Heads or rail, Southwestern votes will still get split. We are only talking about the ratio here.
PoliticsRe: How Atiku's Greed Is About To Hand Tinubu A Second Term by AMINDA: 6:05pm On Jan 22
brodalikeme:
I have maintained this sentiment jointly shared by a number of people as well.

Atiku remain the biggest singular threat to the opposition political parties and by extension democracy in Nigeria. People don't actually want him. His presence and ambition keeps disrupting the political scenery.
The moment he shelve his ambition now, the apathy you are currently seeing will evaporate.
Wouldn't it just be easier for Obi to defect back to LP and contest on his own? Atiku will not step down. Do not mistake noise for substance. Atiku’s supporters are not on nairaland and they don't own twitter accounts. They only have PVCs and do not do voter apathy as a form of protest. Be rest assured that they will vote. When the North gave Tinubu 5.6m votes in 2023, it wasn't because they hated Atiku. It was because they owed Tinubu for having supported Buhari in 2015. Northerners largely keep their words until betrayed. If you support them, they will return the favour unfailingly. But they have the leverage as far as numbers go. Obi got 99% of Southern votes but it wasn't enough. He needs that handshake across the Niger but nothing goes for nothing. Tinubu has since lost Northern support and he has only lost it to one man. Politics is not an emotional sport.
PoliticsRe: Makinde, Tinubu Meet In Aso Rock by AMINDA: 5:52pm On Jan 22
richnankar1:
The only thing Tinubu understands is politics and nothing else. Imagine spending weeks outside the country and since his return the news headlines we are seeing is how he is meeting with Kano state governor in the state house and now Makinde. He doesn't have time to address and talk to Nigerians regardless of the many challenges we are facing. It's pathetic and heart breaking.

Nigerians please let's come together and redeem this country from wicked and heartless politicians.
Touché. He has not made any statement on the kidnapped people but he has held multiple marathon political meetings on 2027. He is also set to junket to Turkey again over the weekend on another jamboree.

You are a very funny 🤡
Tinubu afraid of who?
Tinubu invited him to beg who?
They need to ban children from access to Internet because who be this 🤡
Okay o. Makinde pleaded to see the president and invited himself to Aso Rock. Why are you celebrating this though, did Makinde not support Tinubu in 2023, against his party PDP?

PoliticsRe: Makinde, Tinubu Meet In Aso Rock by AMINDA: 5:24pm On Jan 22
benardtotti:
I will wait for Aminda to react first before I drop mine 😁😁😁😁
What does it matter? This changes nothing in the grand scheme of things. Can Makinde do more than he did for Tinubu as member of G5 in 2023? Tinubu invited him to probably apologise and induce him to jettison his presidential ambition. He will keep doing that because we already told you that the only way he can return elected, is to be the only candidate on the ballot. Tinubu is afraid and it clearly shows. We know the whole drama between Wike and Makinde was scripted and was a strategy to destroy the PDP, but it has backfired because the main opposition figures have aligned. Tinubu will now sacrifice the political ambitions of Penkelemesi and Teslim in favour of Makinde's candidate. He only cares about his own ambition.
PoliticsRe: If I Were Engineer Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde; But I'm Not. by AMINDA: 4:51pm On Jan 22
Paid article. Agbadorians are becoming afraid? You all claim it is the turn of the South but are doing everything to ensure that other Southerners are not on the ballot to challenge Tinubu. "Jonathan should not contest, Obi should not contest, Makinde should not contest". Is Tinubu the owner of the South? Engineer Seyi Makinde is at liberty to exercise his right by contesting the presidential elections and no amount of paid articles or smear campaigns can change that.
PoliticsRe: Peter Obi Triumphs Over Tinubu, Wike, Gets Heroic Welcome In Abuja by AMINDA: 3:20pm On Jan 22
JealousCobra:
Atiku should just support Obi to complete southern 4 yrs remaining, if not APC will continue ruling. Atiku should learn how to play a profitable politics
Atiku and Amaechi should step down for Obi and after that? You will also demand that Tinubu steps down for Obi abi? Obi himself already told you that no one will be stepping down for anyone. He's in the ADC with his full senses and is not hynotised.
PoliticsRe: How Atiku's Greed Is About To Hand Tinubu A Second Term by AMINDA: 3:14pm On Jan 22
The labour party has recognised the Nenadi faction of LP and Turaki is now the recognised Chairman of the PDP. Obi is not being held down in the ADC against his will. The ADC will conduct a transparent primary to select its presidential candidate and no one will step down for anyone, except by their will. Obidients didn't even know Obi was part and parcel of the ADC until he publicly declared it in Enugu. It will be best to manage your expectations lest you get disappointed.
PoliticsRe: 2027: Abayomi Mumuni Warns Against Replacing Shettima by AMINDA: 2:58pm On Jan 22
gabbytabby:
The key issue for me is not the Christian issue but on whether the purpose of selecting Shetima was realised and to what degree.

