Quran is only the religious book on the face of the earth that says Marry only one as mention in chapter 4:3 but it also mention in same chapter that Marry women of your choice two, three, or four; but if you fear that you shall not able to deal justly with them, then marry only one(4:3) At another place it also mention that you are never able to fair and judge as between women (4:129) Conclusion@ Therefore polygamy is not a rule but an exception, many peoples are under the misconception that it is compulsory for a Muslim man to have more than one wife. Broadly, Islam has five categories of Do’s and Don’ts: ‘Fard’ i.e. compulsory or obligatory ‘Mustahab’ i.e. recommended or encouraged ‘Mubah’ i.e. permissible or allowed ‘Makruh’ i.e. not recommended or discouraged ‘Haraam’ i.e. prohibited or forbidden Polygyny falls in the middle category of things that are permissible. It cannot be said that a Muslim who has two, three or four wives is a better Muslim as compared to a Muslim who has only one wife. because naturally no woman would like to share a man, and sometimes. By nature males and females are born in approximately the same ratio. A female child has more immunity than a male child. A female child can fight the germs and diseases better than the male child. For this reason, during the pediatric age itself there are more deaths among males as compared to the females. During wars, there are more men killed as compared to women. More men die due to accidents and diseases than women. The average life span of females is more than that of males, and at any given time one finds more widows in the world than widowers. World female population is more than male population I don't want to list down county wise, but its true. Thus, considering above points normally women have two option before a woman who cannot find a husband is to marry a married man or to become public property. Islam prefers giving women the honourable position by permitting the first option and disallowing the second. There are several other reasons, why Islam has permitted limited polygyny, but it is mainly to protect the modesty of women.treating them equally does not necessarily mean making love with them all the same number of times each, giving them the same amount of affection or even loving each of them the same - it means that you show respect to each of your wives for the duty she performs for you, regardless of whether her role is keeping the house, making babies or raising your children.

In light of your failure in recent years to nominate competent candidates for President of the USA and thus to govern yourselves, we hereby give notice of the revocation of your independence, effective immediately. (You should look up 'revocation' in the Oxford English Dictio nary.) Her Sovereign Majesty Queen Elizabeth II will resume monarchical duties over all states, commonwealths, and territories (except North Dakota, which she does not fancy). Your new Prime Minister, David Cameron, will appoint a Governor for America without the need for further elections. Congress and the Senate will be disbanded. A questionnaire may be circulated next year to determine whether any of you noticed. To aid in the transition to a British Crown dependency, the following rules are introduced with immediate effect: --------------- -------- 1. The letter 'U' will be reinstated in words such as 'colour,' 'favour,' 'labour' and 'neighbour.' Likewise, you will learn to spell 'doughnut' without skipping half the letters, and the suffix '-ize' will be replaced by the suffix '-ise.' Generally, you will be expected to raise your vocabulary to acceptable levels. (look up 'vocabulary'). --------------- --------- 2. Using the same twenty- seven words interspersed with filler noises such as ''like' and 'you know' is an unacceptable and inefficient form of communication. There is no such thing as U.S. English. We will let Microsoft know on your behalf. The Microsoft spell-checker will be adjusted to take into account the reinstated letter 'u'' and the elimination of '-ize.' --------------- ---- 3. July 4th will no longer be celebrated as a holiday. --------------- -- 4. You will learn to resolve personal issues without using guns, lawyers, or therapists. The fact that you need so many lawyers and therapists shows that you're not quite ready to be independent. Guns should only be used for shooting grouse. If you can't sort things out without suing someone or speaking to a therapist, then you're not ready to shoot grouse. --------------- ------- 5. Therefore, you will no longer be allowed to own or carry anything more dangerous than a vegetable peeler. Although a permit will be required if you wish to carry a vegetable peeler in public. --------------- ------- 6. All intersections will be replaced with roundabouts, and you will start driving on the left side with immediate effect. At the same time, you will go metric with immediate effect and without the benefit of conversion tables. Both roundabouts and metrication will help you understand the