The Lexus LS marked the first successful entrant of a Japanese manufacturer into the prestige luxury arena,[48] a market that had long been dominated by established European and American brands. By 1991, with the LS 400 its top-selling model,[160] Lexus had overtaken Mercedes-Benz and BMW in overall U.S. sales,[161] and in 2000, the marque passed Cadillac as the luxury sales leader in the largest automotive market.[162] Rival manufacturers responded with lower prices and added features.[163] In particular, Mercedes-Benz reorganized its operations, shifting to a targeted-cost process similar to Lexus production methods,[164] and dropped competing U.S. base prices by nearly 10 percent.[165] To rival the LS 400,[166] extra features were rushed for the launch of the 1991 Mercedes-Benz S-Class (W140),[164][167] causing budget overruns and costing the job of Daimler-Benz's chief engineer, Wolfgang Peter.[166] Approximately 5 percent of 1989 LS 400 sales went to buyers employed by rival manufacturers, including GM, Ford, and Chrysler.[160] When the LS 400 was disassembled for engineering analysis, Cadillac engineers concluded that the vehicle could not be built using existing GM methods.[168] Industry publications noted the LS 400's precise panel gaps, and the subject became a common evaluation standard in road tests.[166] The LS 430's interior noise level was later used by rival makes as a measure of cabin quietness.[169]

According to industry observers, the introduction of the Lexus LS reshaped Toyota's image from that of an "econobox" manufacturer to the builder of an automotive standard bearer.[170][171] This stood in contrast to the predictions of early detractors, including rival manufacturers who dismissed Toyota as incapable of producing a competitive luxury vehicle.[171] Japanese contemporaries from the luxury divisions of Honda (Acura) and Nissan (Infiniti) had differing degrees of success.[172] Honda had entered into a joint venture with Britain's Austin Rover Group in November 1981, launching Project XX with an Austin Rover–Honda XX letter of intent to replace the Rover SD1 with the Rover 800 and to provide a midsize, V6-powered luxury sedan for Honda, called the Honda Legend.[173] Marketed as the Acura Legend in the U.S., the sedan initially sold well, but subsequent models (renamed Acura RL) performed below sales expectations.[174][175] Launched by Nissan in December 1989, the V8-powered Infiniti Q45 closely rivaled the LS 400 in specifications and price,[176] but was unsuccessful in sales (attributed to unconventional styling and marketing), leading to its discontinuation in 2006.[177] The success of the Lexus LS became a test case for mainstream manufacturers targeting upscale segments. By investing in a separate marque, Toyota was able to avoid the stigma attached to a mass-market brand's charging premium prices.[178] The effect of the LS 400 on the automotive industry led Automobile magazine to add the sedan to its "24 Most Important Vehicles of the 20th Century" list in 1996.[179]

Hahaha, I understand how you feel but what should we expect from a pastor that can be tied to fake miracles like "changing SS genotype to AA genotype" and "raising the dead". Also if you know how much these churches make per annum from tithes and offering you will know that opening free schools can't claim up to 0.001% of their annual revenue. So I see these charities as a cheap advert strategy. Still commendable though at least if all churches can follow suit it would mean a lot.

You did not include Avoid kazeem at all cost. Otherwise they will rebrand your car. They will remove your thermostat and fix your fan direct, they will tell you to buy Mobil XHP instead of 5w30 recommended by the manufacturer. Etc avoid them oh

Today I am a blessed man. I live a comfortable life and my family is fine. Nothing can make me commit suicide not even if I kill the president.

How does one succeed in what he hates, theirs the absence of passion. Passion is the driving factor. More so, we don't have passion for all kinds of businesses, even when we love business. It's like hating a subject in school, you don't get to do well therein. Find your passion or throw the money into thin air. Many goes into business with the plan to kill the business, but in the process, they get killed, hence, many businesses folds up in few months

Success in life absolutely depends on passion, it takes passion to conquer failure, if you fall, without passion, you won't be able to get up again. Every business has it's challenges, and it requires passion to stand head to head against such challenges.

You already failed in that business, and lost your 5M even before you start. Seek what you have passion for.

I am an Igbo man but I hate business. Recently a friend of mine who runs a restaurant business adviced me to open a Coca-Cola distributor shop for him to manage it for me. He started saying this since last year but but I paid no attention until recently. On Tuesday last week I told him to go to Coca-Cola depot to find out how it will be, how much is involved and the distribution line. He told me that when he was working in Coca-Cola company that he was among their sales staff. He convinced me that there is profit in it if I could start with at least 2. 5M naira.
Please Fellow nairalanders I am not a fan of business and their huge profits or loss infact if I have had a little love for business I would have been managing a big business now after my NYSC. So I need advice from professionals here. Is this journey of having a business worth it? What are the possible challenges and breakthrough?
Help a brother.