Shettima was recruited to assist with diffusing security situation with the Fulani and to this end he has not made any inroad, if another can then, that should be explored. He is looking more like a dead weight or even a cat given a fish.
Lol. Was that the reason why he was chosen? Are you sure it wasn't because of the 5.6m Northern votes that Tinubu got? Or was it Shettima's people that contributed that number and not the fulanis?
PoliticsRe: Gambari Doubts APC Long Rule, Cites NPC, NPN, PDP Cases by AMINDA: 1:42pm On Jan 22
The Buhari bloc have since parted ways with Tinubu. He's running an ACN affair while thinking he's a monarch.
PoliticsRe: Chief Judge Of Rivers State, Justice Amadi Replies Assembly Speaker by AMINDA: 1:24pm On Jan 22
seunmsg:
This is the only sensible thing to do. All parties will now go back to court and argue their case till it is decided by the Supreme Court. Since party primaries should be concluded by June or so, APC candidate would have been settled before the case is decided.
Already throwing Wike under the bus so fast? Is he no longer your favourite? You condoned all his excesses when the going was good. Anyways, don't come back crying when Wike begins his retaliation because he certainly will.
PoliticsRe: Atiku Head And Shoulders Above All ADC Candidates - Baba-Ahmed by AMINDA: 12:27pm On Jan 22
For the umpteenth time, Baba-Ahmed is a Tinubu mole. His purported resignation as Tinubu's political adviser was scripted. He's been unleashed to destabilise the coalition but he doesn't have the clout.
EponObi:
He is a delegate. You guys don't understand that the game is on. cheesy
How's he a delegate when he's not a member of the ADC? He's a registered member of the People's Redemption Party (PRP).

I thought they've given Mr Reno an ambassadorial appointment..
Whats is he still doing writing meaningless epistle.
I understand his yearn for clout as a publicist but wth is he still chasing clout as an ambassador designate
An ambassadorial appointment without a station. Tinubu is yet to deploy them and probably never will. He's literally an ambassador-at-large.
PoliticsRe: Shehu Sani Urges Collective Action Over Kajuru Kidnapping, Backs Kaduna Govt. by AMINDA: 10:21am On Jan 22
Hypocrisy. Despite the initial denials by the government? Did he advocate for same during the previous administration? Anything to hustle for that appointment or endorsement.
PoliticsRe: 2027: APC Forum Rejects Moves To Drop Shettima by AMINDA: 9:54am On Jan 22
stuffs2002:
Biafra and IPOB agents are the ones spreading the narrative that APC wants to drop Shetima. They are doing that in a bid to stabilize the APC
Are they also the reason why you couldn't get it up last night? At this point, it's safe to say you're obsessed. Seek professional help.
PoliticsRe: 2027: Abayomi Mumuni Warns Against Replacing Shettima by AMINDA:
No smoke without fire. Tinubu's body language and posture already suggests that he intends to replace Shettima. At this point, even if he ends up not doing so, he has already dampened morale and created a trust deficit in the minds of the APC Northeast caucus and they still won't wholeheartedly campaign for him.

APC's implosion is inevitable. Listen to the Borno Speaker.