British sense of humour. --------------- ----- 7. The former USA will adopt UK prices on petrol (which you have been calling gasoline) of roughly $10/US gallon. Get used to it. --------------- ---- 8. You will learn to make real chips. Those things you call French fries are not real chips, and those things you insist on calling potato chips are properly called crisps. Real chips are thick cut, fried in animal fat, and dressed not with catsup but with vinegar. --------------- ---- 9. The cold, tasteless stuff you insist on calling beer is not actually beer at all. Henceforth, only proper British Bitter will be referred to as beer, and European brews of known and accepted provenance will be referred to as Lager. South African beer is also acceptable, as they are pound for pound the greatest sporting nation on earth and it can only be due to the beer. They are also part of the British Commonwealth - see what it did for them. American brands will be referred to as Near-Frozen Gnat's Urine, so that all can be sold without risk of further confusion. --------------- ------ 10. Hollywood will be required occasionally to cast English actors as good guys. Hollywood will also be required to cast English actors to play English characters. Watching Andie Macdowell attempt English dialect in Four Weddings and a Funeral was an experience akin to having one's ears removed with a cheese grater. --------------- ------ 11. You will cease playing American football. There is only one kind of proper football; you call it soccer. Those of you brave enough will, in time, be allowed to play rugby (which has some similarities to American football, but does not involve stopping for a rest every twenty seconds or wearing full kevlar body armour like a bunch of nancies). --------------- ------ 12. Further, you will stop playing baseball. It is not reasonable to host an event called the World Series for a game which is not played outside of America. Since only 2.1% of you are aware there is a world beyond your borders, your error is understandable. You will learn cricket, and we will let you face the South Africans first to take the sting out of their deliveries. --------------- ----- 13.. You must tell us who killed JFK. It's been driving us mad. --------------- -- 14. An internal revenue agent (i.e. tax collector) from Her Majesty's Government will be with you shortly to ensure the acquisition of all monies due (backdated to 1776). --------------- 15. Daily Tea Time begins promptly at 4 p.m. with proper cups, with saucers, and never mugs, with high quality biscuits (cookies) and cakes; plus strawberries (with cream) when in season. God Save the Queen! |
Today is yet another sad day for our country Nigeria. This morning General Muhammadu Mamman Shuwa was murdered just outside his Maiduguri home by a group of heartless people who are suspected to be members of the Muslim fundamentalist sect Boko Haram. This is a tragedy of monumental proportions. General Muhammadu Mamman Shuwa was not only an absolute gentleman but was also perhaps the most respected, effective, disciplined, restrained and successful battle commander in the Nigerian Army during the civil war. He was in command of the 1st Division of the Nigerian army and it was the 1st Division that managed to defeat the Biafran Army and enter the east from the northern front. Unlike many other commanders on both sides of the war, Shuwa was known for his immense compassion for the civilian population quite apart from his extraordinary courage and fighting skills. It is a matter of historical record that, unlike with other commanders, no massacres of civilians were carried out under him or by his 1st Division throughout the entire course of the war. After capturing them he treated the Biafran soldiers, enemy combatants and the Igbo civilian population with immense respect and remarkable compassion. This man was not just a profoundly good and humane person, he was not just a war hero, but also a great father, husband and family man. He was a very quiet man who consistently shunned the limelight and public office even though there is not one retired senior army officer in this country or politician, alive or dead, that did not revere him and hold him in the highest esteem. He was not only one of General Yakubu Gowon’s most trusted and able officers and senior commanders during the war but was also exceptionally close to and highly respected by other great and distinguished war-time commanders like General Olusegun Obasanjo, General Muhammadu Buhari, General T. Y. Danjuma, General Benjamin Adekunle, General Adeyinka Adebayo, General Sani Abacha, General. Alani Akinrinade and General Ibrahim Babangida. They all looked up to General Shuwa just as did those of us in the younger generation and who are not in the military. I should mention the fact that again as a measure of this great man’s level of compassion it is on record that during the northern officers counter-coup of July of July 1966 he saved the lives of many Igbo offices by locking up the armoury and