Example of how to calculate the Import Duty of your car, lets say Toyota Corolla 2004.

SOLUTION
The CIF Value of Toyota Corolla 2004 is $2194. Please note that this CIF Value is usually in USD and the exchange rate the NCS uses at the moment is N326. The Rate of Duty for Vehicles is currently 35% of CIF Value.

So lets convert the CIF Value to Naira, $2194 X 326 = N715,244
Lets get the 35% of N715,244. Which is N715,244 X 0.35 = N250,335.4
Now N250,335.4 is your Import duty which is called the surface value.
To get the total amount u are to pay including VAT, Surcharge & ETLS, we have to multiply our surface value with a constant value of 1.28
So N250,335.4 X 1.28 = N320,429. This is your total import duty

Clearing Agent Fee is below N100,000 and its opened for negotiations.

Shipping company / Terminal Fee, budget between N60,000 to N80,000 (Estimate)

Good evening fellow nairalanders, you will recall I made the post below a year ago about the British government denying my sister her resident permit after spending more than 10 years in the UK. I want to inform this forum that my sister won her case in court last month and today, she has been given her permit to stay permanently in the UK. God is faithful. Believe in your self and don't lose hope.
Below are my post last year.

Good evening all please a cousin of mine needs my help from London. She attended her university there about 10 years ago and started working. But recently when they supposed to issue her papers they did not so she went to court and won the case but her lawyer was a swindler. She was given the option for getting her resident paper or getting her damages fees she opted for her papers but the lawyer insisted in both. The lawyer submitted his own account number requesting the government to pay him directly instead of my cousin. After so many arguments with the lawyer we advised her to allow the lawyer submit his account number hence what she needed is her papers. Now she was expecting a letter deliverying her resident papers but got a letter of denial. Now she is not aware if the lawyer has received alert and refused to inform her. She informed the lawyer of the letter of denial but all the lawyer could do was to request 1k pounds to reappeal the government decision. Please body with contact of human rights lawyers in London that can assist her? Useful advice please.

We did almost everything together but today grace has found you and you've rose and clapped your way into the corridors of fame and stardom, you're now a celebrity not just in Nigeria but all over the world.

I remember how we conquered the environments of Ama - ato. Azuatalam, Chigozirim known as Podosky and you and I. If we are not there the games won't be fun but you've forgotten so fast and now mingles with those that you met after being famous.

We played an academy club "Danish" together for years before you moved to Taye academy how can you just forget those days so fast?

I remember how happy i was when i watched you play for Nigeria under 17 in UAE 2013.. I was not surprised when you conquered the world in that stage because i knew how good you were prior to then.
