muykem:Does his silence bother you? So you finally confess that he's the arrowhead of the opposition? Just relax. |
Richtaiwo:Don't get ahead of yourself. Makinde will be a "nice to have" in the ADC. The party’s chances are not hinged on his defection. Unlike Tinubu that is counting on governors. |
seunmsg:Please stop quoting me and seeking my validation in all comments. Are you finally ready to replace Shettima with Kwankwaso? I thought you said Tinubu won't succumb to his demands? Worry about the backlash that will emanate from that. |
seunmsg:Lol. Have you pivoted back to supporting Kwankwaso again? We will all learn politics together. Didn't I tell you Tinubu was delaying Abba's move so he can beg Kwankwaso some more? In any case, the news of his endorsing the governor's move is inaccurate.

Game on! Barau and Gawuna's ambitions successfully buried. Cunnyman die, cunnyman bury am. Tinubu will be outplayed in this game. After he is voted out as planned, Northerners can finally rebuild the party. Modified: To the APC lackeys prematurely celebrating this news, get an hausa speaker to interpret for you. Compromised media houses have been commissioned to twist his words but hear from the horse's mouth. The governor's defection without Kwankwaso failed to give APC the needed momentum so they are attempting to create one by faking it. Modified again: A click on the Premiumtimes link also shows that they have edited the news and issued a disclaimer as Kwankwaso never endorsed the governor's defection as can be heard clearly in his speech. Cc: Mods, Seunmsg, Richtaiwo, etc. Sorry to cut your euphoria short.

All I see in the picture are 15 votes. What happened to Okowa's 1.3 trillion naira EFCC case? Is that the price for pledging his support to Tinubu? |
That will be bad for Tinubu, wouldn't it? Especially that of Seyi Makinde. That will effectively split the Southwest and put the 3 populous states of Lagos, Osun and Oyo in contention. It's not yet Uhuru for Tinubu afterall. Not even in the Southwest. |
Putindbutt:Did Tinubu not deny and undermine the killings in Owo and also that of Olu Falae's daughter when it happened by asking "where are the cows?" Didn't he do so because he wanted Fulani votes? |
lawani:Fair enough. A teeming population of the North are involved in agriculture which has been exempted from VAT and CIT. Otherwise, the numbers will show. |
Military aid to a government that negotiates with and pardons terrorists? Who would they be using it on? |
Flets:Well analysed but the Southsouth is not really in the bag for APC as it may seem. Even Rivers may be a close call even if Tinubu backs Fubara. He can only be assured of Rivers if he backs Wike and he rigs the election like in 2023. He may likely back Wike because Wike is a spoiler that can complicate things for the president, even in other states. Tinubu would also seal his reputation as a betrayer if he ditches Wike, especially having treated Elrufai in same manner. It will also create an atmosphere of distrust, especially for newly defected governors. The best approach for Tinubu if he had no intention of backing Fubara was to not have accepted him into the APC in the first place, just like they did to Adeleke. Wike will accept no compromises. Any deviation from the originally signed agreement will see him going rogue, even if covertly. |
This thread proves a lot of Southerners have never been to the North. In terms of real estate numbers, quality of housing and architecture, the North is doing much better than the South. Aside from Lagos which is already saturated, not much is going on in other parts of the Southwest. |
Agbadorians tried to pass the buck to Katsina on the release of 70 hardened terrorists but since when did jailed terrorists fall under the purview of states? It is no longer in doubt that the negotiations and release of terrorists that has become a norm under this regime is a federal government-backed policy. Capitulation to terrorism to buy temporary peace for election-winning purposes is not a wise nor sustainable strategy, it is total surrender. |
The reality is that both Fubara and Wike's support for Tinubu are corner corner because none of them knows who Tinubu will eventually betray in favour of the other. While Wike is allegedly propping up the NDC as a backup, Fubara is allegedly romancing the ADC via the backdoor. This is what happens when Tinubu tries to eat from two pots at the same time. He may eventually end up with nothing. |
What are the corner corner master and Otapiapia master up to this time? |
Nairaland mods are complicit. Nafiu Bala is not the Chairman of the ADC. There is also no faction in the ADC. |
Una don begin beg? This is just the beginning. |
But there's no evidence that our lida, Nyerishi alias Corner Corner master, has made Odili to cry. |
Lamasta:Fair enough but he's just setting a precedence that would be noted by succeeding governments. The Green Rail is a state project, not federal. This is why Lagos will have a hard time convincing anyone that the state is not a nomansland because it gets subsidies from the federal government that other states don't get. |
Sorry for your loss, Champ! The whole country mourns with you. |
Lamasta:What rail line to Niger for the North? The Kano-Maradi rail line is meant to link with the Lagos-Kano railway line and serve as a conduit for land-locked Niger to export and import it's goods through Nigeria via Lagos ports which will see Nigeria cornering all that sahelian market for itself in terms of revenue. Tinubu had only one job, to link Ibadan rail line to Abuja but he would rather sink 15 trillion on a coastal road awarded to Chargoury, his business partner. Every single thing he does, appears crafted to serve his personal business interests, not even that of the Southwest. |
When people say FG is subsidising Lagos, the databoys will vehemently deny it. Will all other states of the federation also be getting counterpart funding for what is clearly a state project? |
Umahi has inadvertently or perhaps, deliberately allowed himself to be the face of the heist going on under this government. He will be treated like Malami and Emefiele by the incoming government. |
Dialpad:What coup plotters? The government explicitly came out to say there was no coup attempt. Why continue to extra-judiciously detain the men then? Transparency is very important in a democracy. We are not under a dictatorship. |
Bayo Onanuga is busy churning out press statements unsupervised while Tinubu was last seen wobbling in the United Arab Emirates. What has Nigeria gained from these incessant trips where he clearly looks lost and out of place? |
Wickedtruths:Why not ask Tinubu instead? The answer is in this thread created by you. You can't sow yam and harvest cocoyam.
|
fergie001:No cast update na. Tinubu must drop and boys must chop. |
If it's a popular move as Agbadorians will have us believe, why is this the case? The defection was slated for today but it has been indefinitely postponed again for the third time. What is happening? Lessons! |
seunmsg:What does it matter? It's Ekiti. A state where the other APC aspirant was disqualified (just like in Osun) and the ADC chairman was brutalised and prevented from holding their party activities. That's the new democracy under your tin-god. |
Of course. Tinubu takes money out of the pockets of struggling Nigerians via taxation and hands it over to governors with immunity. He then turns around and asks the citizens to hold the governors accountable. Everyone who opposed the removal of subsidy argued that it would just be more of the same and nothing will change. They have been proven right. Nigerians were better of with subsidy. Now, it's just governors enjoying the largesse and people still wonder why they are all defecting to APC. |
Noted but when is the governor defecting? Agbadorians told us it would be today. Have they fixed a new date? Lessons! |
Dereliction of duty from the federal government. What authority does a state government have releasing inmates that were jailed for terrorism? Is that why he's so desperate to enact state policing? |