refusing to give up the key after the mass killing of Igbo officers started all over the country. At that time General Shuwa was Commander of the 5th Battalion in Kano. Had it not been for his timely intervention and efforts and the efforts of the late Major General James Oluyele, who was his Second in Command at the time, many more Igbo officers that were stationed in Kano, would have lost their lives that night. Yet there is far more to the story of this great man than just his efforts, as gallant and indispensible as they were, during the civil war. He went on to live a long and distinguished life of honour, duty, selfless service and distinction after the war. I mourn with my brother Hon. Yusuf Tuggar and his dear wife who have lost their father-in-law and father respectively in such tragic and cruel circumstances and I mourn with the Shuwa family of Maiduguri for this great loss. If I were to ever use the great Mark Anthony’s words when he saw Julius Caesar’s bleeding and dying body after he was cut short by Brutus and the other Roman traitors this is the time that it is appropriate to do so. For I can say of General Muhammadu Shuwa as Mark Anthony said of Caeser that “here lies a Caesar, after whom comes no other”. We have lost a true ‘’titan’’ and a living ‘’immortal’’ all rolled into one. He was a great son of Nigeria and a glorious shining star and we must do all that we can to honour him even in death. May the Lord have mercy upon General Muhammadu Mamman Shuwa and forgive him of all his sins. May his good deeds speak for him before God. May the Lord welcome him into the hosts of Heaven. May his wonderful and compassionate soul rest in perfect peace. And may the Lord avenge him of all those that saw fit to cut short his precious life.

front page pls i mr amshi have often painted a black picture of this country, not because i do not like nigeria,i love my nation as u all do,but i have been trying to paint that black paint in order to draw our attention to what the country badly needs and sadly lack. i have painted the picture of the country as a society in which the institution of family has broken down. respects for elders and constituted authority which used to be a cardinal principle in our society, is now a lost hope, honesty where it does pay has become meaningless. in short as i keep saying, there is meaningless philosophy, insecurity in politics, chaos in policy, immorality in society, frustration in act, corruption in economy, lack of cretivity in literature. this is not in our character we were fine people, a decent people, responsible people.but before i have always painted this pictures. i am beginning to see light at the end of the tunel. i do have a dream,i have a dream that nigeria wil soon take a proper place in the committee of nations i have a dream dat nigerians will become the real brother keepers,i have a dream dat nigeria will come to witness the unity that has eluded this country, and we have shall have a united and prosperous country.i have a dream that the entire unhappier things we see around us today will soon vanish.nigeria is a great country it is not for nothing that God has brought us together, different tribe, culture, religion and even different climatic conditions. God have brought us together so that we can learn to live together peacefully, so that we learn to be our brothers keeper because of the role we are destined to play in africa and in the black world.we are destine to inspire the blacks, we are destine to leads the blacks, we are destine to be a leader in africa. in other to achieve these lofty goal all hands have to be on deck, we must learn to accommodate one another at home, irrespecttive of our economic. political and cultural Affiliation thank you M.m amshi

those this mean jesus prayed like the muslms do?The teacher of the Law stood on a high wooden platform built for the occasion. Beside him on his right stood Mattithiah, Shema, Anaiah, Uriah, Hilkiah and Maaseiah; and on his left were Pedaiah, Mishael, Malkijah, Hashum, Hashbaddanah, Zechariah and Meshullam. 5 Ezra opened the book. All the people could see him because he was standing above them; and as he opened it, the people all stood up. 6 Ezra praised the LORD, the great God; and all the people lifted their hands and responded, “Amen! Amen!” Then they bowed down and worshiped the LORD with their faces to the ground... |

truly to tell a joke, is very difficult. Writing a joke is even more difficult. Telling a joke involves humor, dedication, timing, and, last but certainly not least, a punchline. This article will discuss each of these steps and factors. For this article I'd like to issue a disclaimer: I'm no expert, far from it, experts are people like George Carlin, Bill Hicks, Lenny Bruce, Bill Cosby and Jerry Seinfeld. There are many others, that is just a brief list. That being said, let's try to tackle this joke- telling business! Difficulty: Challenging Instructions 1. Have a joke to tell. Think about the topic of the joke and the circumstance. What is humorous about the group of words being put together? Is there a punchline? While jokes can come in many different forms, some are one-liners, some are rants, some are stories. The one thing that all jokes have in common, or should have in common, is a punchline. A punchline is what separates a joke from a statement. 2. Determine that your joke is humorous and that other people would find it humorous as well. If your joke is about your imaginary friend, there's a good chance the audience won't find that funny because they don't know your imaginary friend. However, they may find it funny if you poke fun at yourself for having an imaginary friend...maybe. 3. Write your joke out or record it onto a tape recorder or digital recorder. Study the timing and the dedication to the joke. Are you sure of what you're saying? Are you communicating to your listeners? Do you have a rhythm? Remember, going too fast can lose your audience and would not allow them enough time to absorb your punchlines. Going too slowly may make the audience simply lose interest and not pay attention. 4. Stick to the joke. Is this universally funny? Your answer should be yes. If you do not have confidence in your joke, people are not going to laugh at it. You need to be confident in your material and aware that you do have humor to convey to others. 5. Begin telling your joke in front of people. Do they laugh? If so, what did they find funny? If not, where did you go wrong? Record this event and review it. If it worked, hooray! Continue telling the joke, try to expand it and make it even funnier. If it failed, try to find out what went wrong and try again. If a joke completely bombs 3 times, cut it To the front page please |
When someone treats you like you’re just one of many options, help them narrow their choice by removing yourself from the equation. Sometimes you have to try not to care, no matter how much you do. Because sometimes you can mean almost nothing to someone who means so much to you. It’s not pride – it’s self-respect. Don’t expect to see positive changes in your life if you surround yourself with negative people. Don’t give part-time people a full-time position in your life. Know your value and what you have to offer, and never settle for anything less than what you deserve |

East Room of The White House THE PRESIDENT: Thank you, everybody. Please, please have a seat. Good evening, everyone. And welcome to the White House. Of all the freedoms we cherish as Americans, of all the rights that we hold sacred, foremost among them is freedom of religion, the right to worship as we choose. It’s enshrined in the First Amendment of our Constitution -- the law of the land, always and forever. It beats in our heart -- in the soul of the people who know that our liberty and our equality is endowed by our Creator. And it runs through the history of this house, a place where Americans of many faiths can come together and celebrate their holiest of days -- and that includes Ramadan. As I’ve noted before, Thomas Jefferson once held a sunset dinner here with an envoy from Tunisia -- perhaps the first Iftar at the White House, more than 200 years ago. And some of you, as you arrived tonight, may have seen our special display, courtesy of our friends at the Library of Congress -- the Koran that belonged to Thomas Jefferson. And that's a reminder, along with the generations of patriotic Muslims in America, that Islam -- like so many faiths -- is part of our national story. This evening, we’re honored to be joined by members of our diplomatic corps, members of Congress -- including Muslim American members of Congress, Keith Ellison and Andre Carson -- as well as leaders from across my administration. And to you, the millions of Muslim Americans across our country, and to the more than one billion Muslims around the world -- Ramadan Kareem. Now, every faith is unique. And yet, during Ramadan, we see the traditions that are shared by many faiths: Believers engaged in prayer and fasting, in humble devotion to God. Families gathering together with love for each other. Neighbors reaching out in compassion and charity, to serve the less fortunate. People of different faiths coming together, mindful of our obligations to one another -- to peace, justice and dignity for all people -- men and women. Indeed, you know that the Koran teaches, "Be it man or woman, each of you is equal to the other." And by the way, we’ve seen this in recent days. In fact, the Olympics is being called "The Year of the Woman." (Laughter.) Here in America, we’re incredibly proud of Team USA -- all of them -- but we should notice that a majority of the members are women. Also, for the very first time in Olympic history, every team now includes a woman athlete. And one of the reasons is that every team from a Muslim-majority country now includes women as well. And more broadly -- that's worth applauding. (Applause.) Absolutely. More broadly, we’ve seen the extraordinary courage of Muslim women during the Arab Spring -- women, right alongside men, taking to the streets to claim their universal rights, marching for their freedom, blogging and tweeting and posting videos, determined to be heard. In some cases, facing down tanks, and braving bullets, enduring detentions and unspeakable treatment, and at times, giving their very lives for the freedom that they seek -- the liberty that we are lucky enough to enjoy here tonight. These women have inspired their sisters and daughters, but also their brothers and their sons. And they’ve inspired us all. Even as we see women casting their ballots and seeking -- standing for office in historic elections, we understand that their work is not done. They understand that any true democracy must uphold the freedom and rights of all people and all faiths. We know this, too, for here in America we're enriched by so many faiths, by men and women -- including Muslim American women. They’re young people, like the student who wrote me a letter about what it’s like to grow up Muslim in America. She’s in college. She dreams of a career in international affairs to help deepen understanding between the United States and Muslim countries around the world. So if any of the diplomatic corps have tips for her. She says that "America has always been the land of opportunity for me, and I love this country with all my heart." And so we’re glad to have Hala Baig here today. They are faith leaders like Sanaa Nadim, one of the first Muslim chaplains at an American college -- a voice for interfaith dialogue who's had the opportunity to meet with the Pope to discuss these issues. We're very proud to have you here. They are educators like Auysha Muhayya, born in Afghanistan, who fled with her family as refugees to America, and now, as a language teacher, helps open her students to new cultures. So we're very pleased to have her here. They are entrepreneurs and lawyers, community leaders, members of our military, and Muslim American women serving with distinction in government. And that includes a good friend, Huma Abedin, who has worked tirelessly -- (applause) -- worked tirelessly in the White House, in the U.S. Senate, and most exhaustingly, at the State Department, where she has been nothing less than extraordinary in representing our country and the democratic values that we hold dear. Senator Clinton has relied on her expertise, and so have I. The American people owe her a debt of gratitude -- because Huma is an American patriot, and an example of what we need in this country -- more public servants with her sense of decency, her grace and her generosity of spirit. So, on behalf of all Americans, we thank you so much. These are the faces of Islam in America. These are just a few of the Muslim Americans who strengthen our country every single day. This is the diversity that makes us Americans; the pluralism that we will never lose. And at times, we have to admit that this spirit is threatened. We’ve seen instances of mosques and synagogues, churches and temples being targeted. Tonight, our prayers, in particular, are with our friends and fellow Americans in the Sikh community. We mourn those who were senselessly murdered and injured in their place of worship. And while we may never fully understand what motivates such hatred, such violence, the perpetrators of such despicable acts must know that your twisted thinking is no match for the compassion and the goodness and the strength of our united American family. So tonight, we declare with one voice that such violence has no place in the United States of America. The attack on Americans of any faith is an attack on the freedom of all Americans. (Applause.) No American should ever have to fear for their safety in their place of worship. And every American has the right to practice their faith both openly and freely, and as they choose. That is not just an American right; it is a universal human right. And we will defend the freedom of religion, here at home and around the world. And as we do, we’ll draw on the strength and example of our interfaith community, including the leaders who are here tonight. So I want to thank all of you for honoring us with your presence, for the example of your lives, and for your commitment to the values that make us "one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all." God bless you. God bless the United States of America |
This is the little among the punishment in the grave but our prophet has taught us how to seek for Allah Protection from it all. The Prophet S.A.W said should be seek Allah's protection from the evil of grave by saying this Adhkaar In the last Tashahud before Salamo ( Allahumma inni a'uzubika min adhabi l qabri, wamin adhaab jahna, wamin fitnatil mahya, wal mamaat, waminshari fitnati maseeh-dajjal . Meaning! Oh Allah, I seek refuge in you from the punishment of the grave, and from the punishment of Hell- fire, and from the trials of life and death, and from the evil of the False Messiah. This prayer is in the Citadel of the believer and a lot. May God spare us from d pains of d grave. Ramadan Kareem
